The Land Family is inherently large, and has always functioned based on rules; without rules, it would be difficult to manage.

Take breakfast, for example: everyone must arrive at the dining room at the specified time, sit properly, and only when everyone is present will the meal begin.

Nathan Land holds a typical traditional mindset, conservative and stubborn, so Asher Land’s tardiness naturally displeased him.

Asher Land didn’t care much about the others’ gazes, he just pulled out a chair and sat down directly.

"Third Young Master Land, by doing this, aren’t you disregarding your elder brother?" Enzo Land snorted coldly. "You’ve been in Asia for so long, have you forgotten the rules here?"

"Uncle, don’t lecture me about rules. Isn’t it against the rules for you and Ms. Williams to sit so closely together?"

Asher’s words carried a hint of sarcasm. The Ms. Williams he mentioned was Nathan Land’s fourth wife, Amelia Williams. Amelia was not yet forty, with an age gap of over twenty years with Nathan. She had followed Nathan from a young age, yet secretly had an illicit affair with Enzo Land. Enzo had a wife who passed away many years ago, so naturally, the two got together; around the time when he was fifteen, Asher had stumbled upon them.

It’s said this woman in matters of intimacy is like a wolf in her thirties, like a tiger in her forties. Nathan’s age gets in the way of satisfying her.

However, he never mentioned this in front of the family; when Asher brought it up vaguely, both Enzo Land and Amelia Williams were startled. Although they were confident their relationship was well-concealed, having their names brought up together by Asher left them a bit panicked.

Enzo Land had no mood to pick on Asher anymore; he was indeed suppressed by what Asher had just hinted.

Asher Land slightly curled his lips, with an unreadable expression in his eyes.

"Asher, I want you to return to headquarters next year to work." Nathan Land didn’t even glance at him, as though he wasn’t discussing with him but merely issuing a command.

"Is this your decision?" Asher hesitated, "Or have you been listening to someone’s slander?"

As he said this, Asher’s gaze unapologetically landed on Enzo Land.

"Yes, father, third brother is doing well in Asia and bringing in substantial profits for Golden Era; you know that. Who else is more qualified for the CEO position of the Asia Region?" Luke Land chimed in.

"Is it your turn to speak?" Nathan Land’s face turned stern, a terrifying expression that made most of the people at the dining table lower their heads in silence.

Luke Land, accustomed to a life of debauchery, was known by all as a playboy who neglected proper duties, thus earning Nathan Land’s disfavor.

Luke kept his head down, eating his meal, internally cursing. Nathan Land was nothing but an autocratic dictator; he couldn’t even tolerate a word of fairness?

"Third Young Master Land, I think you’d better return. After all, you’ve spent so little time with your elder brother that it seems you aren’t even his son. Although, you were picked up from some unknown small place, no matter what, your last name is Land now. We should regard it as a compliment to have you come back to manage family affairs." Enzo Land suddenly blurted out.
