My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!
Chapter 130: Where Did You Go?
CHAPTER 130: CHAPTER 130: WHERE DID YOU GO?
Hans Montrose, to avoid attracting attention, drove an ordinary car and shared his location with her.
Melody Thorne walked over and got into the car, tossing the flowers he had given her onto the back seat. She leaned forward over the front seat and took off Hans Montrose’s sunglasses, "Turn around quickly, let me see. Did you have any plastic surgery or something?"
Hans Montrose "..."
He turned his head, his charming eyes teasingly sizing her up and down. Although he had been abroad for the past two years, he would still inquire about her news. Hearing she had changed, he couldn’t resist coming back to take a look. Indeed... she had gotten smarter.
"Take good care of your brain, don’t lose it."
"Assessment complete, no plastic surgery." Melody Thorne threw his sunglasses back to him, suppressing the excitement in her heart. "Quick, drive, I’m starving."
Hans Montrose’s mouth twitched slightly as he watched her lively face through the rearview mirror. Originally, he thought he’d come back to find her with a gloomy face and he could play the hero rescuing the damsel, helping her out of distress.
Now, it turns out she doesn’t need it at all~
"Is he treating you well?" Having been abroad for two years, Hans Montrose could finally talk about these things casually.
"No comment." Melody Thorne leaned against the back seat, arms crossed, "Will you leave again this time you came back?"
"Depends on the situation."
"Jared, the people inside said the report is finished, and most of the people have left. It seems Mrs. Quinn went out long ago."
The car compartment was filled with cold air. Jared Quinn unbuttoned two buttons on his shirt, his cold lips pressed into a straight line as he made a call. "Where are you?"
Melody Thorne looked up at Hans Montrose across from her, "I’m having dinner with a friend. If you have something to do, go ahead. I’ll come back later."
"Beep," the call disconnected.
"Melody Thorne!" Jared Quinn’s hand holding the phone bulged with veins, and the temperature in the car plummeted.
The driver up front shrank his head; recently Jared Quinn’s temper had visibly escalated compared to before, especially in the last two days. The whole company was busy working nonstop, almost to the point of collapse.
Melody Thorne put her phone away and continued eating. It was the first time Jared Quinn called her twice in one day. Did he take the wrong medicine?
It was almost evening when Melody Thorne finally returned to the villa, scrolling through her phone as she walked in. She had asked Jean Gage to post something two days earlier, and it had garnered many replies. Sheryl Lancaster’s reputation was affected, and fans of many young celebrities demanded an apology on her social media.
[If Sheryl Lancaster apologizes, don’t respond; better yet, insist she publicly apologizes with a press conference.] Melody Thorne sent a text to Kiki Sutton, figuring she would have to find a way for Kiki to terminate her contract with Radiant Entertainment.
After typing and sending the text, her phone was suddenly snatched from her hand.
Melody Thorne looked up to find Jared Quinn staring at her coldly. He wore deep brown silk pajamas, with his collar revealing a bronzed skin tone on his chest.
"What are you doing? Give it back."
"Where did you go?" His gaze penetrated her.
"I went out with friends," Melody Thorne said, staring at the phone. "Give it back; I still have things to do."
"Ding," Melody Thorne’s phone lit up, and Jared Quinn glanced over, seeing Hans Montrose’s name on it.
[Did you get home safely?]
