"Hey, Sophie, back from the romantic trip with President Land?" At some point, Sunny had strutted over in her sky-high heels, a cheerful smile on her face.

"Sunny, I just went with him to Italy for business, not a vacation."

"Really?" Sunny frowned, "Looks like President Land can’t do without you, even for such a big deal he insists on having you by his side!"

That’s not the point, is it?

Sophie shook her head helplessly. Alright then, she had come to realize a fact: everyone in the company believed she was incredibly important to Asher Land, the woman he doted on to the heavens!

"Oh, right, Sophie, there’s a huge celebrity party in S City at nine tonight, remember to attend."

S City? Celebrity party?

What is this about?

"Well, it’s said to be hosted by a wealthy magnate, inviting many prominent figures from the entertainment world. It’s a great way for you to expand your network. It took me a lot of effort to get you an invitation, so don’t let me down."

"But, this is too hasty, I’m not really keen on going."

"Come on, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Do you know how many people I had to ask to get that invitation for you? Just saying you won’t go negates all my hard work, you..."

"Alright, alright, Sunny, I’ll go, okay?" Sophie had no choice but to reluctantly take the invitation.

"I heard the party lasts three days, so have fun. Even if President Land didn’t take you on a romantic trip, you can enjoy yourself and relax."

Sophie knew Sunny was genuinely looking out for her development; she just wanted what was best for her.

"I understand, Sunny."

"Good, have Julia help you get ready. I’ve already booked the flight; it’s at three in the afternoon."

So, under Sunny’s urging, Sophie ended up being rushed onto the plane.

When the plane landed in S City, Sophie suddenly realized, oh no! She forgot to inform Asher Land about her whereabouts!

What should she do now?

She took out her phone to call him and explain, but on his end, there was no answer.

He’s probably busy catching up on a lot of things left at the company during the days he was away, so he doesn’t have the time to take her calls.

Sophie thought about it, then put her phone back in her bag. Never mind, she’s just in S City for work for three days. It doesn’t matter if she doesn’t tell him.

The so-called grand party wouldn’t start until nine in the evening, so Sophie went back to the hotel to get some rest first.

Asher Land listened to various reports, his long fingers continuously flipping through the documents in front of him.

During the meeting discussion, the secretary handed him a cup of coffee.

"President Land, Miss Smith seems to have called you."

While organizing files on his desk, the secretary noticed his phone ringing and saw that it was Sophie calling.

She knew perfectly well who Sophie was to her big boss, but Asher Land had been in meetings, and she didn’t dare interrupt.

Asher Land’s lips curled up in delight. That woman actually took the initiative to call him? Ha, how unexpected.

"Go bring my phone."

The secretary nodded, went back to the office, and brought over his phone.

Sure enough, there was a missed call from her.
