CHAPTER 375: CHAPTER 373: CAN’T HANDLE YOU [3RD UPDATE]
So, when she pressed down on Henry Reid’s face, the man unceremoniously threw her down again.
Henry Reid’s sudden assault left Noah Owen stunned, holding her breath in fright.
When she realized Henry Reid was taking advantage of her, she no longer wanted to push him away, and thoughts of the comfortable feeling from that night during the Mid-Autumn Festival flashed through her mind.
She was conflicted, shaken by this exhilarating feeling that weakened her resolve.
Henry Reid’s passion made her both scared and nervous, but in the end, she still reached out, hooked her hands around his neck, and they crashed together.
Meanwhile, at Charlotte Owen’s villa, she clenched her phone, wishing she could crush it.
The girls she had placed around Liam Spencer were completely wiped out in half a day.
When she took the report call just now, she almost exploded in anger. Liam Spencer actually said, in the Owen Clan Group, Maya Spencer has the final say. Although she knew it was just him giving Maya face, sweet-talking her, Charlotte Owen was still unhappy.
She pondered for quite a while in the living room, unable to figure out how to deal with that Little Demon, and finally had to call Aron Hanson.
On the other end of the line, Aron Hanson spoke with a smile, "President Owen, it’s a surprise to receive your call."
"Young Master Hanson, I’m not going to beat around the bush with you. Frankly speaking, I’m calling for Miss Hanson," Charlotte Owen said with some annoyance.
"Maya causing you trouble?" Mentioning Maya Spencer, Aron Hanson was not happy, recalling how she refused to help him with something the last time he asked.
"Young Master Hanson, Maya has no parents; you’re her uncle, practically her parents. But being parents isn’t just about giving her money to spend; education is the most important."
"Maya’s education is fine, no worse than anyone else’s." Although Aron Hanson minded that Maya didn’t help him last time, he naturally had to speak up for her in front of outsiders and wouldn’t let her be criticized.
"Ha! Education? I’ve never seen a girl with such poor manners, disrespectful to elders, and every word she says is barbed. Of course, those aren’t the important issues; the main thing is she has no respect for herself, messing around outside, utterly shameless, and yet you claim her education is fine," Charlotte Owen criticized Maya Spencer without holding back.
"President Owen, this concerns a girl’s reputation. Don’t speak recklessly."
Aron Hanson was clearly unhappy. He knew Maya’s sharp tongue, but he trusted her character. She would never fool around casually and certainly didn’t have the extra time or interest.
"Ha, me speaking recklessly? You had better ask your precious niece yourself if I’m wrong. She admitted herself to making Liam Spencer wear a green hat. Young Master Hanson, if such a girl wants to marry into our Owen Family, it’s never going to happen. I suggest you take her back as soon as possible," Charlotte Owen said, letting out a long breath as if releasing some of the agitation that had built up.
Even though she knew that what she was doing wouldn’t cause much harm to Maya, she still felt somewhat relieved.
However, Aron Hanson’s face was ugly, and he replied coldly, "If what President Owen says is true, I will naturally educate her. If it isn’t true, I hope President Owen will think before speaking in the future."
After saying this, Aron Hanson hung up the phone.
At his desk, he leaned forward, fingers bent, pressing against his lips, frowning and contemplating what Charlotte Owen had just said.
Maya out there messing around? Could it be she’s gotten close to Adrian Clark again?
Thinking about Charlotte Owen’s words, Aron recalled the recent refusal when he asked Maya for help. She had said her relationship with Liam Spencer wasn’t as good as he thought, and Liam wouldn’t help him.
Even if he didn’t believe Charlotte’s complaints, she wouldn’t be so bored as to fabricate Maya’s own admission of making Liam wear a green hat.
So, perhaps there was some truth to Charlotte Owen’s words. Besides, with Maya at such a prime age, it’s not strange for her to like men.
Analyzing it this way, it’s possible that Maya has a boyfriend outside, which upset both Liam and Charlotte, leading her to decline the help she refused last time. Could it be because she doesn’t want to entangle with Liam anymore and wants to choose her own feelings?
Thinking of this, Aron immediately called his assistant and instructed, "Little Taylor, investigate Miss’s social interactions since she returned."
"Got it, President Hanson."
After hanging up, Aron fell into deep thought again. Even though he had no way to replace the Owen Clan Group or have Maya act as a corporate spy, keeping her beside Liam Spencer was the best choice. At least it could bring him closer to the Owen Clan and expand the Hanson Clan.
Thus, he couldn’t let Maya fall in love freely or marry any man other than Liam Spencer.
...
Meanwhile, in Liam Spencer’s office, Maya sat on the sofa reading a book, suddenly sneezing.
She rubbed her nose, pouting discontentedly, and complained, "It must be your little aunt cursing me."
Nowadays, besides Charlotte Owen, there wasn’t anyone else who hated her enough to mess with her.
Inside the desk, Liam Spencer listened to her complaint, helplessly smiling, then stood up quickly, grabbed the coat from the side table, walked to Maya’s side, and draped it over her.
Then, he bent down, tilted her chin, and landed a deep kiss on her lips, softly reminding, "It’s autumn, remember to wear a coat."
Listening to his gentle voice, Maya put down the book in her hand, raised her two small hands to gently loop around his neck, blinking her big eyes and staring at him intently.
As Liam looked into the girl’s fiery eyes, he whispered against her lips, flirtatiously, "Keep looking, and I’ll eat you up."
"Pfft!" Maya laughed, looking at Liam’s flirtatiousness.
After laughing, she bit his lips gently and said, "Welcome to taste."
Hearing her bold challenge, Liam swiftly wrapped his arms around her waist, lifting her from the sofa to press her tightly against him, saying, "You little thing, flirting again."
"Haha! Haha! So ticklish!"
"Maya, you’re the one who said it." Seeing her words, Liam picked her up and walked towards the rest room.
Hearing his threat, Maya was afraid and immediately explained, "I was just joking! Besides, it’s your work time now; let’s PK when we get back."
