My Life As The First S-Class Guide
Chapter 64: SCOLDING TIME
CHAPTER 64: SCOLDING TIME
SEMI CLICKED her tongue as soon as Hwang Frost disappeared with Hee-ya.
And it happened as soon as her baby sister fainted.
"I can’t leave my defenseless baby sister to Hwang Frost," Semi declared. "I’m going ahead. Take care of the report for me."
"Noona, should we watch this first?" Song Moonho asked, grabbing Semi by the sleeve of her coat. Then he showed her his smartphone. "The Watchdogs have posted a new broadcast, and Chu Wonhee is in the thumbnail."
What?
Watchdogs belonged to the rebel group called ’Watchdog Pack’ that would often clash with APA.
"’Pineapple’ was the one who posted a video on their channel this time."
Both Semi and Graham clicked their tongues at what Song Moonho said.
Among the members of the Watchdog Pack, ’Pineapple’ was the most annoying one because he once declared that he had "eyes everywhere"– and it seemed to be true.
[Pineapple is like a human CCTV.]
Semi let out a frustrated sigh. "Play the video, Song Moonho."
"As you wish, Noona."
Song Moonho then played the video on his phone.
The scene that greeted them wasn’t pleasing.
After all, the video showed how Wonhee guiding Graham while three monster wolves were trying to devour her.
Semi felt a chill down her spine.
And then anger followed.
[I was relieved when our Hee-ya awakened as a Guide instead of a Hunter because I thought she would be safe since she didn’t have to raid dungeons. But what is this? Even though my baby sister didn’t enter a dungeon, she still got hurt by monsters?]
"I’m sorry, Noona," Graham said apologetically. "I failed to protect Chu Wonhee... and I also broke her arm."
Semi glared at Graham. "What did you say?"
"It wasn’t shown in the video, but before that, I grabbed Chu Wonhee by the arm while I was still in a drunk state..."
Semi wanted to grab Graham by the collar, but Song Moonho stopped her.
"Nooka, that kid’s arm is already broken," Song Moonho said. "I bet the other kid already broke his arm to avenge Chu Wonhee."
The "other kid" would be Hwang Frost, of course.
[Only Graham and Hwang Frost are the "kids" among the Big 4.]
Graham didn’t say anything, though.
[He probably doesn’t want to be a snitch.]
"Semi Unnie!"
"Moonho-san!"
[Ah, they’re here.]
Kang Rona, Semi’s thirty-year-old Guide.
Meguro Shun, Song Moonho’s Japanese Guide.
"Unnie, are you alright?" Rona asked, holding Semi’s hands while inspecting her eyes. Then the female Guide let out a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness your eyes are still normal!"
Semi nodded.
She had a 68% matching rate with Rona. It was rare for a Hunter and Guide to exceed the 50% mark. However, Semi and Rona’s matching rate remained the lowest among the Big 4.
Song Moonho and Meguro Shun had a 74% matching rate.
Graham and Ahn Kisoo had an 81% matching rate.
Hwang Frost and Wonhee had a 100% matching rate.
Even so, Semi was satisfied with her matching rate with Rona.
After all, she rarely fought to raid dungeons anyway. She was mostly locked up in her laboratory. Hence, she only needed her Guide every time she ran out of energy.
"I’m alright, Rona," Semi assured her Guide. "It’s dangerous for you to be here."
"APA sent us here," Rona said, sighing. "It seems like APA was afraid you and Song Moonho-ssi would go berserk as well."
"They’re too much," Meguro Shun complained while hugging Song Moonho from behind. "APA treats us like they own us."
Song Moonho didn’t react to what his Guide said. He simply patted Meguro Shun’s hands around his waist. "I don’t need Guiding right now, Shun-ah."
Meguro Shun looked disappointed, but he silently removed his hands from Song Moonho’s body.
"Where’s Ahn Kisoo?"
Uh-oh.
Everyone who knew about Ahn Kisoo’s current state froze.
Of course, only Graham didn’t know what happened to his Guide.
"Ahn Kisoo is in the hospital, kid," Song Moonho said– brutally honest as ever. "He was fatally shot by an unknown assassin."
[This old bastard...]
As expected, Graham immediately released a bloodlust so thick it instantly made Rona and Meguro Shun fall to their knees.
Haaah.
"Calm down if you want to see Ahn Kisoo," Semi said sternly. "We won’t let you see your Guide otherwise."

YOOL honestly thought he would have to fight Yeon Soobin.
He’d be lying if he said he wasn’t scared.
Yeon Soobin may not be a combatant Hunter, but he was still a lot stronger than a civilian like Yool.
[He’s not really gonna kill us, right?]
"Don’t worry, I’ll be quick," Yeon Soobin said bluntly. "It won’t hurt."
Yool was about to pull Ahyeon and use his Civilian body to protect his Hunter friend, but fortunately, something happened.
"Vice President!"
Lee Cheongsan, Yeon Soobin’s chief secretary, came running while waving his smartphone at them.
Yool’s hawk-like eyes instantly caught Wonhee’s picture on the phone.
[Is that a video of Wony?]
"Ahyeonnie," Yool said while tugging at the hem of Ahyeon’s suit. "Remove your barrier now."
Ahyeon looked confused, but he nodded right away. "O-Okay, Hyung."
Just like that, the barrier around them collapsed.
Yeon Soobin and Shin Geon just looked at Yool and Ahyeon blankly before they approached Lee Cheongsan.
[He’s that person who bribed the police for us...]
"Vice President, you have to see this," Lee Cheongsan said in a hurry. "The Watchdogs released a video featuring Miss Chu and Hunter Graham."
Yeon Soobin and Shin Geon immediately watched the video in Lee Cheongsan’s phone.
On the other hand, Yool immediately pulled out his own smartphone and searched for the trending video on the internet.
Pineapple, one of the important members of the Watchdogs, had a famous channel online.
As expected, the trending video came from Pineapple’s page.
After Yool played the video, Ahyeon let out a loud gasp.
Tsk!
The video showed Chu Wonhee bitten by monster wolves while guiding Graham.
Fuck.
[Wony-ah...]
"Let’s go," Yeon Soobin said to Shin Geon and Lee Cheongsan. "The comments said they spotted Semi Noona in the other videos, so let’s call Semi Noona first."
Yeon Soobin left in a hurry while Lee Cheongsan followed his boss.
Shin Geon, on the other hand, stayed behind to talk to Yool and Ahyeon. "You know your way home, don’t you?"
Yool nodded. "Can we use Wony’s helicopter to return to her penthouse?"
He should be getting Wonhee’s permission, but his friend wasn’t there.
[Might as well ask Wony’s brother-in-law.]
"I’m sure our Hee-ya would give her permission if she was here," Shin Geon said, nodding. "Go and take our Hee-ya’s helicopter. Then let me know if our Hee-ya is at home by the time you get there."
"Yes, sir."
Shin Geon then left and followed Yeon Soobin.
"Hyung, we’re going back to Wony Noona’s penthouse?" Ahyeon asked worriedly. "Do you think she’d be at home instead of the hospital?"
Well, the latter was a possibility.
However...
"I have a feeling that Wony would rather be at home than the hospital," Yool said confidently. "And I’m sure the System will help her heal her injuries."

"NOT A a word," Yejun warned the talking orange in a cold voice while he was gently tucking Wonhee in bed. "My patience is running thin."
Fortunately, the talking orange kept his mouth shut.
Yejun then pulled several expensive potions out of his Inventory.
Those were potions that he bought from Jang Semi. He kept them stored in his Inventory so APA wasn’t able to seize them.
[Let’s see...]
Yejun first poured the potion on Wonhee’s wounds which looked like plain water.
[It’s for dulling the pain.]
Then he poured the blue potion on Wonhee’s bite marks.
[It’s to cleanse the wound and get rid of poison, if there’s any.]
Then, finally, he poured the golden potion on Wonhee’s wounds.
[This is the most expensive potion that Semi Noon has ever brewed yet. It can heal almost any kind of physical wound. Plus, the potion also refills half of the receiver’s lost Mana.]
Fortunately, it was worth the price.
Wonhee slowly opened her eyes, then she stared at Yejun’s face.
It took a moment before recognition crossed her eyes.
"Yejun-ah."
"Yes, it’s me," Yejun said, plopping down on the chair next to the bed. "How are you feeling, Wonhee-ya?"
"Gross," Wonhee answered weakly while getting up. "I wanna take a bath..."
He looked at her blankly.
It seemed like his message was received well because Wonhee’s face turned red as if she was embarrassed.
"I’m sorry for leaving without you, Yejun-ah."
"Uh-huh."
"Don’t be upset," Wonhee complained lightly, pouting. "It was an emergency."
Yejun fell silent for a moment. "Wonhee-ya, who do you think is the most dangerous Awakened Person in Korea?"
"Y-You?"
"Yes, me," he said bluntly. "It’s not only because I’m an X-Class Hunter– but also because I won’t hesitate to freeze the country to death if I lost my shit again."
"Yejun-ah..."
"You’re the only person keeping me sane, Wonhee-ya. If I lost you, I’d definitely go insane and freeze the country to death. Who knows? I might even freeze the entire world if I completely lose control."
He wasn’t being arrogant.
[I’m just stating a fact.]
"So please keep yourself safe, Wonhee-ya," Yejun pleaded to her. "The moment you get hurt is the moment Korea will freeze to death, alright?"
Wonhee gulped hard before she nodded eagerly. "I’ll keep myself safe for the sake of our country!"
Haaah.
He was in a bad mood, but seeing Wonhee’s bright face made him feel better.
Yejun smiled lazily and gently patted Wonhee’s head. "Good girl."
[I can never be upset with Wonhee, it seems.]
