Chapter 244: TWENTY-FIVE
CHAPTER 244: TWENTY-FIVE
"MONSTER DISH?" Wonhee asked in disbelief while looking at the menu. "Are monsters edible now?"
The Executive Chef who introduced himself as ’Ryung Dae’ earlier brought Wonhee and Hwang Yejun to the VIP floor.
It was practically empty.
There were only seats for at at least four people, and maximum of eight since the tables were tables for two only.
However, the view there was magnificent.
[The Han River is always beautiful no matter the time of the day.]
"My head says yes, monsters are edible," Hwang Yejun said while checking the menu that Wonhee was holding. He had his own menu, but he chose to scoot closer to Wonhee and check the menu together. "I feel like we’re in a trance or something."
It shouldn’t make sense, but it did.
Wonhee felt like memories were overlapping in her head.
Hence, she was relying on her gut feeling and muscle memory.
[Everything feels natural to me, so I’m not panicking.]
"But whatever. As long as we’re not in danger, I guess this is fine," Hwang Yejun said nonchalantly. "What would you like to order, Chu Wonhee?"
"I’d like to have bourbon-glazed Sea Monster as appetizer and Dragon Steak for entrée," Wonhee said, and then she glanced at Hwang Yejun nervously. "Actually, I’m not sure if I can eat what I ordered. I’d still like to try it, though. I’m not just comfortable with the idea of wasting food."
"Then go ahead and order what you want," Hwang Yejun encouraged her. "If you end up not liking it, then I’ll finish it for you."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes," he said, tapping the menu. "Choose what you want to try aside from the Dragon Steak. I’ll order it and give it to you in case you end up not liking the Dragon Steak."
Aww.
Wonhee was wondering why Hwang Yejun was being too nice to her.
But, on the other hand, everything felt natural.
[I know that something is wrong with my memory, but I can’t be bothered dwelling on it. I’m safe, and I feel like I’m in the right place with the right person anyway.]
Yes, everything was fine.
"I’d like to try the Kraken Risotto with fresh herbs," Wonhee said, closing the menu. "I’m watching my weight, so you can decide what to have for dessert, Hwang Yejun."
"Let’s just get whatever is the best-seller here for our dessert," Hwang Yejun said, handing back the menu to the waiting Chef Ryung Dae standing behind them. "That will be our order, Chef."
Chef Ryung Dae repeated their order to confirm it, and then he bowed to them politely. "I’ll be back, our precious guests."
After that, the Executive Chef left.
Leaving Wonhee and Hwang Yejun alone.
"It’s weird that the Executive Chef is being so polite to us," Wonhee commented. "We’re just kids."
"We’re not ’just’ kids."
Well, that was kind of true.
Hwang Yejun was a naturally-awakened S-Class Hunter.
[On the other hand, I’m the younger sister of Yeon Soobin and Jang Semi. But does Chef Ryung Dae know that?]
Ah.
Come to think of it...
"Hwang Yejun, do you know who I am?"
"Yep," Hwang Yejun said, nodding. "You’re my future girlfriend, Chu Wonhee."
Aigoo.
Wonhee felt her cheeks burn from embarrassment.
And, although she didn’t want to admit this, she had to say that Hwang Yejun’s corny line made her feel giddy.
[Why is he hitting on me? And why do I feel like this is still normal?]
"Wonhee-ya, let’s take a picture."
"I don’t have my phone with me... wait. Why do you want to take a photo suddenly?"
Hwang Yejun shrugged. "I don’t know, but I feel like I’ll regret it if we don’t take a picture now."
To be honest, she felt the same way.
"Do you have your phone with you."
"I don’t— but I have a Status Window," Hwang Yejun said, grinning. And then he pulled her chair closer to him. "I can ask the System to take a picture of us."
Wonhee blushed again, but she didn’t feel bad getting close to Hwang Yejun. "I guess it’s not a bad thing to take a picture together."

"HUNTER HWANG Frost and Miss Chu are already having their brunch. Hunter Hwang Frost tested the food for poison first before he gave Miss Chu the signal to eat."
Semi was relieved after hearing Chef Ryung Dae’s report.
She wasn’t the only one who felt that way.
Chang-ho, her husband, had the same reaction as her.
And so did Soobin and Geon who had just arrived at Hamin’s private office. They all looked relieved to hear that Wonhee was safe.
"I should start preparing their dessert now," Chef Ryung Dae said. "May I be excused?"
Semi nodded, but it wasn’t her who dismissed the chef verbally.
"Yes, you may leave," Hamin said indifferently. "Thank you."
Chef Ryung Dae bowed towards them politely before leaving the room.
"Yeobo, you should go back to work," Semi said, gently rubbing her husband’s back. "I promise to squeeze out the information we need from Hamin about your niece."
Hamin just frowned at Semi’s threat.
Chang-ho, on the other hand, smiled apologetically. "I’m sorry I had to call you when you’re already busy with Hee-ya, yeobo."
"It’s alright, yeobo. After all, a Hunter should deal with a fellow Hunter."
"Thank you," Chang-ho said, relieved. "I mean it, yeobo."
"I apologize for interrupting your moment," Hamin said after talking to someone on the phone. "But Do Ahyeon and Semi-ssi’s son are here. They said it was an emergency."
Hmm?
Semi and her husband were surprised to hear that.
[Eunseok called us earlier and asked where we were, but he didn’t mention that there was an emergency situation.]
"Seon Eunseok probably caused trouble again," Soobin said while clicking his tongue. "Noona, Chang-ho Hyung, your son is too spoiled."
"I don’t think you have the right to say that when you spoil Eunseok yourself, Soobin-ah," Geon scolded his husband. "It’s illegal for Civilians to carry weapons that work on monsters, and yet you secretly send Items from dungeons to Eunseok all the time."
Soobin just faked a cough, but he couldn’t deny what his husband said.
[It’s true that Eunseok is a spoiled brat, after all.]
But what could Semi do?
[Eunseok is my only son...]
Semi’s worries were cut short when Eunseok and Do Ahyeon finally arrived.
Do Ahyeon had a serious look on his face while Eunseok was obviously sulking.
"What’s wrong, Do Ahyeon?" Semi asked the Hunter because she knew Eunseok wouldn’t talk at the moment. "Did you say there was an emergency?"
"Ma’am, the young master is in possession of a weird candy," Do Ahyeon said politely while handing Semi a bottle. "Young Master said it was just a normal candy, but when I took one, I found out that it was a C-Grade poison."
A loud collective gasp erupted in the room.

HMM?
Yejun felt like he had fallen asleep for a long time while having a long dream.
A dream that started when he and Wonhee turned into toddlers, and then they became teenagers, and now...
Oh.
[I’mback.]
The twenty-five-year-old Hwang Yejun had finally returned.
[It happened while Wonhee and I were having our dessert.]
Yejun turned to Wonhee.
Aww.
Wonhee was sitting straight, but it was clear that she had fallen asleep.
[How cute.]
He wanted to admire the sleeping Wonhee more, but his Status Window suddenly popped up in front of him.
[Welcome back, Hunter Hwang Yejun.
Your Status Window is now fixed.]
Yejun grinned— his eyes turning into little crescent moons that Wonhee would sometimes find creepy. "Finally, the time for revenge has come."
