Chapter 83: A New RequestAfter my conversation with Jackson, I asked him if I could share the information he had given me with the people from my group, and he allowed it.

As I left his office, he stopped me and thanked me.

    "For what?" I asked.

But Jackson only smiled brightly and went back to his desk without responding, making me understand.

I returned the smile and went home, where the rest of my group awaited.

When I got there, Melina told me that they had found a note in the living room from Gina stating that she and the group of alchemists were training in End Forest. However, it didn’t say when they would be coming back.

"Well, in that case, we can just go visit them," I said. Sear?h the n?velFire.net website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

A few moments later, we teleported to my tree house and found a wide array of herbs and flowers planted all around in organized patches.

As we all inspected the unknown herbs, one of the alchemists came through the main door with haste to pick a handful when he spotted us.

"Oh, It’s the princess and Ichiro!" he exclaimed, making the other alchemists inside the tree house exclaim with joy, letting us hear them from outside.

Simultaneously, both Carli and Gina were arriving from scouting the forest while hauling a couple of monsters in the back of a cart with ease.

"We are glad to see you are all safe." the maids said in unison as they politely bowed.

Hearing a set of steps coming quickly from inside the tree house, Reinar popped up with enthusiasm to greet us.

"You are back. I have so many things to show you guys!" he exclaimed as we all went inside.

The first and third floors were pretty much the same as I had left them, with only a few things that had been moved. However, the second floor where I had my workshop had apparently received an upgrade from Reinar.

"It wasn’t easy, but I tried my best to use nature magic and made the entire workshop much bigger," he explained.

Seeing the room, I noticed it wasn’t only bigger, but it was much more organized and clean than before.

When I worked there alone, I had crates filled with materials everywhere, and there wasn’t much space for more than two people to work. Now, it could fit at least ten alchemists working comfortably.

He told me that none of the other alchemists had reached the level of "Master Alchemist" yet, but I wasn’t expecting anyone to get it so soon. Reinar probably wasn’t aware of it, but his level of understanding and learning were at a much higher level than others.

Since I wanted to catch up with everyone on what had happened, we sat in the living room to talk about the events of Port Town Blue.

The maids seemed to be enraged at the fact that they couldn’t help against the devil, saying that they had some experience as they had faced the devil Zagor in the past.

I told them about all of the devils that Jackson told me about, explaining to them that the Sephyr Kingdom wouldn’t have to worry about another invasion for a few years until one of the other devils showed interest in the place.

The maids were keen on hunting every devil in the world with haste, but it wasn’t something that we could realistically accomplish.

Armaros was considered one of the weakest, and we still struggled to get rid of him. Some of the other devils had armies under their command with monsters and humans, so I saw no chance of us taking them down, at least not anytime soon.

"Do you have another plan in mind?" asked Carli with a serious expression.

I could tell that the maids really wanted to get rid of the devils, and they had all the reasons for wanting to. Considering their kingdom had been taken over by one, their frustration must have felt quite unbearable.

"I do have a plan, kinda..." I said, which wasn’t completely accurate.

I did think that waiting at least for us to be sixteen years old would be the wisest since we needed to train to the point where we could use our awakening without relying on my companion’s buffs.

Apart from that, our group needed more combat training to be able to react and protect themselves from any unexpected attack that the devils could cast.

"Vespera, can you enchant Gina’s and Carli’s gear? The uniforms too." I asked.

The maids inquired about what I meant, so I explained that we had been using the magical ponchos that Vespera made for us the entire time, and without them, we probably would have struggled a lot more against the Kraken and Armaros.

Gina and Carli knew how to coat their weapons with magic but rarely cast any other type of spell.

Interestingly enough, they were able to cast their magic silently after seeing me and the princess practice it so much, so they were both already at a different level from the average fighters in this world.

"With these enchantments, you’ll be able to fly easily simply by casting wind magic to propel yourself," I explained, knowing that both maids didn’t know how to use gravity magic.

However, with their enchanted gear and uniform, they didn’t need to learn it. All they needed was wind magic to move around.

"I’ll work on them tonight, then," Vespera said, carefree like always.

That same day, our group went back to the house in End Town since all of the alchemists were staying at the tree house.

The following day, Melina and I stopped by the adventurers guild to see if there were any new requests, but the place was bustling with activity.

Apparently, large groups of adventurers were swarming the town recently, although I couldn’t think of a reason why it was happening.

The clerk told us that there had been a resurgence of monsters not long ago where all the monsters ranked between G and D, meaning it was a great place for adventurers to train their skills.

"I see. So, I’m guessing there are no requests that haven’t been taken." I said, but the clerk shook her head.

"Well, if you are interested in leaving town for a little bit again, there are some requests coming from the small villages of the kingdom." the clerk replied.

Showing us a map of the kingdom, the clerk told us that villages on the path to the border had been attacked by monsters for the past few months, and while the attacks had subsided, they were still struggling with their living conditions.

It wasn’t a request to hunt monsters but to help people rebuild their homes. Honestly, it was right up our alley.

I glanced at Melina, who was smiling. Knowing that she enjoyed using her magic to help others more than fighting, we happily took the request.

The fact that the villages were on the path to the border was also perfect for us since I wanted to visit the headquarters of the 7th Knight Order, the group that Valentina led.

Their commander was in End Town training with my knights, but I had promised her that I would install a gym in their premises like I did with the knights at Port Town Blue.

Before we left, we visited the barracks to see the knights progress, and they were still in that first phase where everything hurt.

I told Valentina we would be going to her headquarters soon and asked her if she wanted to join us. However, that was a trick question since I knew Valentina still had a long way to go, and she was solely focused on training.

"Surely you can handle that request without my help." She said with a slight smile.

Valentina was a proud woman, and we started with the left foot when we met. However, she had grown on me much more after she apologized to us back in Port Town Blue.

Yes, she was rude sometimes, but I could tell that she genuinely cared about protecting the kingdom.

"We’ll handle it. I just wanted to let you know," I said vaguely, returning the smile.

Only Yoru, Melina, and I would be traveling to the villages, as I wanted Vespera to finish the enchantments for the maids and teach them how to use them properly.

I knew Vespera wasn’t fond of staying in one place while we traveled, but she said that since she had to tend to her webs, too, she would let it slide this one time.

Getting ready with our magical ponchos, the princess and I took flight and made our way to the destroyed villages.

While flying, I pondered what was on the other side of the border, as I had heard that the Sephyr Kingdom didn’t border any other country directly.

’Now that the kingdom is safe, I’m starting to get more curious about the rest of this world...’ I thought.
