CHAPTER 136: CHAPTER 136: UNEASY

Melody Thorne paused, she had forgotten what the butler mentioned yesterday: Caleb would restore his identity as the Adler Family’s young master today.

If she wants to know what happened back then, working with Caleb is inevitable, so today she definitely has to go.

No matter how Melody struggled, it was useless, Jared restrained her arm like a wall of copper, firm and hard, warning her that he was her sky, no matter what, she couldn’t escape his grasp.

And Jared’s teasing gaze seemed to see her as a struggling ant in his palm, letting him play at will.

This gaze made Melody feel suffocated, as if trapped in a cage, her life still under his control while her anger surged, five fingers reaching the wounded spot on his chest intending to claw down.

"Young Mrs." the butler’s eye twitched, hastily speaking out, not intentionally eavesdropping, truly worried about the young master’s worsening wound "Time... time is almost up, it’s time to head to the Adler Family."

Jared looked down, her small hand wasn’t even the size of his chest muscles, his large hand grasping it with a sneer, "Not bad, knowing how to pick weak points."

Melody "!!!"

Jared stood up and took the clothes handed by the servant, dressed slowly, the abstinent tall figure exuding wicked allure, his captivating eyes filled with interest.

Melody couldn’t bear to see that condescending look anymore, got up and left.

Outside the hall, she walked around Jared’s car, then drove her own car away quickly, other than those in the know, no one knew about her marriage with Jared, hence they would never attend any place together.

After Melody left, two servants immediately went up to inspect if she had done anything, but found nothing.
