My SSS-Rank Clone Talent: I Level Up Endlessly!
Chapter 305: Simple Solution!
CHAPTER 305: SIMPLE SOLUTION!
Luckily, the fox Grimoire appeared before him once again, and he quickly wrote on it.
Blue flames erupted from the book, engulfing him completely and rapidly healing all his wounds.
"Ho." Grey drew a deep breath. Even just advancing from the Bronze rank had allowed this fox Grimoire to amplify her abilities immensely, and this was a perfect example.
He then turned to Lilith’s Grimoire and scribbled on it as well. Instantly, even his soul felt restored, healed in an instant.
Finally, he allowed himself a brief moment of respite. At that moment, Drayken opened his dragon jaws and unleashed a streak of black lightning at the massive, swirling black form in the shape of a golem.
The attack was so swift that only a flash could be seen before the monstrous entity was obliterated into countless pieces.
Then the world seemed to pause for a moment, before all hell broke loose. The space around them began collapsing in jagged, fragmented bursts, like shards of shattered mirrors.
Grey felt it deep in his bones, as if the world itself was breaking apart around him. Everything was on the verge of collapse, him included.
Eve clutched him tightly, tears streaming down her face. "What’s happening to you, Grey? Hey, wake up!" she cried.
But Grey remained almost completely unresponsive, his eyes staring blankly ahead, which only made her panic grow.
Drayken swooped down without hesitation, scooping them both up in his massive claws before placing them carefully on his back. "Hold tight," he commanded, and then he shot forward, flying at breakneck speed.
There was no way out though, the world was breaking apart but there was no entrance from where they could come out at all and they couldn’t just go through the fracture space because of the dangers.
"Damn it, what should I do?" Drayken gritted his dragon teeth, feeling a wave of helplessness.
At that moment, Grey slowly opened his eyes and glanced at Eve. "What’s wrong?" he asked.
Eve stared at him in complete disbelief. Wasn’t he on the verge of death? He was still injured, yet his condition had improved significantly.
No matter how severe Grey’s wounds, as long as he didn’t die, his regeneration kicked in immediately. It wasn’t as powerful as Drayken’s or the others’, but even normal regeneration skill was enough for him to recover quickly.
Eve took a steadying breath and said, "There’s no exit and nothing seems to be happening. It looks like this trial was a trap."
"I see." Grey nodded his head calmly, raised his hand to rub Eve’s eyes, and spoke gently, "Do you trust me?"
Her face heated up, and in an instant she seemed to forget all her worries and gently beat his chest. "Stop teasing me, you bastard," she leaned on his chest and spoke coquettishly, "If I didn’t trust you, would I have switched sides and helped you?"
"Good." Grey nodded firmly, then stood on the scales of Drayken’s silver scale and looked ahead.
His blue pupils flickered.
Honestly, he had no clue how to get out of this place, but even if he could, he wouldn’t get out of this place, would he get out without getting another world fragment?
Grey only sneered. Whether by hook or crook, he would make the world cough out another World Fragment and also complete the trial so that the old man’s Grimoire could reach the Mythical Rank.
But how to do this?
His pupils flashed as he looked back at Eve. She was the World Fragment, and maybe the answer lay in her. He could also account for this fact in his skill, World-level Tamer.
Both of these may very well be the answer; it only felt logical. The question was: how do you use it to face the ordeal they were in right now?
Grey thought for some time, blankly staring ahead. His pupils immediately observed a strange phenomenon.
The world was breaking around them, that was for sure; however, it was conveniently avoiding the areas around him and Drayken.
"Is it because of the title?" he thought then Drayken landed on the ground. His huge dragon body caused the ground to rumble.
Grey walked up to Eve.
"What are you going to do, Grey?" Eve asked, confused.
"Carry you," Grey chuckled, scooping her into his arms and stepping out of Drayken’s back.
Eve looked around, bewildered; her pupils froze for a moment.
"Did you notice?" Grey asked with a mysterious smile on his face.
Suddenly, the light in the area completely faded.
"What?" Eve exclaimed, startled.
Drayken’s massive body loomed over them, forming a protective dome. The space around them stopped shattering and began to mend itself, slowly returning to normal.
"Come sit." Grey slumped to the ground and crossed his legs. Eve did the same.
"We might be here for a while, so just relax."
"This is genius, Grey," Eve muttered. "For trials like this, the world loses its power the longer time is spent in it. So we can just sit this one out. And if we get kicked out, well, that’s the rule for the Grimoire to ascend."
"Eh, I see," Grey commented.
"You didn’t know?" she asked, eyeing him with incredulity.
"Nope," he shook his head, nudging her nose gently, "Not everything is complicated."
"This..."
"This is what we can do for now."
"You chose the best solution," Eve said, giving him a thumbs up.
"Thanks."
The two sat in silence, staring ahead with expressionless faces.
In the darkness, they found comfort in each other, cuddling closely.
Outside, the space had completely collapsed, becoming utterly uninhabitable. Luckily, the area around them remained intact, shielding them from the chaos.

"Damn it! What the hell is going on?"
"What is that creature? The book says the world hasn’t even created such a being, how could it even exist?"
The voice trembled with unbridled rage.
"If this continues, the already depleting energy will be exhausted. I have to do something... think, think!"
After a long pause, the voice let out a choked, helpless and defeated sigh.
