Naruto: Eating A Devil Fruit In The World Of Shinobi
Chapter 133 133: The Tailed Beasts Unleashed.
"One man is fighting the Third Tsuchikage and two Jinchūriki without being defeated! I'm afraid even the combined might of the current Sannin wouldn't be enough. Could he be another demigod?" Akimichi Chōza said gravely.
"If that's the case, we must report this to Jiraiya-sama at once," Aburame Shiki replied calmly.
"Let's move! Hurry! He only glanced at me through my Byakugan and already noticed us! He's still fighting the Third Tsuchikage—we can't waste time!" Hizashi was drenched in cold sweat, his heart pounding.
"Agreed! We're leaving now!" Chōza declared.
This was the height of the Third Great Ninja War—an unstable and dangerous time. The appearance of such a powerful figure was no small matter. They needed to inform Jiraiya-sama immediately.
ROAR! ROAR!
On the desolate battlefield, two earth-shaking roars exploded across the land.
As the echoes faded, Roshi and Han stood cloaked in thick, burning chakra.
Their chakra cloaks deepened in intensity, thickening into visible form, and their bodies began to grow rapidly—towering to nearly thirty meters in height.
Crack! Crack!
The sound of shattering echoed like breaking eggshells.
Before them appeared two titanic beasts: a four-tailed ape-like figure and a snow-white, long-headed creature with two horns and five swaying tails.
Ōnoki narrowed his eyes, rising once more into the air.
Seeing the monstrous forms, Kaito murmured, "So they've fully transformed. Letting the tailed beasts fight directly?"
"It's been too long since I've come out like this, Roshi! You better let me finish things!" Four-Tails, Son Gokū, boomed loudly.
"I never expected we'd fight side-by-side one day," Five-Tails, Kokuō, said in a cold tone.
"Hmph! These two Jinchūriki are pathetic—just like that useless old man Ōnoki. Useless! In the end, we're the ones who have to clean up!" Son Gokū snorted.
He held no affection for Ōnoki. If not for the ninja villages, he wouldn't have ended up like this.
"Enough talk. Let's deal with the enemy. I don't like this place," Kokuō said.
With that, the five-tailed beast charged forward at blistering speed, as if propelled by chakra engines. Its entire body became a streak of white light.
In the blink of an eye, it appeared before Kaito, lowering its head to strike with its razor-sharp horns.
Those horns could easily pulverize a mountain. In the original timeline, Kokuō had once used them to knock back the Eight-Tails.
But Kaito's expression didn't change. He extended his palm, lightning crackling across his body as a massive, radiant hand of thunder formed in front of him.
Kokuō didn't hesitate. Though mild-mannered compared to most tailed beasts, it found Kaito's power irritatingly arrogant.
Its speed doubled as it moved again, the scenery blurring in its vision.
BOOM!!!
The impact echoed across the battlefield.
Kokuō felt its skull tremble and a numbing sting across its body. It was like ramming into a mountain of solid steel—it couldn't even budge Kaito.
As it shook its head in confusion, the massive thunder hand closed around it, trapping it in place.
Blinding voltage surged through its body, searing it from the inside. Though made of chakra and technically immortal, Kokuō writhed in agony.
If it didn't retreat into its Jinchūriki's body, it knew Roshi wouldn't survive the next second.
Still in pain, Kokuō opened its massive jaws and began condensing a Tailed Beast Bomb.
BOOM!
Lava-fueled fists smashed into Kaito's thunder hand from above.
Lava spewed like a tsunami as Four-Tails, Son Gokū, charged in.
His blow shattered the lightning hand in a molten explosion, and the residual force crashed to the ground with terrifying intensity.
The entire landscape turned red as scorching heat radiated across the battlefield.
BOOM!
Like a volcanic eruption, the ground beneath turned into a sea of lava that shot upward toward Kaito.
But Kaito remained calm. He stomped downward, wrapping himself in layers of lightning chakra, forming a protective barrier.
He stepped into the sky, [Moonwalk] allowing him to stay airborne.
Without Kaito's support, the thunder hand holding Kokuō began to fade.
Kokuō slowly rose, the pain rapidly receding. In seconds, it was back to normal.
"That human is dangerous," it growled. "Especially that lightning technique… I wouldn't last long against it."
"I know. That lightning is powerful—both offensive and defensive. It must be a bloodline limit," Son Gokū said grimly.
"And he can fly… makes him even harder to deal with." Son Gokū charged another Tailed Beast Bomb in his mouth and fired it upward toward Kaito.
Kaito twisted midair, his body flowing like water. He dodged the attack cleanly and vanished into the sky.
BOOM!
A massive explosion rocked the clouds in the distance.
"He's fast and agile… annoying to fight," Kokuō muttered.
"What the hell was that old man Ōnoki thinking, provoking someone like this?" Son Gokū grumbled. "If he wants to leave, we won't be able to stop him."
Truth be told, if not for their decent bond with their Jinchūriki, both tailed beasts might've launched a Tailed Beast Bomb at Ōnoki instead.
Their conversation sounded casual, but Ōnoki didn't miss the pointed tone. He knew they were mocking him.
His already darkened face grew even gloomier.
Kaito looked down at the Third Tsuchikage with a mocking smile, then shifted his gaze to the two beasts below.
His voice rang out coldly, "Is that all you've got? You're too weak."
He had seen enough. Aside from their Tailed Beast Bombs, their attacks didn't even faze him.
Thanks to his unique body, his chakra reserves were nigh-limitless. He could unleash high-level techniques without hesitation.
At best, these two ranked at the lower end of Kage-level.
No wonder Hashirama and Madara could suppress them like pets.
