My Ultimate Sign-in System Made Me Invincible
Chapter 104: Telekinesis
CHAPTER 104: TELEKINESIS
An unknown amount of time passed before Liam finally came to. He looked around him and he could see nothing but the endless wasteland his face was planted on.
"Ughhh! What happened?" He groaned, as he got up and collapsed on the chair.
"Lucy, what happened?"
"I have no idea. You were talking to yourself about something and the next thing I know your body started going through some mysterious massive changes, especially in your brain as I noticed unprecedented neural firing patterns. Then you screamed and passed out," Lucy replied.
"Is that so?" Liam sighed, as he looked at his hands, observing it if anything had changed.
It seems like whatever changes my body went through wasn’t something physical. Or was it just my brain?
Liam has no idea that the changes Lucy was talking about was the increase in his strength after he had allocated the attribute points.
He currently has a million and one questions, and he knew that it was only the system that can give him the answers to his questions. And he was about to ask it, when a notification popped up in his retina.
[Ding!]
[Congratulations, Host, you’ve met the stat requirements. You’ve awakened your superpower: Telekinesis]
***
"... awakened my superpower? Telekinesis? What the...?" Liam spluttered out in a mix of shock, disbelief, and confusion.
"System, what’s the meaning of this?" He asked, immediately seeking answers to his increasing questions.
[You read the notification right, Host. You met the stat requirement and awakened your superpower.]
"What was the stat requirement?"
[Minimum of 100 stat points per attributes.]
"So, first things first. Is this something unique to me or it’s a general stuff?" He asked.
Liam felt that this was one of the more important questions because it will change how he perceives the world.
Heck, the fact he awakened a superpower has already done that.
[Yes and yes, Host]
Liam couldn’t help but frown at the system’s response.
"Yes and yes? What do you mean by that, system?" He asked.
[You awakening is something that unique to you but it’s also something that anyone in your home universe can do if they meet the requirement.]
Liam’s eyes closed to a thin slit, as he processed what the system had just said.
"If I’m correct, system, then what you mean is that everyone in my home universe can awaken their superpower when they attain a minimum of 100 points per attributes?" He said, asking for confirmation from the system.
[Correct, Host]
"Also, if I’m correct again, me being able to awaken is unique to me because you helped me to increase my strength. So, I’m the only person in my home universe with superpower?"
[Exactly, Host]
"Wow... That’s... This is..." Liam sighed heavily.
He was not just short of words but also completely at a loss. But there was one sentence he kept repeating in his head over and over again: he now has superpower!
Having superpower? That was the dream of every kid, especially boys. While they also want the finest things in life like sneakers, phones, video games, cars, money and the rest. Nothing will ever beat having superpower.
For Liam, this is like a dream come true. He was even already thinking about everything he could possibly do with his superpower.
What was telekinesis? It was the most versatile and overpowered superpower. With just enough mental strength and creativity, whoever wields it is unstoppable.
Liam smiled as he imagined the things he could do with his new power. But he quickly decided to stop imagining the future and instead check out what he can do now.
He sighed softly, closing his eyes briefly as he reached out his hand for a key fob on the table, and he focused his thought on it, trying to lift it off the table.
At first, he felt nothing and the key fob didn’t budge from its position. But he saw result the next moment, as it vibrated slightky and slowly lifted off from the table, and floated towards him.
Liam smiled to himself but made sure to maintain his focus on the object as it continued floating towards it, until it settled into his hand.
"Wow! I did it!" He whispered softly, smiling proudly to himself.
He looked at the key fob in his hand and controlled it to hover above his hand, and it did just that. He held it like that for a while, curious to see how long he hold an object of its size before he starts feeling headaches.
But after more than a minute, he felt nothing. He decided to stop, as he sent it back to the table.
"So, I have superpower..." He muttered to himself, staring at the blue diamond on the table.
He focused his thought on it and it slowly lifted from the table, and drifted towards him. It reached his face but he didn’t reach out to grab it, as he held it like that in the air.
While, doing that, he decided to multitask as he flipped the pages of the island’s documents, and took a photo out of it. It drifted upwards and was now hovering beside the diamond.
Curious to see how far, he can push himself, he focused his thought on the document and made it drift upward and hover beside the diamond, and the photo.
"Not bad," he muttered himself, with a face and voice filled with satisfaction, and pride.
He had expected it to be difficult at first but it felt easy. Too easy actually. There was no headache, nosebleed or anything.
"Well, time to check the new system function," he said. "System, please tell me everything I should know about it."
[Transdimensional Travel function will allow you to travel to any world and in any universe. To use it, you will have to choose a universe and the world you want to travel to there.]
Liam nodded, as he digested everything the system was saying.
[There are two universes you can choose from: one of magic and one of cultivation — mana and spirit qi. You chose any word in one universe, you will be able to travel there and you can set up an access point to link the world to the Dimensional Space. That way you can easily move between that universe, the space and Earth]
"I see... But why just two universes? I thought they are countless out there?" Liam asked.
[They are countless worlds but only three universes. Each universe has its own unique energy. Yours has dark energy, the second has mana and the last is spirit qi. Each universes holds countless worlds and in each words are countless planets.]
"Dark energy? Three universes? Countless worlds?" Liam’s eyes widened slightly in shock, As he tried to process what the system said.
"So, if my universe has dark energy, can we, I, get stronger by absorbing it?"
[No, Host. Dark energy can’t be absorbed. Its use doesn’t go beyond sustaining your universe and everything in it.]
"But why? If those people in other universes can absorb the energy in their universe, why can’t we?" He asked.
Forgive him but he found it unbelievable and unfair at the same time.
[The laws of those universes allow them but not for yours.]
"I see..." He still found it to be unfair, but he doesn’t want to start arguing with the system.
[No, Host, I can’t help you bypass the restrictions of your universe... yet.]
"Wait I didn’t even ask... Ohhh," Liam nodded slowly, smiling in understanding.
I will be waiting for you you’re able to. Till then, let’s explore these brave new worlds.
"System, can I see a list of cultivation worlds available?" He asked.
[No, Host. But I can send you to the universe and you can choose whatever world you want to go to.]
"Ok. Do that."
Just as he said that, his environment shifted instantly and he found himself standing in deep space.
Having experienced this with the Dimensional Space, he was no longer fazed. But there was something different about this experience. It wasn’t just stars he was seeing, he was also seeing what looks like planets, floating landscapes with ancient looking structures, massively monstrous looking monsters sleeping on want looks like stars and there was also shining rivers.
But he couldn’t see everything even with his eagle vision trait and he was struggling to comprehend the scale of what he was seeing too.
"Wow! Just amazing."
His eyes darted to the near countless, equally massive planets before settling on one.
"That one," he said.
The next moment, he felt an incredible force of attraction from the planet and he disappeared from his position.
