CHAPTER 303: CHAPTER 299: WITHOUT HER, UNACCUSTOMED (PART 1)

Sophie’s delicate face came into his view, and he instinctively pressed her beneath him.

"Asher Land, I want."

Her soft, pliant body faintly rubbed against his firm physique, as she puckered her lips and gazed at him amorously.

"Want? Want what?" he asked knowingly.

"I, I want you." She clung to his neck, covering his lips with hers, as her small hands set his chest ablaze.

"How much do you want?" He smiled wickedly, "Is once enough?"

"Not enough."

"Twice?"

"Not enough."

"Alright, then don’t expect to get out of bed tomorrow."

He removed her nightgown, kissed her sensitive spots, and just as he was about to fulfill this woman’s desire, he found himself grasping at nothing—she had suddenly vanished?

Asher Land leapt up from the bed, his body panting heavily, the tension still in every part of him.

Staring at the empty bedside, he couldn’t help but curse.

Damn! Was he actually having a wet dream???

A trace of discomfort flashed across Asher Land’s face, and he hurried into the bathroom for a cold shower.

It’s only been half a month without seeing her, was he really that desperate?

The cold water splashing from above instantly cleared his mind.

In the vast room, the curtains fluttered in the breeze, Asher Land emerged from the bathroom, lay back on the bed with his hands behind his head, and found himself unable to fall asleep again.

To be honest, it really feels strange without her.

He got up, picked up a cigarette from the desk, and lit it.

This return to Europe was actually out of necessity, the Land Family’s influence is strong, outwardly harmonious, but in reality, not so.

The Golden Era Consortium, set up by the Land Family, is currently helmed by Nathan Land, but underneath, there are two rival factions.

Asher Land has been flourishing in Asia, which makes Enzo Land wary. This return to Europe was his idea; he once warned Nathan Land that Asher harbors ambitions, being a son brought in from ’outside’ with no emotional ties to the Land Family, and could seize power at any moment.

Enzo naturally wishes to suppress Asher, wanting Nathan to recall him to the European Headquarters, to work obediently under their scrutiny, while the position of Executive Director of the Golden Era Consortium Asia Region should be handed over to a more suitable person.

"Good morning, Third Young Master." As soon as Asher Land descended the stairs, a maid greeted him.

"Third Young Master, sir is waiting for you in the West Garden’s dining room."

Asher Land nodded, adjusted his attire, and proceeded to the West Garden.

Even though he’d mentally prepared himself, if someone deliberately made things difficult, this meal could still be quite unsettling.

This was a villa complex, and Asher Land had quite a walk from his bedroom to the dining room.

As he entered the dining room, practically everyone’s gaze turned toward him. Nathan Land sat at the head of the long table, his expression somewhat cold upon seeing Asher enter.

The Land Family is inherently large, and has always adhered to rules; without rules, governance would be impossible.
