CHAPTER 33: EXCLUSIVE S-CLASS GUIDE

"YEJUN-SSI, if I become your Exclusive Guide, then you can no longer receive treatment from other Guides," Wonhee reminded Yejun. It was as if the ’guidebook’ for her new job as a Guide was suddenly drilled into her head after talking to the Tangerine Fairy. "On the other hand, I can still guide other Awakened People."

"Well, you can’t guide other Awakened People if they’re already dead."

"Yejun-ssi."

"Just kidding," Yejun said, then he opened his orange eyes which were starting to lighten each passing moment. "I know that a Guide cannot be monopolized. But I still want you to be my Exclusive Guide, Wonhee. I’ll try not to be too jealous. I’m confident that only I can have a perfect matching rate with you anyway."

"I wonder where your confidence is coming from."

"My heart?"

"That’s so cringe."

He just shrugged.

"Are you sure you want me to be your Exclusive Guide, Yejun-ssi?"

"Yes, Wonhee-ya. 100%."

"Then I’ll press ’yes,’" Wonhee said, then she raised her hand and pressed the ’Yes’ button on her Status Window. "I’m under your care from now on, Yejun-ssi."

"Yes, I’ll take care of you forever~"

She was tempted to pinch Hwang Yejun’s cheek for his cheekiness, but she had a feeling that it would only backfire on her, so she didn’t. "Yejun-ssi."

"Wait," Yejun said. "We’re the same age, so just call me by my name."

"How did you know we’re the same age?"

"Graham lent me his phone, and we watched the last movie you made," he explained. "Then I looked you up on the internet."

"You watched my last film?"

"I didn’t finish it."

"W-Why? Do you think I suck at acting?"

"Nah, you’re too good at acting that I almost believed you were dating the guy in that movie," Yejun said, his eyes glowing menacingly. "I felt the urge to find that guy and strangle him– yah. What are you doing?"

It was because Wonhee covered Yejun’s eyes with her hand. "I’ll scold you every time you say or do something violent."

"..."

"Answer me, Yejun-ah."

It seemed like Yejun liked it when she addressed him casually because he smiled.

"Alright, Wonhee-ya," Yejun said, nodding. "I promise to control my temper around you."

"Not just around me," Wonhee said, removing her hand that covered his eyes. "Have more patience, Yejun-ah. And I need you to behave. If you cause trouble again, you’ll only give APA a reason to arrest you. Do you know that I had to be mean and blackmail President Kwon for your freedom?"

"Aww. You did that for me? Is this what they call love?"

"Yejun-ah, I’m serious."

"And so I am."

"The System gave me a mission," Wonhee said in a serious tone. "I need to help you to return to your S-Class Hunter status and free you from APA in one year. If I fail to do my mission, I’ll die."

Yejun suddenly growled lowly. "The System said that?"

She nodded, then she gently patted Yejun’s cheek. "Calm down. We have a whole year to complete the mission. It’s not like I’m going to die right away."

"It’s still upsetting."

"But you’re going to work with me so I don’t die, right?"

"Of course," Yejun said while nodding. "How can I help you?"

"It would be nice if I can share my Window with you–"

She stopped talking when her Status Window suddenly popped up in front of her.

It seemed like Yejun’s Window also appeared because he looked up blankly in the air.

Chu Wonhee and Hwang Yejun, would you like to create a chatroom with the Tangerine Fairy?

Yes or No.

"Tangerine Fairy is the cute Administrator that I introduced me to The System earlier."

"Then is it okay if I accept this request?"

"Yes, let’s do that."

"Okay."

Wonhee and Yejun pressed the ’Yes’ button at the same time.

Then their Status Windows turned to something similar to a chat room.

The first message that appeared in the ’chat room’ was the warning that she received earlier.

WARNING!

CONDITION: Change Hwang Yejun’s status from X-Class Hunter à S-Class Hunter, and free him from the grasp of the Awakened People Association.

TIME LIMIT: 365 Days.

PENALTY: Death!

Then Wonhee’s current mission flashed on the screen.

FIRST GUIDING STEP: 48 Hour of Sleep.

STATUS: Completed!

SECOND GUIDING STEP: Tuck Hwang Yejun in bed every night and give him eight hours of uninterrupted sleep for a month!

PROGRESS: 0%

SKILL NEEDED: Welcome to Chu Wonhee’s Sleeping Salon!

"I don’t like the threatening mission that you have," Yejun said seriously, then he slowly smiled. "But I like the second guiding step. That means you have to sleep with me."

"Excuse me?!"

"Calm down. I’m not talking about Advanced Treatment," he said, laughing at her reaction. "We have to maintain physical contact during our Guiding Time. So, you need to be next to me when I sleep. Isn’t that right, Administrator?"

A response appeared on Wonhee’s Status Window, and she was pretty much sure that the same response appeared on Yejun’s.

Tangerine Fairy: Yes, that’s correct.

"Then we should live together in the meantime," Wonhee said hesitantly. "Do you think they’ll allow us to live together in my penthouse? Or do we need to live in APA Headquarters? They need to observe us, don’t they?"

"I already destroyed the APA Headquarters, though."

"Then... the Blue House?"

Yejun stared at her blankly. "Aww. What a law-abiding citizen."

Wonhee smiled shyly. "Oh. You can tell?"

"Why do you look so proud?"

"Wasn’t that a compliment?"

"It wasn’t a compliment," Yejun said bluntly. "That’s just a nice way of saying you’re inflexible."

She pouted, her shoulders slouched. "You’re being mean to me again."

"You need to toughen up, Wonhee-ya."

Wonhee, realizing that Yejun was right, straightened her back. "Okay."

"And you should take advantage of the fact that you hold the leash of the strongest Hunter in Korea."

"Huh?"

"I’ll be the bad guy for you," Yejun said, smirking. "If I get rid of every single executive in APA, then wouldn’t it be the same as me being free from them?"

"Yejun-ah, we really need to work on your temper," Wonhee said, gently patting Yejun’s cheek. "But you can take down President Kwon in a different way."
