My SSS-Rank Clone Talent: I Level Up Endlessly!
Chapter 250: Not a Fool!?
CHAPTER 250: NOT A FOOL!?
Zarek gazed at the simple sword standing atop the hill, a sneer on his face.
He floated through the air and quickly reached the spot. Though still shackled in chains, he didn’t seem to care at this moment.
His blue pupils stared intently at the sword for a moment, growing thoughtful.
"Hmm, what should I do with this?"
Fortunately, there was an idiot named Alice who had already given him all the information he needed about the Excalibur, so he didn’t have to go through the whole fuck around to find out phase.
With all the necessary knowledge in hand, the hassle was pretty much taken care of.
His body tilted downward as he gazed with cold blue pupils.
A small crack erupted where his gaze landed, gradually spreading into a web of fractures that soon covered the entire hill.
"Come out." Zarek wanted to shout, but the chains restrained his voice, preventing him from speaking further.
Still, his intent was clear. The ground began to split open with jagged fissures wherever he looked.
The "Excalibur", which had been embedded in the ground, fell into the abyss.
Truly, even if one couldn’t lift the sword, they could still force it down by destroying the ground beneath it.
As the "Excalibur" freely descended into the earth, a startled sound rang out, and a bright golden light burst forth from the jagged ruptures.
Zarek had to squint just to perceive the golden light, it was that difficult to see.
But he quickly "adapted", and his eyes settled on a figure formed from golden glitter in the shape of a woman. She appeared to be made entirely of energy.
His eyes widened in shock.
’S-She’s made entirely out of Divine Energy.’
Before he could even process the thought, the woman pointed a finger directly at him. The wind rustled violently, and a terrifying boom echoed through the air. Zarek instantly felt a pressure unlike anything he had ever experienced.
His heart thudded loudly, before the blow even landed.
His mind screamed, his instinct roared for him to move, to dodge. And he did. His thoughts raced, his body followed, reacting in perfect sync. But his Telekinesis, it was a heartbeat too late.
Zarek was engulfed.
"AHHH—!"
Agony erupted through him. His skin blistered and peeled. His heartbeat skipped. His organs, liver, kidneys, even his extended part, seized all at once, as if time had frozen inside his body.
Below him, the woman hovered in midair, her form made entirely of glittering gold.
With a scoff, she floated upward, graceful and fluid, like a fish swimming through the ocean. She drifted toward the writhing Zarek and spoke with disdain:
"I already rejected you. What are you doing here?"
Zarek’s screams grew louder, almost like it was his last death throes.
He looked like he wouldn’t survive another breath.
However, at the same time, the chains binding his body began to crack.
Then, in an instant, they all shattered, bursting apart as Zarek’s condition deteriorated even further.
He looked as if he were moments away from death. But...
"You’re strange," the woman composed entirely of divine energy murmured. "You cry out in pain, you look like you’re dying, yet your body, it’s adapting to my attack rather than succumbing to it."
Suddenly, Zarek’s cries stopped. Even though his body was riddled with injuries that would make anyone take a sharp breath just from looking at them, there was an eerie calmness on his face, as if his death throes had been nothing but an act. A lie.
"You seem to be quite observant, woman."
"Of course, I’m quite observant," she chuckled with a mysterious smile. "I’d especially observe someone who has the strength to lift an entire city using sheer muscle alone."
"I see," Zarek nodded his bloodied head. "So the Excalibur you stopped me from lifting truly bore the weight of a city."
A few breaths passed, and his injuries were already beginning to vanish. Only a few wounds remained, faintly oozing divine energy, while the rest of his body had already returned to normal function.
The woman watched the scene with an unflinching expression. Once Zarek had fully recovered, she spoke again in a calm tone:
"It seems Mirabella was right, you are interesting. And I must say, you’re definitely quite fascinating."
"..." Zarek stared at her with an expressionless face. Countless thoughts flickered through his mind, and at the same time, a blue panel appeared in the corner of his vision. But he ignored it for now, because right now...
He felt like his life could end at any moment. Cold sweat trickled down his back, soaking him almost entirely.
Telekinesis erupted from his body, and the gravity around him surged. In an instant, it doubled, then tripled, then quadrupled. It kept rising, higher and higher.
Staring at the woman before him with his cold blue pupils, Zarek remained calm, cold and composed, even in the face of a force that could completely overwhelm him.
The woman slowly raised her hand. The crushing gravity didn’t seem to affect her in the slightest. She pointed her finger at him and spoke in a voice barely above a whisper:
"Die."
A concentrated burst of divine energy shot through the air.
This time, Zarek was prepared and he wasn’t bound by chains either. He summoned the aura from deep within his core, and in an instant, his body swelled to new heights, growing to a towering seven feet.
Then the divine energy struck, right in his chest. It pierced through without resistance and shot straight through the ceiling.
Zarek crouched, violently coughing up blood. His breathing was ragged as he looked at her in disbelief, then his eyes turned lifelessly and collapsed to the ground, falling to the ragged rupture below.
"You are truly fascinating," the woman said in a mocking tone. "I just destroyed your heart, yet you’re still alive. You really can adapt to anything." She pointed to her palm, and another beam of concentrated divine energy tore through the air, attacking the free falling Zarek.
