Today’s breakfast happens to be quite simple, and I haven’t seen my sister since she went to the second floor yesterday, but as I have to make a part for Kanade-san as well, for three people in total, therefore I make it more than I usually do.

    I haven’t seen Kanade in a long time, and therefore a bit unknown about her favorite type of food. I just wish that she would eat my made food deliciously.

    But, if she says that it tastes bad, I’ll probably want to retire from cooking completely.

    But since Onee-chan likes my cooking, I want to believe that it’s rather on the safer side.

    Kanade doesn’t seem to come down from the second floor even now, I wonder what she is doing?

    I just hope she is not rummaging through my belongings in my room.

    I’ve hidden my forbidden fruit in a place that only I can think of, so I want to believe it’s completely okay. But if she were to find it out, I might get into big trouble.

    Instead, I wonder which high school Kanade attends to?

    Since it shouldn’t be the same high school as me, there’s a possibility that the time we go to our school might be different.

    “Good morning Sorata.”

    Onee-chan was here.

    “Good morning, Onee-ch… Yuina.”

    “Sorata; this might be all of a sudden, but has the girl from yesterday left for her home yet?”

    “Are you perhaps talking about Kanade? If it’s her, she should be in my room…”

    *bang

    I felt a loud dull sound of a door being closed up fast, as if like a drum.

    And when I realized it, Onee-chan had already disappeared from my line of sight.

    Breakfast was ready. But there was not even a shadow of both coming down. I wonder what the two of them are doing.

    It’s slowly getting into a bad time when we might have to hurry and leave the house soon for school. I tried calling them by their names once. However, there was no response.

    “I guess it can’t help it”

    I wrote a letter and started preparing to leave for school.

    I can go to call them, but I would dare not instead.

    I change into my school uniform; brush my teeth, and lightly groom my hair and my appearance completing my preparations.

    Our high school has a reputation for cool uniforms for boys and cute ones for girls, so when I usually change into my school clothes, I usually get into a good mood.

    Those two are still unlikely to come down.

    I guess I will, just for one last time.

    “Kanade, Yuina. WAKE UPーー!.”

    I shouted out their name as loudly as I could, but there was no response even then.

    Giving up, I slowly go and put on my shoes.

    My feet get passed into the shoe heel and it fits perfectly.

    I whisper in “Ittekimasu” before I went to leave the house, slowly unlocking the door, and leave the house.

    The scenery outside was nothing different, the same as usual. However today I felt a slight chill for some reason.

    When I suddenly started walking away from the house towards school, the chill I felt when I left the house from behind hit me again, greater.

    The feeling was clearly lower than before, and as I felt, the feeling of fear wells in slowly.

    Something in me felt whispering to me, saying, run away.

    I try to run, however

    *Bam

    Someone’s hand got heavily placed on one of my shoulders, making a dull noise.

    I slowly suppress my fear and turn around.

    “Long time no see, Sorata-kun”

    “M-Mai-san?”

    Standing there was a slender Mai-san who looked somehow different from before.
