CHAPTER 232: CHAPTER 232 : THE WORLD NEEDS UCHIHA MADARA

In a dark, shadowy cave, the Akatsuki members gathered.

They had been waiting for a long time.

Waiting for the Impure World Reincarnation Technique to be perfected.

Waiting for the masked man’s signal—his order to strike Konoha.

But they had waited endlessly, and still, nothing came.

Every time they asked, the masked man would give the same answer: "We still need to wait."

At first, they tolerated it. But as time dragged on, unrest spread among them.

Why?

They now possessed an army of Impure World Reincarnated shinobi—powerful, nearly indestructible warriors.

With such overwhelming strength, why were they sitting idle in the dark?

Why weren’t they crushing Konoha already?

Was their leader—the masked man—really that afraid of Uchiha Haru?

The discontent grew louder, especially from Deidara. Among all the Akatsuki, he was the most rebellious.

The masked man was furious, but now wasn’t the time for internal conflict. He needed them—for now.

But even so, the pressure mounted. More and more members demanded immediate action.

Then came the news that turned irritation into boiling outrage:

The Hidden Mist Village had formed an alliance with Konoha.

Two great shinobi villages—united against them.

It wasn’t just Konoha anymore. Now it was also Kirigakure, led by the Fifth Mizukage, Terumi Mei.

A full-powered, stable Hidden Mist Village.

This wasn’t a setback—it was a disaster.

If they had attacked earlier, when Konoha was still vulnerable, none of this would have happened.

Now they faced the combined might of two villages. No wonder the demand to strike immediately intensified.

But only the masked man knew the full truth.

He couldn’t defeat Uchiha Haru—not yet.

Even with the Impure World Reincarnation army, it wasn’t enough.

Uchiha Haru hadn’t revealed the full extent of his power. God knew what other terrifying techniques he hadn’t yet shown.

The masked man had no choice.

He had to wait.

He had to be sure.

Only when the Impure World Reincarnation was perfected—only when he had both Uchiha Madara and the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, under his control—would he stand a chance.

He couldn’t afford to gamble. Not on this.

If these Akatsuki members refused to obey, he’d deal with them. Mercilessly.

Right now, they were still useful to him. They were alive and could still fight.

But if necessary, he could kill them and resurrect them with Edo Tensei. They’d be far more obedient that way.

If not for the threat of Orochimaru stealing a perfect sample during the process, he would’ve done it already.

He didn’t trust Orochimaru—not in the slightest. The snake sannin was always looking for an angle.

Still, the living Akatsuki members had their uses. Not just for destroying Konoha and fighting Uchiha Haru—they were also a counterweight to Orochimaru himself.

As long as they lived, they could serve that purpose.

After issuing another round of half-hearted reassurances to his subordinates, the masked man headed straight for Orochimaru’s lab.

He needed answers. Now.

The others weren’t the only ones losing patience.

He’d waited for years. Decades. He was a master of patience.

But something in his gut told him: time was running out.

The longer he delayed, the greater the risk.

They needed the perfect Impure World Reincarnation now. They needed Uchiha Madara and Hashirama Senju—both of them.

Only then could he finally confront Uchiha Haru.

He entered the lab.

"Orochimaru," he said coldly. "How close are we?"

Orochimaru looked up from his work, unfazed. "A few more days."

"A few days?" The masked man’s voice darkened. "Every time I ask, you say ’a few days.’ How many days has it been?"

"I told you before—we need to act. We must strike at Konoha and Uchiha Haru. We can’t afford more delay."

His tone sharpened. "Do you know what’s happening out there? The Hidden Mist Village has officially allied with Konoha. We’re no longer just fighting a weakened Konoha—we’re up against two fully powered villages."

"That makes our situation exponentially worse."

Orochimaru, however, remained completely indifferent. He smirked slightly. "So what? If you’re that desperate to attack Uchiha Haru now, be my guest. I certainly won’t stop you."

"You—!"

A hint of murderous intent flickered in the masked man’s heart.

For so many years, no one had dared speak to him like that—not after learning his true identity.

But he had no way of dealing with Orochimaru.

Because Orochimaru was the cornerstone of his entire plan.

He needed him. He needed the Impure World Reincarnation—Edo Tensei—perfected. Without it, there was no chance of defeating Uchiha Haru.

That was the only reason he tolerated the snake.

And maybe that was exactly why Orochimaru dared to speak so brazenly.

"What did you just say?" the masked man growled.

Even if he required Orochimaru’s cooperation now, that didn’t mean he would tolerate disrespect. Someone needed to be reminded who was in charge.

The snake needed a proper lesson.

Orochimaru, however, seemed to realize he might have crossed the line. A sinister smile played on his lips.

"Whatever the case, it takes time," he said coolly. "The Impure World Reincarnation Technique—such a powerful jutsu—is incredibly difficult to perfect. Even for me."

"It’s no small task to refine it to its peak state."

The masked man snorted coldly.

Orochimaru had already backed down. There was no point pressing the issue further.

Not when he still needed the man.

What happened to Orochimaru afterward would depend entirely on his performance.

And so, another seven or eight days passed.

Then, finally, there was movement.

Orochimaru had completed the technique.

The masked man rushed to witness it firsthand.

When the other Akatsuki members caught wind of this, they too wanted to watch. But he stopped them.

He couldn’t allow them to see what was about to happen.

Among the resurrected was the real Uchiha Madara.

If the Akatsuki witnessed Madara’s return—if they saw the real thing—then how could he, the imposter claiming Madara’s name, possibly continue his ruse?

He’d be exposed on the spot.

That was the real reason he barred them from attending.

Only he would see this.

He arrived at Orochimaru’s lab.

Orochimaru had been waiting.

He wasn’t sure what would happen once Uchiha Madara was resurrected. No one was.

He had already brought back the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju—once known as the God of Shinobi.

But back then, Hashirama’s strength had been limited to that of a typical Kage.

Now, Uchiha Madara would return in his prime.

The difference between the two was massive.

Which meant Orochimaru needed someone powerful by his side—just in case something went wrong.

The masked man stood by silently.

Orochimaru began the ritual.

A burst of chakra erupted through the cave.

Two White Zetsu bodies, laid out on the ground, began to twist and shift.

Little by little, they transformed—one into Uchiha Madara, the other into Hashirama Senju.

Their features became clearer, more defined.

Every second, they grew more lifelike. More alive.

The masked man’s eye trembled.

Even he couldn’t contain the flicker of emotion.

These were not just legends. They were the men who had shaped the shinobi world.

And Uchiha Madara—Madara had shaped him.

If not for Madara, he would never have walked this path.

The Akatsuki... the tailed beasts... the entire Moon’s Eye Plan...

All of it had been laid out by Madara, step by step.

In the original plan, he was supposed to gather the tailed beasts, then have Nagato use the Outer Path: Samsara of Heavenly Life Technique to resurrect Madara.

That was Madara’s grand vision.

But the masked man refused to be anyone’s pawn.

He liked being in control. He needed to be in control.

If Madara had used him as a tool, then he would use Madara in return.

Their relationship was never one-sided. It was mutually beneficial.

Madara sought to realize his dream. And the masked man? He sought power—and a way to forge his own path.

So in his version of the plan, Madara’s revival was never part of it.

Because Madara was too dangerous.

His strength, his cunning—everything about him was terrifying.

But now, because of Uchiha Haru, he had no choice.

He needed Madara.

Even if it meant using Edo Tensei to bring him back.

Uchiha Haru’s power had grown beyond what he could control.

He needed another monster to fight the monster.

And not just any powerhouse. A true legend.

There were only two men in the history of the shinobi world worthy of that title: Uchiha Madara and the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju.

Everyone else was far beneath them.

But Hashirama—he was too noble. As the First Hokage, his ideals clashed completely with their vision. Even in death, he wouldn’t bend to their cause.

Even resurrected through Edo Tensei, he would serve only as a tool—a puppet of muscle, nothing more.

Uchiha Madara, though... Madara shared their philosophy.

Their goals aligned.

The masked man believed Madara would join him again, willingly.

Together, they could find a way to defeat Uchiha Haru.

Yes... he needed Madara.

Still, as he watched the White Zetsu’s body morph into that familiar figure, he felt uneasy.

Uchiha Madara left a mark that ran deep.

So deep that even now, just seeing his form awaken made the masked man’s heart pound.

The process continued.

The transformation accelerated.

Their faces became fully formed. Their auras grew potent—dangerous.

The chakra radiating from them was dense. Ancient. Suffocating.

And then—

Both Uchiha Madara and Hashirama Senju opened their eyes at the same time.
