My Mysterious Hidden Husband

CHAPTER 249: CHAPTER 249: LESSON
Watching the woman turn and walk away, Shannon Quinn felt secretly pleased but also worried if she had caused trouble. She turned to Landon Sutton and asked, "Did I go too far?"
Landon Sutton smiled indulgently and ruffled her hair, "It’s fine, don’t worry about being bullied. See what you want to eat?"
Looking at the various snacks in the glass case, Shannon Quinn was so tempted that she immediately forgot about what just happened.
As she picked her snacks and Landon Sutton was about to pay, a man’s voice sounded from behind, "Vivi, is it her?"
Shannon Quinn turned her head and saw the woman she had upset earlier, now accompanied by several men and women, surrounding them.
Shannon Quinn was not used to such scenes, and her heart instantly panicked. She bit into a bun but didn’t have time to chew, instinctively leaning closer to Landon Sutton.
Landon Sutton glanced over indifferently, then continued to ask the shop owner how much, calmly scanning to pay, seemingly ignoring these people.
Shannon Quinn tugged at his sleeve and said, "What do we do? Why did she call so many people? Should we call the police?"
Landon Sutton chuckled, handing the small bag in his hand to Shannon Quinn, gently saying, "You go upstairs first, I’ll handle this."
Although Shannon Quinn was very scared, she didn’t feel at ease leaving Landon Sutton alone.
The group heard Landon Sutton’s words to Shannon Quinn. Before Shannon Quinn could move, a crew-cut man blocked the way, "No one is leaving!"
"Vivi, tell us, how do you want to deal with them?"
The woman called Vivi, arms crossed, stepped forward triumphantly and smiled at Shannon Quinn, "What? Didn’t you have quite the sharp tongue earlier? Scared now?"
A man with a dragon tattoo on his arm laughed slyly, "Vivi, didn’t you fancy this man? How about we tie him up for you? This little girl seems quite tasty, let’s keep her for us guys... Ah!"
Before the man could finish his words, Shannon Quinn saw something fly past her eyes, hitting the man’s head precisely and fiercely. The man cursed in pain, clutching his head.
The thrown glass cup still contained some leftover drink, splashing all over the man, as the wine glass hit the ground and shattered.
"I think you’ve had enough of life!" The dragon-tattooed man, covering the spot he was hit, pointed at Landon Sutton and said viciously.
Shannon Quinn hated herself for not bringing her phone downstairs, making it difficult to secretly call the police now.
She also silently wondered if Landon Sutton was too impulsive. A wise man knows when to retreat, and clearly, they were outnumbered this time.
However, Landon Sutton’s next words shocked Shannon Quinn even more, "One on one or all together?"
The provocative words completely enraged those few hoodlums, and the tattooed man fumed, "All of you, go! Teach this kid a lesson! I’ll take responsibility if anything happens!"
Shannon Quinn watched as they picked up the restaurant chairs and aggressively approached, anxious and unsure of what to do.
Landon Sutton took off his suit, which slightly constrained his movements, directly threw it to Shannon Quinn, and then opened the glass door of the shopkeeper’s partition behind him, pushing Shannon Quinn inside, "Stay quietly inside."
"Landon Sutton!" She saw through the glass that a man was about to swing a chair down on Landon Sutton. She exclaimed, not yet pushing open the door, witnessing Landon Sutton spin around with a powerful kick, knocking the chair aside.
The force was so great that the man holding the chair fell to the ground with the momentum.
A few other men joined the fray; one swung a fist at Landon Sutton’s face, but Landon Sutton deftly bent over, dodging it, and countered with an attack to the man’s abdomen, causing him to fall back in pain, unable to get up for a while.
The punch missed Landon Sutton but hit the glass behind him, shattering it onto the ground.
Shannon Quinn was concerned about Landon Sutton’s safety. As she was about to get out, the shop workers inside held her back and said, "Miss, don’t go out, you might get hurt. I’ve already called the police."
Meanwhile, she saw Landon Sutton grab a man’s wrist, causing the stick in his hand to fall to the ground, and the wrist pain twisted the man’s expression.
The tattooed man, who Landon Sutton had hit with the glass cup earlier, pulled out a small knife from somewhere, sneaking up on Landon Sutton from behind.
"Look out behind you!" Shannon Quinn hurriedly shouted.
Landon Sutton turned his head, dodging to the right to avoid the tattooed man’s attack.
Shannon Quinn’s face turned pale at the sight. Had he not dodged in time, the knife would have stabbed viciously into Landon Sutton.
He was unarmed; sticks were easier to deal with, but a knife could cause injury with a slight misstep.
The tattooed man had clearly lost his cool, brandishing the knife at Landon Sutton. Landon Sutton swiftly dodged several times, the man’s knife embedding into a wooden column supporting the hall, unable to pull it out momentarily.
Landon Sutton chuckled, glancing at the knife in the man’s hand, and raised an eyebrow, "This combat knife is outdated, and you’re not using it properly."
Infuriated by the taunt, the man forcefully yanked the knife out, stabbing towards Landon Sutton’s chest.
Landon Sutton seemed to have anticipated his moves, dodging skillfully, not even retaliating, while the man was already panting heavily.
When the man swung down with the knife again, Landon Sutton grabbed his arm, performing a fluent over-the-shoulder throw, creating a perfect arc, throwing the man in front of his buddies. Each one was afraid of being hit and dodged away.
Witnessing Landon Sutton’s prowess, the remaining men exchanged glances, none daring to approach and seek trouble.
Vivi was furious beyond measure, shifting her gaze to Shannon Quinn behind the glass door, instructing two men beside her, "Go drag that girl out for me!"
Shannon Quinn breathed a sigh seeing Landon Sutton subdue the knife-wielding man but immediately saw those two approaching her.
She stepped back, spotting a broom in the corner, picking it up and wildly swinging it at the doorway, landing two solid hits on the men.
Shannon Quinn shut her eyes, too frightened to look, until someone took the broom away from her, causing her to open her eyes, apprehensively retreating two steps.
Inside, a male and female staff member stepped forward, shielding the two women and stuttered in fear, "I... I advise you not to act recklessly. We’ve already called the police; they’ll be here soon!"
Landon Sutton wanted to protect Shannon Quinn but was entangled by the other men. Just as the two men were forcibly dragging Shannon Quinn outside, the sound of police sirens echoed nearby...
