CHAPTER 304: FLIRTING!?

"Damn it! How the hell did that bastard enter my gate? And that Eve, why did she suggest such a thing? Did she change sides so soon?"

An angry voice shouted as violent red light spewed out, distorting reality with its sheer heat. The space around was a dome filled with endless flames.

"This outsider dares to seize the power of my world. How could I ever allow that?"

"Just you wait, Eve and Grey."

"I’ll see for myself how you intend to complete this trial for that old man." The voice mocked with a sneering tone.

...

Grey stepped through the gate, and his vision was immediately swallowed by darkness, so thick that even light itself seemed to be devoured.

"Hmm?" He glanced around warily. "Where the hell am I?"

He quickly realized his connection to the Grimoire had been severed in this place, leaving him with a faint sense of helplessness.

But just then, a bright purple light flared in his chest. Grey’s eyes widened in shock, that is where the World Fragment was kept.

From within the world fragment, Eve emerged, her lips curling into a gleeful smile. "Well, well, looks like someone is not pleased with you taking this trial, Grey."

"Is that so?" Grey regained his calm, now his connection to his Grimoire was established again through the help of Eve, and he could summon Lilith, Kurogane, and the others again if he wanted to.

"Yes, but I helped you negate some of its power," she whispered in his ear. "So where is my reward?"

Grey looked at her and took her by the waist, causing an instinctive yelp to escape from Eve. "Look at me."

Eve’s eyes lifted and immediately met Grey’s blue. Those boundless blue pupils made her fall into almost a trance; her mind stopped thinking for a moment, and her cheeks instinctively blushed.

"Do you know that you are beautiful?" he spoke softly.

"Eh?" Eve’s heart raced, and her cheeks fully flushed, turning red.

"You are the most beautiful woman in the world," Grey whispered directly in her ear.

"You... you are lying..." She avoided his gaze, but her cheeks felt hotter than the sun.

"Really, you are just beautiful," Grey uttered with utmost devotion and a serious expression.

"Hmph, don’t say that to me like that." Eve shouted, but her hands hugged Grey, and she closed her eyes, almost purring.

"Hahaha." Grey chuckled while muttering in his mind, This is your reward. Then, while they were flirting, a swirl of black mass suddenly materialised, transforming into a weird monster with the golden-like body but instead made of swirling black mass.

The monster growled with a ferocious expression.

"Oh, what’s this?" Grey turned towards the monster and completely ignored it, embracing Eve and just enjoying the moment.

The monster also didn’t seem to move for a while, just standing there in a daze.

Then the void distorted again, and multiple monsters materialised in the place. By the end, there were so many that they formed a sea of them, leaving only a few meters of space for Grey and Eve.

Eve, who was blushing furiously, immediately noticed it and hurriedly spoke to Grey, "Grey, you should focus on them first. They are monsters born from the resentment of the Grimoires. The weakest have at least enough power that they need the attack of the Platinum Grimoire to die, and there are so many of them."

"No, I want to focus on the most beautiful woman in this world. Even if I die, it would be a worthy death," Grey spoke without hesitation.

"You, it’s not the time to joke right now. They really have the potential to kill us if this goes on," she hurriedly said.

Grey looked at her and shook his head. "You don’t have to worry about such a thing. We will die together."

"What kind of logic is that?" Eve was already panicking. The monsters were slowly moving, and the very ground shook from the sheer force.

"My kind of logic." He chuckled. Lilith appeared in front of him, and he raised his red quill pen to write on it in an instant.

Swish!

A terrifying gust of storm violently swept in, and a silver-scaled dragon appeared behind Grey.

The dragon’s slitted pupils looked around, and it scoffed with a mocking tone, "They are weak."

Drayken could have used lightning to obliterate them all, but the backlash for Grey would not be optimal, so he returned to his human form.

"What’s he doing?" Eve asked.

"Shush." Grey touched her lips and looked straight at her. Eve almost melted on the spot and completely went into a trance again.

Meanwhile, aura seeped out of Drayken’s body and condensed into a katana in his hand. He poised with the katana, ready to slash at all of the undead that surrounded him.

"Ah, it’s good to fight again." Lightning erupted, flaring around his aura katana. He was ready to absolutely slaughter them if he wanted to.

Then he casually slashed ahead, forming an arc that obliterated everything in its path. The monsters were easily sliced apart, and they fell to the ground one by one, clearing a way for them.

Drayken casually slashed at the other three directions as well, clearing the entire wave of monsters with ease.

"It’s good to feel so overpowered," he muttered.

The Demi-gods were like a wave of oppression for Drayken, and he obviously didn’t feel good about it.

Even for Zarek, who was the strongest clone right now, he was still not capable enough to fight them. And now, easily beating these monsters, who were already at the top of the world, it was obvious that it satisfied his pride.

All of a sudden, all the broken monsters started to merge into one whole being, and then it formed a giant monster.

"This monster, it can only be defeated by a Mythical Grimoire now!" Eve shouted out loud.

"I see," Drayken muttered and wearily shook his head. He transformed into his dragon form again, and black aura lightning gathered in his jaws.

Cough!

Grey coughed a mouthful of blood. Countless internal injuries wracked his body, making him nauseous, the backlash was already hitting.
