"Does this mean good news is coming?"

Shannon Quinn smiled bashfully and replied, "It depends on what he thinks."

Sylvie Pierce chuckled and said, "Then I’ll congratulate you in advance. Don’t forget to invite me to your wedding banquet."

"Definitely."

"Don’t just stand at the door, come inside and have a seat. I still need to attend to guests, so I can’t accompany you."

Shannon Quinn nodded and walked inside with Landon Sutton.

After Shannon Quinn walked past Sylvie Pierce, the smile on Sylvie’s face disappeared, and her eyes were filled with dese.

She hadn’t expected things to develop so quickly between them. If tonight’s plan fails, there might be no chance in the future.

Landon Sutton politely greeted the elders of the Pierce Family, and when they asked about Shannon Quinn, he confidently introduced her as his fiancée.

The Pierce Family was a bit surprised that Landon Sutton suddenly had a fiancée, but no one mentioned the previous intention to match Sylvie Pierce with him.

Initially, Shannon Quinn was in a pretty good mood, but then she learned from Grandpa Pierce that Shane Royale would also be attending tonight.

Shannon Quinn pressed her lips together; she planned to follow suit and greet, but Shane Royale’s stern gaze scared her out of speaking up.

Shane Royale also ignored her, but turned around and smiled kindly at Old Mr. Pierce, saying, "Come on, let’s sit over there."

Instead, Old Mr. Pierce brought up Shannon Quinn, saying, "By the way, I just heard from Vincent that this young lady is Vincent’s fiancée? When did this happen? I never heard about it."

Old Mr. Pierce also wanted to inquire on behalf of his granddaughter. If it were true, he could start looking for another match for Sylvie.

Shane Royale glanced at Shannon Quinn and compared her to Sylvie Pierce. Naturally, the old man would prefer Sylvie Pierce to be the woman standing next to Landon Sutton, but he also knew how infatuated his grandson was with Shannon Quinn, especially after he secretly asked Simon to show him a photo of his great-grandson. At his age, there were some things he didn’t want to fight over anymore.

Even though he didn’t show much approval for Shannon Quinn, he only said to Old Mr. Pierce, "Let the young people decide for themselves."

Landon Sutton immediately replied, "Thank you, grandpa."

He then subtly signaled Shannon Quinn, who swallowed hard and softly followed with, "Thank you, grandpa..."

"Hmph." Shane Royale huffed lightly, took a step forward, and chatted with Old Mr. Pierce, "Didn’t you say your grandson brought you a good bottle of wine? Let me try it."

Simon Rhodes walked over, smiled apologetically at Shannon Quinn, and said, "Shannon, I’m really happy that you’re back. Also, I should apologize for last time."

Shannon Quinn realized what Simon Rhodes was referring to and replied, "I don’t need to guess; it must have been Vincent who instructed you."

Simon Rhodes chuckled, "Seems like you don’t have a particularly high regard for Vincent in your heart, huh?"

"Brother, can’t you say something nice?"

"Alright, Shannon knows what you’re like. You guys chat; I’m going to accompany grandpa."

After Simon Rhodes left, Shannon Quinn suddenly asked, "By the way, did Mr. Rhodes get married?"

"Why? Are you thinking of something?"

"I’m thinking of introducing him to someone."

Landon Sutton chuckled and said, "A few years ago, grandpa introduced him to a dating prospect. They’ve kept in touch, but they haven’t gotten engaged. I don’t really know what’s going on now. You should focus on your own matters instead of meddling in others’ business."

"I have a friend who runs a wedding planning company. She’s around my age and really pretty. She was about to get married when something happened, leading to a breakup. She’s been single since. I think I could introduce them to each other."

"Enough with those trivial thoughts, sort out your own affairs before poking around in others’. Just pay more attention to me."

"Hey? Second Brother? You’re here too?" A man’s voice greeted them from behind, causing both to turn and look.

The man was dressed in a light-colored suit, looking handsome, but he didn’t give an impression of being particularly stable.

Shannon Quinn didn’t know who the man was, but she recognized the woman by his side.

June Yardley also recognized Shannon Quinn. She curved her red lips into a smile and said, "Didn’t expect to see you again. You’ve spun around and come back?"

Landon Sutton smiled and said to the man, "Long time no see."

"Yes, it’s been a while. Second Brother hasn’t changed, is this our sister-in-law?"

Landon Sutton hummed in affirmation, seemingly not wanting to engage too much with the man.

The man assessed Shannon Quinn up and down, his gaze made her a bit uncomfortable, and he commented, "Quite pretty, but looks a bit young. Standing with Second Brother, some might say he’s the old ox eating tender grass."

Landon Sutton laughed instead of getting angry and glanced at June Yardley, who appeared more mature, standing beside the man. He said, "Better to have tender grass than to starve."

The man maintained his smile, letting his eyes linger longer on Shannon Quinn, his smile slightly frivolous. Yet, he stopped bantering with Landon Sutton and nodded, "Excuse me, Second Brother."

"Who is that?" Shannon Quinn asked.

Addressing Landon Sutton as Second Brother, yet Shannon Quinn seemed not to have met this man during her time with the Rhodes Family.

Landon Sutton simply said a name: "Seth Fairchild."

Shannon Quinn was stunned. She had a deep impression of the surname "Fairchild." A few years ago, when the Yardley Family fell, she also heard that June Yardley was with Seth Fairchild, but this was her first time meeting him in person.

He didn’t seem like a good character.
