My SSS-Rank Dungeon: Reborn In A Reverse World
Chapter 47: Clearwill Potion
CHAPTER 47: CLEARWILL POTION
Natasha and the other two girls had given their full attention to suppressing the corruption inside them, but that was only possible because they were protected from external factors.
As for the others, they had to make sure they were safe from the monsters while also fending off the corruption inside them.
It didn’t come as a surprise to Leon that his team woke up quickly, since their conditions were better than the rest.
Perhaps Denver was the one who had it the worst.
"I was here to discuss something with you," Amber said. "First of all, you all are getting a vacation for a week. Do whatever you want that helps you calm your mind a little."
Leon nodded, as he was already expecting this. The Academy took care of its students very well, so they would definitely do their best to help them after such an event.
In times like this, it was better for students to return to their comfort zones and safe spaces, where they could relax their minds. Talking to close loved ones, visiting specific locations, or indulging in activities they enjoyed could help them a lot.
So the Academy gave them this vacation where they could do whatever they wanted. It was far better than forcing them to visit therapists.
Leon thought about it for a second and then said, "We can use this to get the patent and..."
"Absolutely not!" Amber rejected immediately. "You can’t run away from your problems like this, Leon. You have to face them, otherwise they will begin to gather near your feet and slowly become so heavy that you won’t even be able to walk."
Leon pursed his lips and looked down. He truly was looking for something to work on so that he didn’t have to think about it. If he kept himself busy, he surely wouldn’t have the time to dwell on nonsensical thoughts.
Still, he wasn’t going to give up on this topic so easily because he knew how important it was for the world. Besides, he also knew how to emotionally corner her.
"But Amber, you’ve seen the effects of that potion and how much everyone needs it. What if something similar happens to someone else in the next few days? You’re the one who told me how often Awakened encounter these situations."
"You think I’ll trade you off for others?" Amber scoffed. "Even though I do care about everyone, I still stand by the principle that I will save the people who are close to me first before anyone else. So I’m not doing that."
"Who is telling you to do all of that?" Leon rolled his eyes and said. "I’m sure you also got a vacation, so why don’t you come with me? I was thinking of visiting my mom. She’s the cure for everything for me, so I’ll be fine."
"And you want to use that time to work on the potion too?" Amber asked.
Leon nodded.
"That’s doable since I’ll be doing most of the work," Amber said thoughtfully. "You’re from Vale, right? I can call up some of my acquaintances in the Patent Office there. You’ll just need to give me a document of that potion along with the name."
Patent work would normally have been done online, but the matter this time was different, so they needed to handle it the old way. Everything would be tested in a professional’s presence before they gave approval for the patent, along with approval for manufacturing it.
"Have you thought about the potion’s name?" she asked.
"Not really. We could go with something simple like C-Suppressant?" Leon rubbed his chin and wondered about the name.
"Does that even exist in any dictionary?" Amber shook her head. "If you want simple, just go with Mindshield or something."
"No, I’ve got something better," Leon smiled and said. "It’s Clearwill Potion."
"Hmm. That’s a good name. Alright, you can just give me a list of ingredients. I’ll buy and store them in the laboratory we’ll use for experiments."
"It’s not that complicated. I literally made it in my dorms."
"Shhh! Just do what I say. We need to show the world that we worked really hard to find this." Amber put her fingers to her lips and smiled.
"Well, I did work hard, so I guess it’s fine." Leon sighed. "But remember that this is also your vacation, so you also need to chill out."
Amber stood up, strolled to his side, and began messing with his hair. "Don’t nag me like my master. I’m an adult, unlike you."
She then remembered something and took out a chocolate bar from her pocket. "Alice wanted to visit you, but the security wouldn’t let anyone in, so I decided to deliver it. Take it!"
Leon had a complicated look on his face as he stared at the chocolate bar. Still, he took it because he loved chocolate too much.
Why would he waste it just because it came from a girl he had rejected many times already?
"You sure are popular. Seniors, juniors, and even some of the staff wanted to visit you," Amber chuckled. "They also sent ’Get Well Soon’ gifts, but most of them are stored in a different room."
"I’ll check them later," Leon nodded as he began to munch on the chocolate bar.
"You don’t have to."
"They sent them with such sincere feelings and were also worried about me. The least I can do is check them."
"Most of them just want to suck up to you or just want to marry you, though. They have ulterior motives."
Leon paused and smiled. "Amber, doesn’t that mean they wish for my good well-being?"
"Well, in their twisted ways, but you’re right." Amber nodded thoughtfully. "You’re really looking at this positively."
"My mom told me there are too many negative and cursed things in the world, so we should always look for positivity in everything and find happiness in even small things." Leon smiled proudly as he said that.
He was always proud of his mom. Even if she said something dumb, he would be on her side with pride.
"And you were doing quite the opposite lately, eh?" Amber smirked.
"Amber."
"Yes?"
"Did someone tell you that you have a nasty mouth?"
"Heard it many times already."
"Then please control it. Your words hurt."
"Never!" Amber shrugged. "But I’m really curious about your mother now. I want to meet her."
"I’ll introduce you when we reach Vale. Just keep your mouth shut, please. My mom has a very soft and kind heart. I don’t want you to hurt her," Leon reminded her.
"I highly doubt a weak woman can raise you up. I refuse to believe that."
"I never said she’s weak. She’s crazy strong. It’s just that she’s too kind for her own good." Leon sighed. "You’ll understand when you meet her."
"Alright then. We’ll leave for Vale tomorrow morning," Amber said before turning towards the door. "I’ll get your stuff ready."
Leon nodded and watched the door close again after she left. He was all alone in the room again with night approaching.
He had his dinner, which was delivered by the Doodle Nurse, and then he waited for a few hours.
Before long, he drifted into a deep sleep and woke up in the familiar meadows of Salar.
The dungeon really didn’t care about his health one bit. It dragged him back there.
