CHAPTER 38: A TRANSMIGRATOR’S PRIVILEGE

YOOL was fascinated while watching a scene from ’Guide To Your Heart’ live.

[Yes, the novel title is cheesy. I wonder what compelled me to read that BL novel. Was it the illustration? Graham looked hot in that– never mind. I’m not a homewrecker.]

"If you don’t leave this place with me, I’ll kill myself, Ahn Kisoo!"

Blergh.

The one who blurted out that lame-ass line was Song Sunho, a minor villain from Guide To Your Heart.

[He’s also the Vice Guild Master of the Autumn Guild.]

"You can’t do this, Sunho-ssi!"

And that pretty young man on the verge of crying was Ahn Kisoo.

Wow.

[Ahn Kisoo is prettier in person.]

And Yool also didn’t expect Ahn Kisoo to be taller than him.

[The Graham in the novel would often say he wanted to put Ahn Kisoo in his pocket, so it gave me the image that Ahn Kisoo was small. But damn. He’s probably around 180cm while I’m only 176cm if I round it up.]

That was also his height in his original world.

[Damn, the System didn’t even give me the chance to experience living as a tall man.]

That pissed Yool off, and that was probably what urged him to act on a whim.

"Watch me kill myself then, Ahn Kisoo!"

"Sunho-ssi, no–"

Ahn Kisoo, who was about to snatch the gun away from Song Sunho’s hand, stopped when someone else beat to it.

That someone was Yool.

[Thank goodness it’s a normal gun.]

As someone who served in the military for two years back in his original world, it was easy for Yool to unlock the handgun.

Then he pointed it at Song Sunho.

"You want to die in front of Ahn Kisoo, right?" Yool asked in a bored manner, then he pulled the trigger– shooting Song Sunho in the stomach. It didn’t make that much soud since the handgun had a silencer, but it did the job. "There you go."

Bye-bye, minor villain.

It was just annoying that the prick’s splattered blood hit Yool in the face since he was standing close to him.

[I shouldn’t have worn a white shirt today.]

"What did you just do, Gong Yool-ssi?" Ahn Kisoo asked, panicking. "M-Murder is bad..."

Yool shrugged. "Obviously. But it’s not murder if that bastard is still alive, right?"

"I-Is he still alive?"

Yool wiped the blood off his cheek with the back of his hand, then his gaze went from the unconscious Hunter bathing in his own pool of blood on the floor to the trembling pretty dude in front of him. "Do you want to help me bury that bastard, Ahn Kisoo?"

Once again, Ahn Kisoo looked shocked by his suggestion.

Heh.

[This kid’s reactions are so funny.]

"I-Instead of burying him, should we just ask Graham to burn the body to ashes?"

Hmm?

Did Ahn Kisoo really say that?

Yool couldn’t help but laugh softly while shaking his head. "Nah, don’t worry," he assured the Guide, then he squatted down and began searching for Song Sunho’s pocket. He easily found the bastard’s smartphone. "We just need this to get out of trouble."

Ahn Kisoo squatted down as well, facing Yool. "What are you going to do with Sunho-ssi’s phone, Yool-ssi?"

Yool grabbed Song Sunho’s hand and used the bastard’s finger to open his phone. Then he searched for the recordings he knew the jerk had been keeping all this time. "I’m just collecting the evidence we need to prove that this whole fiasco is planned to frame you up, Ahn Kisoo."

"M-Me?"

"Yes, you."

Yool immediately found the files that he needed. Then he pulled out his own phone. And, yes, he was sending the files to his phone in order to secure a copy.

Since he read the novel, he knew how to solve the problem in this "arc."

"Yool-ssi?"

"Yes?"

"Do you know Song Sunho?"

"I think most Koreans know Song Sunho is the Vice Guild Master of the Autumn Guild, and that he’s also Song Moonho’s younger brother."

Song Sunho was the minor villain.

On the other hand, Song Moonho was the big villain in Graham and Ahn Kisoo’s story.

[But I remember that Song Moonho was also a pain in the butt for the other Big 4 members since Song Moonho has made several sketchy deals with APA.]

"I’m not just asking about that, Yool-ssi."

"Oh."

Ahn Kisoo probably wanted to know why Yool looked like he already knew what was happening.

[But it’s not like I can tell Ahn Kisoo the truth.]

Hence, he just lied.

"I actually overheard this dude talking on his phone earlier," Yool lied. He didn’t hear Song Sunho’s phone conversation– but he read it in the novel. "I heard him say that the bullet in his handgun was an enchanted bullet made from a special Mana Stone. Apparently, it has the ability to make your heart stop for an hour. And the blood we see isn’t really his blood. When the bullet hit his body, it melted and turned into a red liquid similar to blood."

That was how Song Sunho got away with his devious plan in the novel.

Graham was late, but in the novel, he uncovered Song Sunho’s plan when he got a hold of the bastard’s phone.

[Apparently, Song Sunho has a complicated relationship with Song Moonho. Since he’s wary of his older brother, Song Sunho developed the habit of recording his conversations with Song Moonho. And that backfired on him in the novel– and it will backfire on him here as well.]

"KYAAAHHH!"

Yool turned to the person who screamed.

Pfft.

Just like in the novel, the person who "discovered" Song Sunho’s "dead" body was Yuna– Song Sunho’s official Guide.

[How funny.]

"Ahn Kisoo, what did you do to Song Sunho?!" Yuna screamed. "I’ll report you to APA!"

Naturally, Ahn Kisoo looked confused.

"See? I told you they were trying to frame you up. That woman is acting as if she saw you kill Song Sunho," Yool said, then he stood up and showed Song Sunho’s phone to the female Guide. "Go and call APA. I’ll also report the fact that you’re trying to frame up Ahn Kisoo for Song Sunho’s fake death."

Yuna, the female Guide, stopped fumbling with her phone. "W-What are you talking about? And who the hell are you?"

"I’m the one who shot Song Sunho with his smuggled gun."

"E-Excuse me?"

"Guns with special bullets that can kill or heavily injure Civilians are forbidden," Yool said casually. "Ah, you should also call the National Guide Center while you’re at it. I’m gonna report Song Sunho for sexually harassing Ahn Kisoo."

This time, Yuna paled as if she couldn’t believe that Song Sunho was fucked up already. "I-I’m not sure what you’re talking about..."

Yool didn’t have the time to listen to Yuna playing ignorant because his phone rang.

It was a call from Wonhee.

[Finally.]

"Ah, you don’t have to call APA or the National Guide Center," Yool said, smirking as he answered Wonhee’s call. "I have a stronger connection anyway."

***

WONHEE was surprised to see people gathered at the back entrance of the villa.

She wasn’t surprised when she saw Yool as the center of the commotion.

[Oh, Guide Ahn Kisoo is here, too.]

She wasn’t surprised by Ahn Kisoo’s presence there since it was Graham’s place.

But she was shocked when she noticed the unconscious man bathing in his own pool of blood on the ground.

[Oh my gosh!]

Wonhee immediately ran to Yool. "Yool-ah, are you alright?"

"Nah," Yool said, raising his cuffed hands. "I’m being accused of murder."

Wonhee and Ahyeon gasped at the same time.

Only then did they notice the presence of the police there.

Yes, police still existed in the new world.

[But most of the time, they only get involved in crimes committed by Civilians. If Awakened People are involved, APA usually handles the case.]

So, why...?

"Wony-ah, I’m sorry to ask this, but can you help me?" Yool asked calmly. "I don’t have a lawyer."

"Of course," Wonhee said, nodding. "I’ll come with you."

"M-Me too," Ahyeon added nervously. "H-Hyung, calm down. It’s okay. I believe in you!"

"M-Miss Chu Wonhee?"

Oh.

It was Ahn Kisoo.

Wonhee smiled at the Guide. "Yes, Ahn Kisoo-ssi?"

"Can I come with you?" Ahn Kisoo asked hesitantly. "I’d like to stand as a witness for Yool-ssi’s case..."

***

WONHEE massaged her temple after watching the CCTV footage in the police station.

The footage showed Yool shooting Song Sunho in the stomach clearly.

Unfortunately, the footage didn’t show Song Sunho attacking Yool. So, Yool couldn’t say that what he did was self-defense.

There was a huge possibility that Yool might be found guilty of murder.

"Song Sunho isn’t dead," Ahn Kisoo said to the police. "He’ll wake up in an hour."

Wonhee and Ahyeon gasped, then they turned to each other with wide eyes.

They didn’t have to talk since they were probably thinking of the same thing.

After all, both Wonhee and Ahyeon remembered that "plot point" that Yool used to tell them in the past.

[Yool used his privilege as a transmigrator to save Ahn Kisoo!]

***

sola_cola’s thoughts on this Chapter: Don’t worry, we’ll focus on Wonhee again next Chapter. LOL.
