Chapter 136: Give me your wife.
In a luxurious villa, Emiya Kiritsugu sat with his secretary, calmly discussing their next move.
Though several Masters had agreed to cooperate, no specific plan had yet been finalized. The common goal remained clear: defeat Zenkichi. However, none of them dared to underestimate his power. Even working together, they needed a flawless strategy.
Meanwhile, King Arthur sat nearby with Irisviel, sharing a quiet moment. Their bond was as strong as ever, their pure affection growing like a delicate blossom amidst the tension of war.
Suddenly, Irisviel's expression shifted. A strange redness spread across her skin, and King Arthur noticed immediately.
"Irisviel, what's wrong?" she asked, concerned.
Irisviel frowned. "The Lesser Holy Grail within me... It just received two Heroic Spirit souls—Gilgamesh and Hassan."
"What?!" Kiritsugu stood up in disbelief. "You must be joking."
Gilgamesh was considered the strongest among the Servants—aside from Zenkichi—and a critical part of their plan. Even though Hassan lacked raw power, his assassination skills made him a key piece of their anti-Zenkichi strategy.
With both gone, their odds had just plummeted.
As Kiritsugu tried to process the situation, Irisviel's expression changed again. "No—another one. The Caster's soul just entered as well."
The Caster of this war had been a deranged killer. But after Zenkichi eliminated the King of Heroes and Hassan, he apparently finished Caster and his Master off with a precise long-range laser blast.
Out of the seven Servants summoned for this Holy Grail War, Zenkichi had now eliminated four.
Worse, with the deaths of Gilgamesh and Iskandar—the King of Heroes and the King of Conquerors—the very fabric of the world had been disturbed. Their deaths tore small holes in the dimensional barrier, allowing chaotic energy from beyond to pour into the Great Grail.
Deep below, where the Greater Grail was sealed, the ancient altar began to glow. Symbols carved into the stone shimmered, reacting to the surge of power.
The Greater Holy Grail was awakening.
Zenkichi stood before the altar, a faint smile on his face. His real body was present to welcome the Grail's emergence—his clones were already handling the rest.
In another villa, one of Zenkichi's clones had just defeated Lancer with ease.
Despite his Master burning through all three Command Seals to boost his power, it wasn't enough. Lancer was slain without resistance.
The Lancer's particular charm—his infamous "mole of love"—had caused chaos in his life. Even his Master's fiancée had been drawn to him, complicating their relationship.
But now, as he died, Lancer's Master looked on with an oddly satisfied expression.
"This Grail War… is one where humanity wins," he said softly.
The Grail War, originally meant for Heroic Spirits, had turned into a slaughter—by a human.
Lancer's soul was absorbed into the Lesser Grail. The moment the fifth spirit entered, it overloaded and exploded.
Then something extraordinary happened.
The Greater Holy Grail responded. It began to recognize Zenkichi as the victor.
King Arthur and Lancelot, who had not yet been defeated, felt their existence waver as the Grail's judgment activated.
That's when another clone of Zenkichi appeared before them.
He raised his hand, and a surge of energy drawn from the Hogyoku and deathly power stabilized their fading forms.
"What are you doing, Zenkichi?" King Arthur demanded, standing protectively in front of Irisviel.
"Relax. I'm not here to fight. I came to save her," Zenkichi replied calmly. Then he turned to face Kiritsugu.
"Emiya Kiritsugu," he said, "let's make a deal."
Kiritsugu narrowed his eyes. "What kind of deal?"
"Give me your wife," Zenkichi stated plainly, "and I'll give you the opportunity to make a wish with the Holy Grail."
King Arthur's face twisted with fury. "Zenkichi, you've gone too far!"
But Zenkichi ignored her, his gaze fixed on Kiritsugu.
Kiritsugu's jaw clenched. After a long pause, he finally asked, "You're serious?"
"I don't lie," Zenkichi answered.
Defeated and weary, Kiritsugu lowered his head. "Fine. I accept."
King Arthur stepped back in disbelief. "You're… giving her away?"
Irisviel's expression was conflicted, but she said nothing.
With a faint, bitter smile, she turned to King Arthur and said, "I was created as the Lesser Holy Grail by my family. I was always meant to die after the war."
Zenkichi chuckled. "What if I told you I can save you?"
He looked back at Kiritsugu. "Still want to give her to me?"
Kiritsugu remained silent for a long moment, then nodded.
Zenkichi sighed, shaking his head slightly. "A man like you… admirable, but dangerous."
Then, without warning, he raised his hand. Massive spiritual pressure surged forth, and he pulled Irisviel's soul from her body.
Her soul began to transform, infused with Reaper power.
The soulless body that remained turned into a vessel—the Lesser Holy Grail.
Zenkichi looked at King Arthur. "Someone's been waiting to see you. Go to him."
With a wave of his hand, a powerful force enveloped King Arthur, teleporting her to Lancelot's location.
When she appeared, Lancelot dropped to his knees immediately.
"My King! After all these years… I've waited for this moment."
"I've longed for your judgment," he said, his face full of remorse.
He had never forgiven himself for what happened between him and the queen—an affair that contributed to the fall of Britain.
He had entered this war not to win, but to seek punishment from his King.
"And now," he said, "please… give me the justice I deserve."
