CHAPTER 55: CHAPTER 55: ESPECIALLY GENTLE

Melody Thorne lowered her head, glanced at her clothes, and a glimmer flashed in her black eyes. "Oh, I forgot, I’ll go back to change right now."

She turned to leave, but the man sitting on the soft chair was quicker. He stood up, grabbed the little fox by the collar with his big hand, and directly threw her into the swimming pool.

With a splash, Melody Thorne fell straight into the pool with her clothes on. The pool was too deep, and after several struggles, she still couldn’t get up, swallowing a few mouthfuls of water until a big hand pulled her out.

Melody Thorne clung to her life-saving straw with her hands and feet. Her small face was flushed red from choking, and in her heart, she had cursed the man who threw her down hundreds of times.

Indeed, this heartless Jared Quinn is just like Qin Shi Huang; never once has he been gentle with her, not in this life or the last!

A woman who had just entered the pool area of the Quinn Family’s back garden stood there, stunned, with a sinister gaze. She watched the couple in the pool, their bodies pressed tightly together. Melody Thorne’s legs were wrapped around Jared Quinn’s waist, her hands on his neck, extremely intimate.

Facing that direction, Melody Thorne caught Ivy’s entrance from the corner of her eye, having received her message. So, she removed her little hand from the man’s neck, touched his hair, and gently caressed it. Her voice was soft and tender, "Look at you, why were you in such a hurry just now?"

Jared Quinn squinted his dark, deep eyes. His breathtakingly handsome face revealed no emotion, but his big hand moved and rested on Melody Thorne’s back.

"Jared!" Suddenly, an excited scream came from the poolside. Before Ivy realized what she had done, she had already called out.

Hearing another woman’s voice in the back garden, Jared Quinn’s face immediately darkened. In his dark eyes, it seemed a cold sword was shooting toward Ivy’s direction.

Just then, Melody Thorne seemed startled by the voice, shuddered, slipped back into the water, and quickly swam to the other side.

Jared Quinn, caught off guard, was escaped by her, while Ivy, seeing their intimate actions, seemed extremely agitated as she walked to the poolside.

"Jared," Ivy bit her lip, lowered her voice, and spoke softly.

"Who allowed you in?" Jared Quinn snapped, his anger spreading throughout the pool area.

Startled by Jared Quinn’s voice, Ivy jumped, tugging at the clothing on her shoulder to reveal a scar, standing there, pitifully.

Meanwhile, Melody Thorne had already swum to the other side of the pool and climbed out with effort, turning back to say, "Didn’t all the Quinn family servants go off early today? So probably no one saw Ivy come in, and she didn’t mean to."

As she spoke, she wrapped a towel around herself. "Clothes are uncomfortable to wear, I’ll go change into a bikini. You guys talk, if you need to."

Hearing her mention changing into a bikini, Ivy’s eyes turned even darker. She had always known Jared Quinn hadn’t touched Melody Thorne, and now she couldn’t let Melody have the chance. Otherwise, where would her opportunity lie!

"Jared," Ivy crouched down and whispered, "I didn’t mean to break in. It’s because... it’s because for some reason, Melody took pictures in bed with someone, and moreover..."
