CHAPTER 211: CHAPTER 209: DON’T TOUCH ME [4 UPDATES]
Maya Spencer listened to the man’s question, nonchalantly took his hand away, and said, "You’re thinking too much, I just find you annoying, always hovering in front of me."
"You say one thing but mean another!" he said, then pinched her chin and kissed her lips with a smile.
Then, with a swift move, he jumped from behind the sofa to in front of her and said, "Sleep with me."
Maya heard the man’s words, suddenly retreated, keeping a certain distance from him, crossed her arms over her chest, and looked very defensive.
Afterwards, she swallowed a mouthful of saliva,
"Pfft!" Liam Spencer couldn’t help but burst out laughing at her excuse.
After laughing, he extended his right hand and grabbed her ankle,
"You rogue!" Maya struggled free and kicked him.
Liam, seeing her playful look, grabbed her little foot again, kissed it, and said, "Be good, stop watching TV, I really want to sleep."
These past few nights, he slept extraordinarily well holding Maya.
And it had basically become a habit; he couldn’t sleep without holding onto her.
"Swear it," Maya didn’t trust him at all!
"Alright, alright! I swear."
It wasn’t until she confirmed Liam was serious that Maya ran barefoot to the master bedroom.
Liam, seeing her relent, immediately chased after her, scooping her up in a princess carry.
"Don’t touch me, don’t touch me, don’t touch me," came Maya’s shout afterwards.
"Okay, okay! I won’t touch! Won’t touch!" he said as he tossed her onto the large bed.
Then, with a swoosh, he pounced on her, holding her tightly in his arms, kissed her cheek, gently closed his eyes, and fell asleep.
Maya saw he was behaving and didn’t shout or struggle, but instead gently closed her eyes and went to sleep.
Holding the beauty in his arms, Liam looked at her being so well-behaved, feeling infinitely good.
Ever since his grandfather held that press conference, he clearly felt Maya’s attitude towards him had become much friendlier.
He guessed maybe Aron Hanson put some pressure on her, or perhaps she was pondering what she wanted him to sign next.
But none of that mattered anymore.
What mattered was that she was by his side, and all of this would become a habit.
He would become an indispensable person in her life; she would be unable to live without him.
He believed that one day, she would definitely fall in love with him.
Although every time he thought of the child they lost, his heart still ached.
But watching Maya gradually fall asleep in his arms, his anger subsided.
He knew there would be more children in the future.
This time, he definitely wanted to keep it.
At this moment, Maya, who had been sleeping with her back to him, suddenly turned over, snuggling into his arms, and lifted her left leg to drape over him with a whoosh.
He looked at her actions, a particularly bright smile on his lips, gently extracted his right arm, picked up the thin blanket beside them, and quietly covered her back.
Then, he secretly dropped a kiss on her cheek and gently caressed her back.
Maybe it was because she was too tired today, Maya almost fell asleep instantly once she was on the bed.
Liam took a deep breath, watching her with a full smile on his face.
Today, she was really so good, so good that he was reluctant to close his eyes and sleep.
He really liked this feeling, a feeling of being carefree, without any quarrels.
And today, they agreed on everything.
Liam thought, when they got back tomorrow, he’d have to start preparing for their engagement.
After all, it’s not like they were getting married yet, Maya would surely agree for the bigger picture.
Afterwards, he just needed to strike while the iron was hot, quickly warm up their relationship, and then get married.
Then get this girl to bear him an adorable baby just like her, and his life would be perfect.
Three years ago, he still remembered Maya’s smiling face when she was picking out baby products at a baby store.
And he hadn’t thrown away those things they bought back then; they were still in his apartment, just as they were.
For these years, that baby crib had always been placed by his bedside.
He still remembered she once said to have the baby sleep with him.
But he wanted more—not only the baby to sleep with them, but also for her to sleep with him as well.
Imagining the two of them playing with the baby together, he held the girl tighter.
He kissed her cheek and quietly said, "Maya, I really like you, I really like this feeling."
This was his first time confessing to someone, but unfortunately, Maya was asleep and didn’t hear it.
In the evening, as the sun set, Maya was woken up by stomach cramps, pushed someone aside, and ran to the bathroom.
Even though her movements weren’t big, as soon as she escaped from Liam’s arms, he woke up.
Watching the girl’s hurried figure, he quickly followed behind and asked, "Maya, what’s wrong?"
Maya heard his question, closed the bathroom door with a bang, and said, "Stomachache."
"Did you catch a cold or something?"
"Menstrual cramps."
"..." Someone was speechless.
A moment later, he heard Maya calling him from inside, "Liam!"
"I’m here, I haven’t left," Liam quickly responded.
Maya listened to him and suddenly wanted to laugh.
So she laughed and said, "You’re in such a good mood."
Then she said again, "My period’s here, and I don’t have any pads. Can you call room service to bring some, and I also need my underwear disinfected."
"Okay! Just wait a moment."
Liam said, running off to ask someone for the items.
Annoyingly, the staff said the hotel had just opened and they forgot to stock supplies.
Liam was about to collapse, so he had to go to the resort’s supermarket to buy them.
Even more frustrating, he ran into Christopher Scott, that pesky character, while buying pads.
Laughing so hard he nearly passed out, he even snapped some photos and sent them to Maya, claiming he was asking someone which brand and model she needed.
In the bathroom, Maya looked at someone holding sanitary pads, and burst into a laugh, "Pfft!"
Liam in such a situation was so comical.
Immediately, Christopher sent over some photos, asking what brand she needed.
Maya helplessly shook her head and sent over the brand and model.
When Christopher saw Liam off, he laughed so hard he couldn’t even stand up straight.
Liam looked at his cheeky expression, kicked him, and said, "Wait until Seven returns, then I’ll have you buying pads every day."
Thinking of someone, Christopher could no longer laugh, acted all serious, patted Liam’s shoulder, and said.
"The revolution is not yet a success; comrades need to work hard," Christopher meant that Maya wasn’t pregnant.
Liam listened to his ’encouragement,’ nonchalantly rolled his eyes.
Thinking, Maya just got back a few days ago; if she didn’t get her period, he would be the one crying.
Seeing Liam off, Christopher suddenly wasn’t in a good mood anymore.
That woman had been gone for seven years; it was true to her name; it was time to come back.
What annoyed him more was that she contacted everyone else but didn’t get in touch with him.
In the hotel suite, Liam came back with the pads, opened the bathroom door, watching Maya sneak a laugh on the toilet, and helplessly shook his head.
Looking at someone’s sullen face, Maya laughed even more joyfully.
