Snapping his eyes open, Kazuo practically jumped out of his bed, looking around, he found himself back on his bed inside his house.

‘It’s the start of the day once more, not two days earlier. This means the cycle was started from here, this is better than if it had been a two-day cycle. Yesterday doesn’t really matter.’ Kazuo thought to himself as he quickly started getting ready, putting on his combat gear as he usually did before every mission, before putting on another cloak on top so that he looked like he was wearing regular civilian clothing.

‘Alright, the plan is simple, this time I’ll simply use my paper illusion to head past the ninja of the Uchiha clan and copy the inscription on the tablet. The root base is still only around thirty percent completed in exploration, so that will have to continue and I'll even add the clone I used at the Hokage tower right from the start.’ Kazuo thought quickly as he sat down on the tatami in his office.

‘The next part is survival against that guy, I could simply leave the village however after I’ve thought it through, Minato’s survival is crucial if I want to gain as many benefits as possible in the future, Sarutobi is too much of a fox. I have three main objectives during this night.’ Kazuo thought as he took a slow deep breath before releasing it as a soft sigh.

‘Surviving the Masked Ninja, The Survival of Minato Namikaze and the Death of Danzo Shimura. Sarutobi would be a nice addition to the death count however it would be close to impossible… or would it.’ Kazuo thought as his expression twitched slightly, his lips just so slightly tilting upwards.

‘I have to complete all of this within fifty turns if I wish to claim the rewards of the mission, that means I don’t have infinite amounts of tries as I had against Kakuzu.’ Kazuo thought to himself before getting up from the tatami mat and starting to walk outside.

‘There’s also the fact that I wish to gain an even better standing with Saori, However, that should be easy enough to do, I already know the location where the nine tails will appear in the village, and I could easily use my body flicker to save her just before she dies, that should work even if it's not perfect. The impact should still be there.’ Kazuo thought to himself as he looked outside the window at the sun that was rising up from the horizon.

‘Let’s do this.’ Kazuo thought as his usual poker face finally broke, revealing a smile on his face.

Nightime quickly approached as Kazuo repeated the exact motions he had done yesterday until that point, going out with Saori, walking around, and bringing her exactly to the spot where the nine tails would appear and cause the most chaos.

‘Two minutes left.’ Kazuo thought to himself as his hand reflexively moved towards his wrist where he had his entire weaponry sealed.

“What’s wrong?” Saori asked curiously though her tone as always was almost completely emotionless as she turned to look at Kazuo.

“A bad premonition,” Kazuo said softly as he looked around, acting perfectly as he twitched his right hand just so slightly, whilst starting to sweat slightly on his forehead.

“Bad premonition ?” Saori mumbled as she instantly put on a more guarded stance.

It was a few moments later that it finally happened, the masked man appeared right at the edge of Kazuo’s vision and slammed his hand on the ground, a large number of seals appearing on the ground, covering it completely in a circle before a large plume of smoke appeared, covering almost the entire district of the village.

For a moment, the entire village was quiet, dead silent, it was like even the wildlife surrounding the village and the insects themselves had stopped.

And then it hit a wild feral roar that shook the very earth and air, causing the smoke to quickly dissipate and reveal it.

A giant orange fox with nine tails that were quickly slamming toward the ground and the houses and buildings around it.

One of these tails was heading straight towards Saori who was frozen, her byakugan activated on pure instinct causing her to see the malevolent chakra clearly, making her body stop and freeze.

Kazuo instantly moved, grabbing her waist whilst at the same time creating two pairs of paper angel wings on his back using paper slips that he had hidden under his clothes, with a quick flap of all four wings, he instantly disappeared from the location and reappeared tens of meters away in the air, however, he didn't stop as he continued moving away at high speeds, only stopping when he arrived at his previous location in the last turn, setting Saori down on the small balcony of the building.

“Seems like the Ninetails has broken out of the jinchuriki, I’ll go and see what I can do to help, you stay back,” Kazuo said, his voice cold as he turned away from Saori to gaze at the beast.

“I’ll come with,” Saori said almost instantly however Kazuo merely raised a palm towards her.

“No, you’re nowhere near strong enough, you would just be killing yourself for nothing, Don't waste village resources and frankly, I don't want my wife to die for no reason,” Kazuo replied as he turned and gave her a soft smile, his eyes warm as he looked at her.

Meanwhile, his thoughts were utterly cold, his inner expression was one of boredom as he looked at her.

‘I’ve been investigating the Hyuga clan from the inside, gathering more information whilst staying as silent about it as possible and the only use these guys have is for the tenseigan, otherwise, they’re just a useless clan.’ Kazuo thought to himself as he channeled his chakra and flapped his wings, instantly causing a gust of wind as he flew into the air toward the Nine Tails.

‘I’ll have to at least look like I’m participating in the battle.’ Kazuo thought whilst at the same time making three paper clones that quickly headed to their own destinations.

One of them headed towards the Uchiha District, heading towards the Naka Shrine once more whilst the other two headed towards the Root base.

‘Last time, I covered around 30% of the entire Root base with one clone before I died, this time with two I should be able to cover around 60% more, if im a bit lucky, I’ll be able to find what I want.’ Kazuo thought coldly as he arrived close to the nine tails. Already seeing hundreds of shinobi launching jutsu toward it.

‘Alright nine tails… shall we try some boom boom?’ Kazuo thought as a wide grin appeared on his face.
