My Perfect Revenge: Flash Marriage With My Vampire Tycoon
Chapter 105: – Her Husband –
CHAPTER 105: – HER HUSBAND –
Viviana’s eyes drifted to the table far from the window. Sasha was seated, shoulders slumped and head lowered as if trying to avoid being recognized.
Taking a deep breath, Viviana approached and took a seat opposite her. "Sasha?"
Sasha quickly lifted her brown eyes, meeting her gaze. A look of relief flashed on her face.
"Are you alright?" Viviana asked.
"Yeah. It’s just..." Sasha swallowed. "I haven’t gone to work since what happened last time, and I always feel like someone is watching me. What if Fernando is after me?"
"Does he know you have this evidence?"
"No." She shook her head. "I don’t think so. I hid it well."
"Then there’s nothing to be scared of," Viviana said to her. She steepled her fingers, asking, "Do you feel safe at our place?"
"Not really."
"Does Fernando know where you live?"
Sasha fidgeted with her fingers. "It honestly would be really weird if he didn’t. He pestered me a lot and wouldn’t take a no for an answer. I’m not the first person he’d ever done that to. Others said that one of the girls he was like this with eventually quit and had to move out of the country. That’s why I’m so paranoid. I don’t know what to do and I feel miserable. This is also why I’m doing this with you. I’m afraid."
Viviana nodded.
"I see." She asked, "If I introduce you to a friend of mine, would you be able to live with them?"
"A...friend?"
Viviana gave a nod. "She’s my best friend and I’m sure she’ll take care of you until all this is over. You do not have to worry about your necessities. You’ve lost your job because of me, I’ll see to it you’re taken care of. So, what do you say? Are you comfortable enough for that?"
Sasha gazed at her. She hesitated, but nodded, agreeing. "I don’t really have a choice anyway."
Viviana gave a soft smile. "The evidence?"
"Oh, yeah." Sasha quickly ruffled into her bag. She fished out a USB and handed it over to her. "I went over and had it transferred into this USB. I was afraid I might easily lose the memory card."
Viviana scrutinised the device for a few moments. She said, "I’ll have to take a look at it when I get home. As for the rest, you have nothing to worry about. I’ll make sure you’re safe and all you have to do is sit and watch. Is that enough to compensate half for the risk you’ve taken on my behalf?"
Sasha quickly nodded, cupping her hands with a relieved smile. "You’re also helping me, so I’m more than happy." She stood to her feet, bowing deeply in gratitude. "Thank you, Ms Di-grassi."
Viviana shook her head. "We’re both benefiting from this. There is nothing to thank me for." Then she rose to her feet, saying, "Meet me again tomorrow at Maison De Vesta, I’ll have you meet my friend."
"Maison...de Vesta? The penthouse?"
"Yes."
Sasha agreed. "Alright then, I’ll be there."
Viviana took out a card and gave it to her. "Take this. WIth it, the security won’t stop you. It’s the ninety-ninth floor."
Sasha rapidly blinked in shock. She wasn’t oblivious to how expensive every apartment in that penthouse was. And to own one on the ninety-ninth floor.
She sighed softly.
’Must be nice to be wealthy’
Viviana watched her go, and as she was about to leave as well, her phone suddenly rang. She glanced at the screen, seeing her father’s name. She hadn’t spoken to this man in a long while and she knew without a doubt he had yet to sign that divorce papers.
’Well, two can play this game’ She thought as she answered.
"Hello?"
[Come to the company, right now]
"I told you I don’t work for you anymore, Pa."
[Cut that crap and get yourself to this company. Your resignation letter wasn’t approved, so quit your tantrums and remember very well you signed a contract with this company. Thirty years of loyalty to this company, and you’ve only done it for how long? Ah, you began at age eighteen, so let’s see. Eight years, nothing more. Don’t make this difficult, because I don’t think you’d like me to sue you. You might be wealthy, sweetheart, you worked very hard for it, but stop defying me, you’ve done enough of it and there’s a limit to how much I can tolerate. Thirty minutes, I want you at this company]
The call ended before she could even get a word in.
She shook where she stood.
Thirty years of loyalty... He’d made her sign this bull crap when she was just eighteen, a kid who was scared of her own father. Of course she could still force it and allow him to sue her.
But this was her father. Amadeo Di-grassi. He was above her and if he sued her, it was over for her. She’d be able to do nothing and she would lose all she had.
Her fingers tightened around the straps of her bag and with her neck red in anger, she stormed out of the shop towards her car. She yanked the door open, got in and drove off to head to Vizera Luxe.
It was almost as if he knew in the future, she might try to break away from him. And so he trapped her down with the damn contract.
Sabrina took sips of her coffee as she walked down the road. She stopped momentarily, turning her head to stare at Bratva. She was standing right outside where she first accidentally found out Viviana’s husband was Nikolas Bastiani.
That truth was still unbelievable, but now things were more than a mess. A sigh fled from her and she was about to leave, but then she sighted Nikolas who’d just walked out from the building to head towards the parking lot.
She watched him quietly, and just when she thought he would get into his car, the man snapped his head over, their eyes locking. Her pupils shrunk to pin size. She spun on her feet, about to hurry off, but the rapid sound of footsteps was all she heard.
