My System Love Me Too Much
Chapter 23: Alex Wesker and Cruise Ship
Harvard University, 1994.
It had been two years since Allen started studying there.
"Allen, you look like you're deep in thought," asked a junior while leaning on a bench in the campus park.
"Yeah, I was thinking about a friend," Allen replied casually, his eyes gazing off into the distance.
"A friend? Don't tell me… she's pretty?"
Allen nodded slowly. "Yeah, she's pretty."
"Damn, Allen… at least tell me— is she prettier than Mrs Alex?"
Allen chuckled at the question. "Alex? You mean Alex Wesker? I don't know, I've never seen her in person."
His friend glanced left and right, making sure no one was eavesdropping, then whispered, "I heard she's super sexy and has a lot of followers. Oh, and apparently she's actively recruiting talented people in specific fields. With your skills, I'm sure you'll be on her radar."
"Maybe… but I'm not interested in working for a pharmaceutical company. I don't know, it just feels like wasting my life away in a lab without really living."
"You can say that because you're surrounded by beautiful women every day… Damn, you womanizer!"
They both laughed out loud amidst the calm atmosphere of the campus, then casually walked toward the main hall.
"By the way, congrats on your graduation," said Daniel while patting Allen's shoulder.
"Thanks, and congrats to you too, Daniel," Allen replied with a warm smile.
Daniel hesitated for a moment before asking, "Allen, can I ask you something?"
"Sure, go ahead," said Allen while reaching into his pocket and inserting a coin into a vending machine to buy a cold cola.
"Why did you sell the patent for the telekinetic weapon to the U.S. government? I heard you designed it yourself."
Allen grinned casually. "Oh, you're curious about that?"
Daniel nodded seriously.
"Well… simple reason. Quick money and a shortcut to building my own company. Besides, their offer for the design was too good to pass up— three billion dollars."
"T-three billion?!" Daniel nearly choked. "Damn you, lucky bastard… you really are the kind of person people envy."
Allen laughed. "Let's just call it small-town luck."
Then he looked over at Daniel. "So, Daniel… what are your plans after this?"
"Well, I'm planning to apply to a few big companies. One of them is Umbrella. I heard they're hiring, especially in Raccoon City."
Then Daniel added, "Oh, isn't that your hometown, Allen?"
Allen nodded slowly. "Yeah, I actually plan to go back there… and I already bought a villa in the Arklay Mountains."
Daniel widened his eyes. "Seriously? A villa in Arklay? Man, you're on another level."
Allen just smiled while sipping his cola. "Well… maybe, but I still like a more natural environment. So, why not enjoy life in a quiet place, right?"
"Alright, alright. I'll be off then. See you around!" said Daniel, waving as he turned and walked away.
"Yeah, yeah. See you," Allen replied casually, then headed in the opposite direction.
Not far from there, several women were waiting for him.
"Darling, what took you so long?" asked Aphrodite with her arms crossed, half-pouting.
"Sorry, a friend stopped me for a quick chat," Allen replied, giving her a quick kiss on the lips.
"Come on, the others are already waiting," said Aphrodite as she linked her arm with his.
Allen joined the other girls, and together they left the university grounds.
Meanwhile…
Elsewhere, a communication transmission echoed in a dark room.
"Ma'am apologies. It seems the target will be difficult to recruit into the team. Awaiting your next instruction."
"Abort the mission," replied a cold and firm female voice. "You can return to the company. As for Allen... I'll handle him myself."
"Understood, ma'am."
The communication link was cut.
Some time later…
In one of Umbrella Corporation's facilities located in Europe, a woman stood behind a large glass panel, gazing at the grey sky outside with a sharp yet calm look. Footsteps approached.
"Mrs Alex, here is the data on Allen Winters you requested."
The woman glanced briefly. "Good work, Stuart. You may leave."
With a polite nod, the man bowed. "Yes, ma'am." Then he exited the room.
Alex Wesker opened the document, her eyes scanning the details on each page.
Name: Allen Winters
Age: 18 years
Qualifications:
• Diploma in Chemistry
• Diploma in Mechanics
• Diploma in Biology
• Diploma in Computer Science
Patents and Inventions:
• Telekinetic-based weapon
• Portable railgun
• Kinetic energy stabilization system
Alex flipped a page and smiled faintly.
"Such a young age… but already so brilliant and talented. Interesting."
Her gaze sharpened, as if already beginning to formulate a plan.
Back to Allen's POV.
"Husband, you finally came," Raviel greeted him with a bright smile before planting a soft kiss on his lips.
"Sorry for making you all wait," Allen replied as he pulled out a chair and started ordering food. "So, where are the others?"
"Oh, they already left earlier. They said they'll be waiting for us at the apartment," Raviel answered casually.
"So… have you all decided where to go for the vacation? And don't forget to invite Jill and Athena. I miss them," Allen said.
"Of course, I already invited them," Raviel replied quickly, resting her chin on her hand while looking at Allen sweetly.
Allen gave a small smile. He had just sold some of his patents—not just for the money, but so he could buy vacation tickets for the women he loved, who had recently completed their grueling training in Delta Force.
Senator Ron Davis had agreed to the deal without much resistance—after all, the program was considered ineffective and was reportedly going to be shut down by the president soon.
That meant Jill would be unemployed for at least two years before being recruited into S.T.A.R.S in 1996, in line with the timeline of Resident Evil 0–3, which takes place in 1998.
"So, for this year's vacation, everyone agreed on traveling the world on a cruise," Raviel added, twirling her spoon playfully.
"Hmm, sounds like a good idea. Maybe next time I'll just buy the cruise ship outright," Allen joked with a smirk, mimicking Bruce Wayne's flair.
They continued their dinner leisurely, sharing quiet laughter and light conversation, before heading back to their apartment—ready to begin a long, unforgettable vacation.
Two weeks after his graduation, Allen was now sitting alone at John F. Kennedy International Airport, waiting for someone. Many eyes were discreetly glancing his way—especially the women. And who could blame them? Standing at around 6'2" with an athletic build—not from working out, since he never needed that in the first place—and a face far too handsome for a normal man, Allen practically had a natural charm that drew people in at first glance.
Many men looked at him with envy. In fact, it had been a recurring issue since high school. Back then, quite a few people had tried to bully him—but Allen always fought back. Most of those bullies ended up hanging upside down from trees.
Because of that, he was given the nickname "The Hangman".
Now, still seated calmly in the airport's waiting lounge, Allen suddenly heard two familiar voices calling out his name in unison.
"Allen…"
He quickly turned his head. "Hey… long time no see," he said with a wide smile, opening his arms to welcome them.
Without hesitation, the two women ran toward him, dropping their luggage along the way, and wrapped him in a tight embrace. Allen returned the hug warmly.
"I missed you both so much," he whispered sincerely.
"We missed you too, Allen," Jill replied with a smile.
"Yeah, I missed you too," Athena added, then suddenly kissed Allen on the lips right there in the middle of the crowd.
Jill, not wanting to be outdone, kissed him too—as if their rivalry from the unit had carried over into this moment. But Allen didn't mind. In fact, he loved their fiery dynamic—especially now that they could still get along in the same embrace.
At the very least, he was glad they wouldn't be fighting when he wanted them both in the same bed later tonight.
Meanwhile, the people around them could only watch in envy.
Some of them were even muttering under their breath "Seriously, flaunting your love like that in public…"
"God, why do people like this never get hit by a truck or something?" grumbled some heartbroken singles watching the display of affection.
....
Allen then brought them into the car he had prepared beforehand and drove them to one of his apartments located in New York.
At the moment, Allen owned several apartments in different cities, and coincidentally, their vacation plan this time was to depart from New York harbor on a cruise ship.
That's why they were all gathering here.
"So, how's your mom doing, Allen?" Jill asked as they were on the road.
"She's doing just fine… and of course, still as beautiful as ever," Allen replied with a relaxed smile.
Jill could only shake her head with a resigned expression. How could she not—Allen's mother still hadn't gotten married, despite so many men trying to approach her.
Honestly, Jill felt a bit uneasy if Allen and his mother's relationship ever developed into something more serious.
But in the end, she realized that opposing it would only damage her relationship with Allen. So all she could do was accept it and support him, as best as she could.
Throughout the ride, they chatted a lot about their time in the military—the training, the missions, and the fierce but hilarious rivalry between Jill and Athena while serving in the same unit.
Once they arrived at the apartment, Jill and Athena were warmly welcomed by the girls who had already arrived earlier—including Allen's mother.
Just like Allen said, she truly hadn't aged a bit and remained stunningly beautiful. Even Raviel and the other girls looked more gorgeous than ever after such a long time apart.
Especially Athena, who had always drawn attention in the military. She too was admired by many. But for some reason, Jill often felt more insecure compared to the others.
Fortunately, Allen always reassured her that she was just as beautiful as anyone else, and that was enough to restore her confidence.
"Hey… Jill, I missed you!" Raviel shouted as she hugged Jill tightly—their chests pressing together, making Jill's face immediately turn red.
"Yeah… I missed you too, Raviel," Jill replied with a slightly frustrated tone, especially when she unconsciously compared their body figures. Well, her other sisters like Aphrodite, Hera, and Persephone were still within tolerable comparison… but Raviel was always in a league of her own.
After that, Jill greeted the rest of the girls one by one until finally, Allen's mother appeared.
"Jill, how have you been? And… how's your mom? I heard you visited her before coming here," the woman asked warmly.
"She's doing well. She's living in Japan now with Dad," Jill answered with a smile.
"Oh… I'm glad to hear that," she replied while gently kissing Jill on the cheek.
Afterward, they all spent the evening chatting and watching movies together. That harmonious atmosphere lasted until nightfall, and they eventually went to rest.
Meanwhile, on the other side—POV Alex Wesker...
Inside a luxurious room filled with monitors and classified intel documents, Alex Wesker sat casually while staring at several photos spread across her desk. Photos of Allen, surrounded by beautiful women, made her smirk.
"Well… typical womanizer. He really is handsome—too handsome. But that just makes my job easier… approaching and recruiting him," she muttered while toying with one of the photos in her hand, eyes focused intently on Allen's face.
Not long after, her loyal butler, Stuart, entered the room and gave a polite bow.
"Mrs Alex, according to reports from our intel team, Allen and his women are planning a cruise vacation," Stuart reported calmly.
Alex raised an eyebrow, her interest piqued even further. "Oh? Did you find out the name of the ship?"
"Yes, it's called Olimpus. But… are you sure you want to book a ticket on the same ship? The departure is in just two days. I'm concerned it might interfere with your schedule."
Alex let out a soft chuckle, then rose from her chair and walked toward the window, gazing out at the city.
"Hmm… it's fine. It's been a while since I've taken time to enjoy myself. Consider this… operational to be my personal vacation," she said with a sly tone and a hint of hidden intent. "Just book the ticket. I want to see firsthand the man who's able to keep so many women around him."
"As you wish, Madam," Stuart replied obediently before exiting the room to carry out her orders.
After Stuart left, Alex looked back at one of Allen's photos, where she was smiling calmly, surrounded by his beautiful companions.
