CHAPTER 535: FIGHT

"What was your intention for sleeping with Coco, Alhai?" Zaque asked as he entered the kitchen, his eyes narrowing into a glare.

Coco had just run out of the house after Quizen screamed his feelings out.

Zaque tried to chase after her, but she was too fast for his own good and could only watch her disappear in the distance.

Quizen ended up running out of the house to chase after Coco as well, but by the time Zaque got out, the blue haired mediator was nowhere to be found and the possible location Zaque could think of where Quizen might be at was his workplace.

Torn between confusion and frustration, Zaque stomped back inside the house.

As soon as he got inside, he made a beeline to the kitchen and quickly bombarded Alhai with questions, slightly seething with the information he just received earlier.

"Did you seduce her? Is that what you did?" The first husband added to his previous questions, not letting the third husband have time to answer his questions. "Why would you sleep with our wife without letting us know first, Alhai?"

Alhai glanced at the clock and didn’t answer Zaque’s question right away.

"Is that why Konoha was with me last night? It was because you were in her room?" Zaque continued asking, his eyebrows creasing together in irritation which made the magical cat sitting by Alhai’s foot let out a mewl.

Zaque flinched and looked at Konoha. "I’m not saying that you’re not welcome to sleep in my room, child, but I can’t accept it when that was the reason!"

"Meow." Konoha mewled again, standing up from her spot on the floor and stretching before strutting her way out of the kitchen.

"Hey!" Zaque followed the cat’s movement and when she walked past the doorway, he peaked his head out. "I’m serious, Konoha! I love you and all, but I don’t want you to sleep in my room if it means giving Coco some alone time with anyone!"

Alhai snorted at that and rolled his eyes. "Coco asked me if I wanted to. I didn’t seduce her."

Zaque quickly brought his head inside the room and whisked his attention to the silver haired mediator. "That’s impossible! Coco is not that crude to be asking any one of us to sleep with her just like that."

It was the monster stone’s turn to snort this time.

The two mediators turned to Richard who was busy washing the dishes, the two of them frowning at the sound that left his lips.

"What’s so funny?" Zaque growled, glaring at the goleter’s back.

"You’re saying that puny human isn’t crude? That simply means that you do not know her well enough." Richard said with a scoff, scrubbing a certain grease off a bowl. "I haven’t known her for that long, but even I know that her mind can go deeper than a cave."

".. What is that supposed to mean?" Alhai asked, blinking in surprise at the implications the monster had made.

"From what I have heard so far, all of you know her origins." Richard stated with a matter of fact tone. "Outlanders like her.. Well, they can be wild, instinctual, rough, and can go on for who knows how long."

Alhai scoffed. "Wild? Rough? She was far from that, Richa—"

However, Alhai stopped talking when the memories of last night flooded his mind like waves crashing against the shore— it was so sudden that it made his face light up with a pinkish hue.

Alhai may have taken the lead at the start, took her over and over, but it was Coco who finished their little fun.

If it weren’t for Coco calling it quits and telling me to rest.. I think I would have passed out. Alhai thought, taking a long and quiet sip from his teacup, with his heart beating so fast he bet that Richard could hear them.

One thing is for sure, Richard knows what he’s talking about and it irked him.

"That cut off tells me everything, human." Richard retorted with a smug smirk as he glanced towards Alhai over his shoulder. "She’s not the first human I have encountered and I’m quite sure she won’t be the last—"

"Hold on!" Zaque interrupted the conversation with a loud scream. "Why are you two speaking like I’m not here?! I’m still talking to you, Alhai!"

Alhai scowled. "I’m telling you that I didn’t seduce her! She’s the one who came to me! I don’t want to refuse because why would I?! I’m not a madman who would refuse to sleep with the person he loves!"

"Oh, so now you’re telling me that you love her?" Zaque growled and stalked over to Alhai. "Did you say that to her before you slept with her?"

"I’m done here." Richard spoke up amidst the brewing argument between the two and made his way to the door. "If one of you needs me, just shout and I’ll be here as fast as possible."

Of course, the mediators were too deep into their yelling match that they failed to hear Richard.

Richard only let out a sigh and shook his head. "Humans.. They’re so complicated with these things they call emotions."

The goleter slowly made his way back to the basement of the house, which was the only location in the house he was most comfortable with— and Coco’s room, but he won’t admit it out loud.

However, as he descended the basement stairs, a loud ping shot through the back of his mind.

"Agh!" Richard groaned in pain, clutching his head.

He felt suffocated for a moment so he scrambled to get fresh air, causing him to stumble out of the basement and land hastily on the floor of the hall.

Before he could register what happened to him, he was already sprinting towards the front door.

This feeling only means one thing! Richard thought as he burst out of the house, leaving the frilly pink apron on the ground.

Another king beast is around!
