CHAPTER 470: GOLETER [2]

Coco stood her ground, a small smile playing at the corner of her lips as she assumed a fighting stance.

"Surrender now, or I’ll give you more of a beating than you can handle." She said with an almost casual tone, her gaze locked unflinchingly with that of the goleter.

The monster’s eyes narrowed, its arrogance and anger flaring as it bristled at the woman’s words— it let out another low growl, its rocky arms tensing as it prepared to lunge at her with all its might.

Now, Coco was well aware of her own limitations, but she also knew that when push came to shove, she would push past them if necessary to complete a given task.

Nothing would stop her from accomplishing her goal, not even the risk of overexertion.

The goleter rose to his feet, his growling voice booming through the air. "You dare to speak as if you possess the power to defeat a king beast like me? You, a puny human, a mere ant compared to my strength and might."

The creature’s words carried a haughty arrogance, as if it saw Coco as nothing more than an annoying insect to swat aside and maybe it does by the way its eyes glowed red with fury.

Coco surged forward, not hesitating for a moment as she propelled herself towards the goleter with reckless abandon.

She didn’t care that she was charging directly into danger, her eyes locked on the monstrous creature before her as she closed the distance in a blur of movement.

Without a hint of hesitation she darted towards the goleter, her focus fully on launching a direct assault, disregarding any concerns for her own safety.

Coco’s fist connected with the goleter’s rocky form, her gloved hand impacting with a loud thump, but before her blow could fully land, the monster simultaneously retaliated, its own fist crashing into her body with a tremendous force.

The impact sent a shudder through the air as their blows collided, a shockwave of energy rippling out from the point of contact.

Coco grunted from the pain, her body jolting from the force of the goleter’s counterattack.

"Coco!" Lala’s shrill scream of concern echoed through the air, but Coco quickly shook off the distraction, refocusing her mind and preparing to follow through with her strike.

A fierce expression set upon her face as she seized the opportunity presented to her by the goleter’s stumble.

Acting without hesitation, she launched a powerful blow at the monster’s leg, aiming for the large, stone limb that was very much exposed to her.

The impact landed with precision, causing the goleter to stagger and falter as it struggled to maintain its balance.

The goleter crashed to the ground, the impact causing the earth to shake and before it could regain its footing, Coco seized the opportunity.

She grabbed the creature by its massive foot and began spinning, using the momentum of her movement to swing it around with dizzying force, causing the goleter’s body to careen through the air, its form forming a blur as it was whipped around by Coco’s spinning maneuver.

"You human!" It let out a guttural growl of protest, struggling to break free from her grip.

Coco continued her spinning motion, increasing her speed as she held onto the goleter’s foot, then she put all her might into the movement, the spin becoming more and more violent with each passing second.

Finally, with a powerful heave, she flung the goleter upward, releasing her grip and propelling it skyward.

The goleter’s large form rose into the air, carried by the centrifugal force of the spin, its body twisting and turning as it soared through the sky, rising higher and higher above the treetops.

The goleter’s voice rang out through the air, its bellowing cry filled with disbelief and frustration as it ascended higher. "You human! Why are you so powerful?! How can you defy a king beast like me with such strength?!"

Fear and helplessness tinged the creature’s voice, his confidence shattered by Coco’s unexpected display of strength.

The goleter struggled against the spinning force that held him captive, his large body flailing helplessly in the air.

Coco stood below, huffing and panting heavily, her vision swimming from the dizzying effects of spinning the goleter as her body trembled slightly, the adrenaline slowly subsiding.

Her heart pounded loudly in her ears, the intensity of what she had done leaving her breathless.

Despite the weariness coursing through her veins, a sense of accomplishment lingered— she had managed to gain the upper hand over the goleter, using her form to her advantage.

I’m smaller so I’m faster. Coco thought, a small smile breaking out on her face.

As the goleter’s form spiraled through the air, his voice continued to echo below. "You will regret this, you foolish human! You may have gotten the better of me this time, but I will not be defeated so easily! When I regain my bearings, I will crush you with my full might next time—"

The goleter’s words got cut off when a sudden glow enveloped his form then, he began a rapid descent, plummeting towards the ground like a comet.

Coco gasped in surprise, her eyes widening at the sight of the goleter hurtling toward her.

Instinctively, she leapt out of the way, her reflexes sharp as she evaded the path of the falling beast.

The goleter’s radiant form crashed into the ground with a resounding boom, the impact creating a deep, circular dent in the earth.

The force of the collision sent tremors vibrating through the ground, and the surrounding trees shook with the violent shockwave— Coco quickly covered her face with her arms because the force sent dust and debrises flying around the place.

The dust slowly settled, gradually clearing the air.

She lowered her arm and saw a sight that left Coco speechless because to her surprise, there stood a miniature version of the goleter— a replica that barely reached her knees.
