"Miss Smith, why are you still standing at the company entrance? Sunny has been waiting for you for a long time," Julia Brown urges Sophie Smith as she exits the company building.

"Hey, Miss Smith, who are you talking to?" Julia casts a disdainful glance at Christopher Smith, finding his attire and appearance mismatched with Sophie Smith’s temperament.

"This is my dad." Sophie can clearly see the disdain in Julia’s eyes, but this is absolutely something she does not allow.

"Oh, oh, so it’s Miss Smith’s father. Hello, sir, I’m Julia," Julia quickly adapts, knowing she shouldn’t neglect Sophie Smith’s father.

"Sir, would you like to come into the company for a cup of tea?" Julia asks ingratiatingly.

"Thank you, no need."

Julia doesn’t know about Sophie’s family matters, only sensing a somewhat awkward relationship between the two.

"Little Sophie, dad will leave now. If one day you feel like talking, I would be deeply grateful," Christopher Smith says with a hint of heartache.

After speaking, he turns and leaves, disappearing from Sophie’s sight.

Sophie’s eyes are red, and she stands there, unable to move for a moment.

"Miss Smith, what’s wrong?" Julia calls out to her several times, but she doesn’t respond.

"Sunny called to urge, Miss Smith, can you come inside first?" Julia says somewhat helplessly.
