CHAPTER 365: MAGICAL WEAPON

"Finally!" Lukas howled in joy, sprinting into the forest as soon as the guild master called their group.

"I’ve been waiting for this day to come!" Zuyo exclaimed, running to the forest and following in Lukas’ trail, not bothering to stop when the guild master called out to them.

"Stop, you two!" Mr. Covez screamed, holding his hand out in an attempt to stop them.

"Let them be, guild master." Yura said, walking over to him and walking past him. "They won’t leave us and will probably wait for us up ahead."

"Zuyo won’t last long without Julian so he might run back—" Myra was about to finish her sentence, but she was cut off at the sight of Zuyo running back with a panicked stricken face, proving her right.

"Julian!" Zuyo called, his face pale.

Julian nodded his head towards Zuyo, his hot pink colored hair bobbing up and down in the process, making him look cute despite the blank expression on his face.

"Well, that was disrespectful of them—" Mr. Covez started, but he was cut off by Greinzer walking past him.

"That’s so disrespectful of you all!" The guild master exclaimed, pointing an accusing finger towards Greinzer, Coco, and Myra who all walked past him without a glance.

"Just ignore him." Greinzer told them, leading the girls and Julian towards Zuyo.

"Sorry! I got too excited and ran here without you!" Zuyo apologized to Julian as soon as they reached him, his face contorting into a guilty expression.

"It’s okay." Julian mumbled, voice barely a whisper.

"Where’s Lukas?" Coco asked Zuyo, making the long haired man turn his attention away from Julian to look at Coco.

"He’s right up ahead— he’s right there!" Zuyo cut himself in the middle of his sentence when he spotted the golden haired man standing beside the path they will take, his arms crossed and an inpatient look on his face.

Then, when they met up with Lukas, who were quite upset that all of them were walking so slow, their journey began.

The sun filtered through the trees, casting moving shadows on the ground as Coco moved through the forest alongside her team.

The air was crisp and cool, the faint sound of birds chirping providing a soothing backdrop, along with the earthy scent of the forest that filled her nostrils as they walked, each step bringing them deeper into the area they were assigned to give Coco some peace.

The tall trees seemed to stand guard over their path, their branches forming a natural shield above them.

The group around Coco was engaged in a conversation she wasn’t quite sure what was about, their voices a steady hum of chatter, and Coco remained quiet throughout the journey, her attention focused on stroking Konoha’s fur.

Ten minutes of walking, Coco grew slightly antsy and decided to carry Konoha.

Of course, the feline didn’t fight back and instead, made herself comfortable on her master’s arms by nuzzling her head on Coco’s chest.

Coco, in return, automatically glided her fingers through the velvety softness of the cat’s fur— the rhythm of the movement soothing her nerves a little and calming her bearing heart.

Her gaze flickered briefly over her teammates, taking in their animated banter before returning to the comforting presence of her companion, just minding her business.

As the group continued their journey towards their designated area, an ominous rustling sound caught their attention and before anyone could react, something lunged out from the trees.

Greinzer’s quick reflexes kicked in.

He drew his weapon— a gun, at lightning speed, the weapon emitting a soft glow as he aimed and fired.

The shot connected, swiftly bringing down whatever was hiding in the trees and disrupting the peace they have a moment ago.

The sudden attack, the unexpected appearance of the monster, and the supernatural nature of the weapon all left the group on high alert, their senses heightened and their guard now raised.

However, the others froze, their eyes widening at the sight of the fallen creature lying motionless on the ground.

"We’re not even there yet." Lukas was the first one to speak up, his face slowly brightening up as he continued to stare at the dead poison tiger before him. "But there’s already monsters attacking us."

"Lukas." Greinzer called, his voice deep with warning.

"I won’t— at least not yet." Lukas assured his instructor, an excited grin emerging in his face.

"Don’t do anything that will put everyone in danger." The high ranking hunter grunted out, slipping his magical gun inside of its holster by his hip, turning away from the group and resuming his walk.

"No promises, sir." Lukas chuckled, rolling his shoulders in an attempt to shake off the excitement he was currently feeling.

Coco, amidst the conversation between the two, stared in awe at the gun on Greinzer’s hip, his eyes twinkling with wonder— the brief moment of the gun shining, loading its magical bullet, and firing towards the monster was now etched on Coco’s mind.

She was curious when his name was first uttered by the molesters back in Yogusho Village’s little jail because of the gun, but now that she saw it in action, it was quite a sight.

Sure, the man may have creeped her out because he kept looking at her, but the look in his eyes was far from the look she receives from the people around her and more like a look of curiosity.

A magical gun.. Fascinating. Coco thought, quickly falling in line behind her teammates and the other team, her gaze glued on Greinzer’s gun.

A lot of questions ran through Coco’s mind, but what stood out the most was about the bullets of the gun.

However, before she could get the chance to ask questions about the weapon, all of them arrived at their destination and before them was an open space that was located deep in the forest.

Coco opened her mouth to speak, but she was caught off guard by something lunging forward towards her.
