Naruto: I Am The System
Chapter 86 86: Point Farming Machine
The reincarnation missions for Black Zetsu, Might Duy, and the others had come to an end.
Soon after, Kushina and Nagato's respective teams also completed their trials.
What caught Nawaki by surprise was that Minato had actually managed to perform the Flying Thunder God Technique during his mission! Although he only succeeded once—and it cost him an enormous amount of chakra—it ultimately secured the victory.
Given time, Minato would no doubt refine the Flying Thunder God Technique and once again become the Yellow Flash from Nawaki's memories.
Meanwhile, Nagato's mission proved much more challenging.
But interestingly, perhaps because the Rinnegan had always imposed such a massive burden on him, it had long been stifling his growth.
Once the Rinnegan was removed, Nagato's innate talent exploded. His strength rose at a staggering pace—within just one month, he broke through to C-rank!
Had it not been for the system limitation that automatically dissolves a squad when there's too much of a strength disparity, Nagato likely would've kept pushing through a rank or two more before finally slowing down.
Nagato's breakthrough alone earned Nawaki 3,000 points.
And that was just the beginning.
As ranks increased and breakthroughs became more difficult, Nawaki would earn even more points for each advancement.
For example, if Madara broke through from S+ to SS, that single step would net Nawaki tens of thousands of points!
However, there was one rule:
Breakthroughs couldn't rely purely on external power. The reincarnator had to contribute genuine effort for Nawaki to receive points.
For instance, if a reincarnator purchased the Rinnegan and forcibly boosted their strength from A-rank to S-rank, it would yield zero points.
But if that reincarnator gradually obtained the Sharingan, then the Sage Body, then gathered the chakra of Asura and Indra, and awakened the Rinnegan on their own?
That would earn points.
"Who the hell came up with this annoying system?"
Nawaki thought, exasperated.
It was all part of preventing reincarnators from brute-forcing their way to power through exchanges and ignoring actual training.
So, Nawaki designed every mission to match the reincarnators' current strength level—barely within reach. This way, the missions felt extremely difficult, and the pressure would push them into making exchanges just to survive.
He also deliberately lowered the point rewards.
This forced them to only afford fragments of powerful abilities. Then, through one mission after another, they'd gradually upgrade and refine those powers—learning by doing.
Huh. Why does this model feel so familiar?
Nawaki paused, a strange sense of déjà vu creeping in.
He quickly shoved the odd thought aside and let a mischievous grin spread across his face.
He had just thrown Madara into an extremely difficult world—giving him another dose of the Lord God's sadistic love.
But it still wasn't enough.
Madara actually wanted to resurrect Hashirama! Even though that seed had been planted by Nawaki himself, the idea of someday having "Grandpa Hashirama" floating above his head made Nawaki extremely uncomfortable.
Sure, he could call Tsunade "Big Sis" with a straight face…
But Hashirama?
Just picturing that gave Nawaki chills.
So, he decisively assigned Madara several brutal missions as a way to vent his irritation.
---
Meanwhile…
At the newly rebuilt, silent mansion atop the Uchiha ruins, Madara reappeared.
Although he looked mostly uninjured, his crimson armor was cracked and bloodstained, and his Uchiha war fan bore visible damage—all signs of the brutal battle he had just endured.
Yet in his eyes burned a fierce and fervent light.
The bloodlust buried deep within him—the thirst for battle passed down through his very veins—had been awakened by the Reincarnator Missions.
And just as that heat in his blood surged again, the voice of the Lord God System echoed in his ears.
[The mission has reached deeper levels.]
[With the steady growth of reincarnators power...]
[the next mission will drastically increase in difficulty.]
[And thus shall be called: the Ascension Mission.]
[Complete the Ascension Mission to exit the novice phase.]
[Your system privileges will be upgraded,
and the Reincarnation Space will be unlocked.]
After hearing this, Madara's face lit up with excitement. In his eyes, there was a flicker of… anticipation.
"Ascension Mission? Interesting.
I'm curious to see just how hard this gets."
While the Three Sannin wore faint expressions of worry upon hearing about the upcoming trial...
Madara's reaction was far more confident.
Even after encountering opponents no weaker than himself during his last two missions, his belief in his own power had not wavered.
Perhaps he was a frog in a well.
Perhaps there were beings far stronger in other worlds.
But Madara believed that he could grow stronger—stronger than anyone—and surpass them all.
That was the heart of a true warrior.
Or rather, that was exactly what defined the former antagonist of the Naruto world—Madara Uchiha.
Defiant, combative, and radiating unshakable confidence.
Of course, that didn't mean he looked down on other strong enemies. While eagerly awaiting his next battle, he had already spent a large portion of his points strengthening himself.
He wasn't just hoarding his points for the sake of reviving Izuna or Hashirama.
The recent difficult fights had shown him one thing—he couldn't afford to be complacent.
So he had no choice but to invest in himself.
Not bad. Not bad at all.
Madara's personality is perfect for the Lord God System.
Nawaki nodded in approval.
If someone were to encounter powerful beings from other worlds and lose all confidence, desperately begging to withdraw and return to a peaceful life…
Well, if they managed to collect 100,000 points, Nawaki would gladly let them go.
He didn't need reincarnators who had neither courage nor the desire to become stronger.
---
His attention returned from Madara to his own tea table.
Nawaki sat in the courtyard, sipping tea as he tallied the spoils of this round of reincarnations.
The Three Sannin's Ascension Missions earned him over 20,000 points.
Black Zetsu and his group brought in 5,000 points.
Kushina and Nagato's squads brought in over 3,000 points.
And Madara's mission alone had rewarded him with a staggering 30,000+ points.
Madara really is a walking point machine.
Adding in the 70,000+ points he already had…
With just one round of missions, Nawaki now had over 130,000 points—enough to create an entirely new Reincarnation Space!
But Nawaki wasn't about to get wasteful.
One Reincarnation Space was plenty for now. And though 130,000 points sounded like a lot, when it came time to use them, it still felt tight.
"Hmm… figuring out how to best use these points is a serious challenge."
He took another sip of tea—now lukewarm—and looked at the floating tea leaves, the reflection of his own face in the cup.
Suddenly, a thought surfaced.
"Wait a second…
Since I've got Madara farming points for me,
shouldn't I use some of these to strengthen myself for once?
I was planning to exchange for a few things anyway…
Might as well try one out now."
