Naruto said that to Sakura, but didn't actually know where to find Saul. Konoha was a big place, and even he had to resort to tailing Sakura with a shadow clone to figure out how to find her. He was unable to find Saul the next day as well, and then he was bogged by a bunch of missions for the rest of that week.

Imagine Naruto's surprise when he went out the next weekend to go out and look for Saul again, only to be found by him instead!

The veins around Hinata's eyes retracted back into place. "Right here, Saul kun."

"Saul! You bastard!"

Naruto ran in and gave him a hug. Hinata watched with dark eyes.

"Hey Naruto. How'd things go with Sakura?"

The blonde pulled back, and Hinata immediately hugged Saul's arm herself, holding it tightly. Naruto missed the small interaction. He spoke in a loud voice, looking aggrieved.

"You tricked me! You said that if I followed your advice that I could get into a relationship with Sakura-chan!"

Saul shook his head.

"That girl only has eyes for Sasuke, can't you see? I specifically remember stating only that 'you could improve your relationship with Sakura', not that you could get into a relationship with her. Unless something happened like Sasuke dying or fully betraying the village, she'd never give up."

Naruto got even more angry. "So you already knew from the start! Why didn't you tell me!?"

Well first off, Saul doubted Naruto would have 'taught' him the shadow clone jutsu if he had to argue with him.

After all, "Naruto, you wouldn't have ever believed me if I told you from the start, right? Plus you can't say I didn't help you. I presume you were finally able to actually speak with her?"

"Yea. But you still owe me! And I'm cashing in on my favor, right now!"

Saul, curious, leaned in slightly. "What would you want from someone like me, Naruto?"

"Well..."

Saul interrupted, "While you gather your thoughts, I actually wanted to teach you something, Naruto. Would you mind following me to Team 8's training grounds?

The blonde was easily distracted. It seemed he really didn't want to even think about what he was about to say.

"Your team gets a training ground all to themselves!? Kakashi sensei only ever got one when he was giving us the graduation exam."

Oh my lord. Did Naruto even get to train? He didn't even know that every Jonin-Genin team got free access to the training grounds for their entire first year! What was Kakashi doing!?

"Naruto... Every team has their own training ground. Just like team eight, team seven was given exclusive access to the seventh section grounds for their first year, free. You can go there and train any time you want."

"Really? That's awesome! I have so many things to practice, even just yesterday I came up with a sick idea while doing one of those boring D-rank missions. Wanna see?"

Saul took him into the training grounds along with Hinata. "Sure, show me why not."

"We'll have to spar though!" Naruto exclaimed, already itching for a fight. "Otherwise you won't be able to actually figure out how it works!"

Saul supposed he'd put off showing Naruto the body flicker jutsu until a little while later.

"Alright, but be warned, I won't go easy on you."

"Neither will I! Believe it!"

The two stood around a five meter distance away from each other inside the forested area of the training grounds. They had wanted to start their battle as true ninja, rather than the purely Taijutsu focused spars they did in the academy. Hinata was the referee.

"Good luck Saul-kun and Naruto-san! S-start!"

Naruto immediately rushed in, while Saul moved behind a tree.

"Are you scared, Saul-sensei!"

Naruto leaped at where he was hiding courageously but then frowned... No one? He heard the sound of air rushing from above and immediately punched upwards! Naruto's raw strength was monstrous. As the main bloodline descendant of the Uzumaki and Senju and reincarnation of the legendary heir to the Sage of Six Paths, Asura, even early on his power was enough to push back Jonin! That was without much training!

His fist slammed into the descending Saul before the glowing green palm could touch him, and it dispersed. A shadow clone!? Oh yea!

"If you can make Shadow clones, so can I! Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

A bunch of Naruto clones started materializing into existence around him, but right at that moment Naruto felt a kick hit him in his side, while he was still focused on casting the Jutsu! He fell onto the ground, rolled, and stood back up while his clones furiously mobbed the Saul who had kicked him. That clone dispelled, but Naruto was still angry. He clutched his side.

"Hey! This is not fair! Stop hiding, coward! Fight me!"

Saul's voice echoed throughout the trees. "Why would I fight fair? That could have been a Kunai rather than a kick if I wanted..."

"Bastard!"

Naruto created even more clones while now vigilant, flooding the forest with tens, even hundreds. If Saul was going to hide he'd flush him out! The Naruto clones all ran out angrily within the forest as a sphere outwards from him. Jumping through the trees, slashing down bushes, scanning every nook and cranny. It wouldn't be long before -

Suddenly 5 Saul's appeared around the Naruto in the center. It was almost as if they... teleported! Naruto was shocked! Two Saul's grabbed his arms, two Saul's grabbed his legs, and the last one pressed a glowing palm to his stomach.

"Mind-body Palm!"

The immobilized Naruto passed out from the Genjutsu, but then all the Naruto clones turned around to look at him. Then the Naruto's started laughing.

Saul knew that if he had gotten the original... All the clones should have been dispelled.

"Ha! I knew that would work! Finally outsmarted you, huh? Take this!"

One Naruto took out a Fuma shiruken, a massive shiruken that was as big as the human body. It had four massive black metal blades, each as sharp as a scythe. He grabbed it, spun it rapidly, and tossed it out directly at him! Saul smirked. Ah... So this is what Naruto wanted to show him.

The Saul clones took out kunai to deflect the incoming shiruken.

"Ah!"

"Wait!"

"No!"

All the Naruto's started panicking. The shiruken itself turned back into the real Naruto, screaming as he was instead caught by the group of Saul's.

"Naruto... Didn't you think I might deflect a weapon like that with my kunai? Why would you turn yourself into a shuriken for an attack? Isn't that just asking to get yourself killed?"

"Hehehe... Well you see, I thought it would work as a good surprise attack if you dodged instead. Then I'd transform back and be able to attack you from behind."

Saul deadpanned, "Or... You could get a real Fuma shiruken and then make shadow clones... It would be copied, right? Wouldn't you be able to throw hundreds of those giant shuriken at once from every angle? That would be much better, right?"

Naruto's mouth was just hanging wide open. "You're so smart Saul-sensei! Why didn't I think of that!?"

Saul didn't want to fight Naruto again after that. Even though he had won due to Naruto's own stupidity, the guy literally was the worst matchup for him. He was way stronger than him physically, had stupidly strong regeneration capabilities, had a simply ridiculous amount of chakra, and with the idea he'd just given Naruto he couldn't see how it'd even be possible to win if he didn't get lucky. Not to mention dangerous. The 'genin' might even actually end up accidentally killing him if he wasn't careful.

Saul smiled with sweat sliding down his forehead, "Yeah... Naruto, enough sparring for now. Didn't you want to learn a new jutsu?"

"Of course Saul-sensei!"

"Keep those clones out, you can practice with them all at once. For now I'll teach you the body flicker jutsu..."

He tailored the teaching to Naruto specifically, having each clone only memorize a single Tenketsu point to use for the jutsu. Once the clones all merged back together, Naruto then created even more to continuously practice the hand sign, the circulation, and the tenketsu points all together.

Even under the Nine-Tail's negative influence, Naruto learned at a speed that was really just ridiculous. It already seemed as if he'd succeed in casting the jutsu within just a few hours! Saul was jealous.

Naruto? Naruto was on cloud nine. He'd already learned more from Saul in minutes than he had from Kakashi in weeks! All the Jonin seemed to care about was teamwork, teamwork, teamwork. He could make 1000 clones at once! Why would he need to worry about constantly working with Sasuke, who wanted to do everything on his own, or Sakura, who couldn't even keep up at all! Actually, maybe that was a bit too far for Sakura. She was trying her best after all...

"Saul-sensei... About Sakura-chan. Can you please give her some advice on how to go after Sasuke? Even if it's not with me, I at least... I want to see her happy. Please? I'll owe you one."
