Mahong and Jimmy left the hospital; there's nothing more for them to do here. The rest is up to the forensic department to collect evidence and inspect the scene. They would just be in the way and contribute nothing.

Both Jimmy and Mahong had made gains this time and had taken care of all the gunmen. They ought to be a little happy, but the confirmed deaths of two agents left them with no other feelings than regret.

Mahong regretted not listening to Jimmy and sending more people over or simply calling SWAT to the scene. It might not have ended so tragically.

Jimmy regretted not making clear the dangers here. These two colleagues indirectly lost their lives because of him.

On the way back to the office, Jimmy drove ahead, turning on hidden police lights and siren, leading the way back to the FBI Federal Square office, with Mahong trailing behind, a step slower in activating his lights.

Hughes' office.

Mahong and Jimmy sat in front of Hughes' desk. Hughes was stroking his chin with his right hand.

Hughes: "So, today's events, we expected some problems, but didn't think so many would come, leading to fewer personnel being arranged, is that it?"

Mahong glanced at Jimmy, nodding in admission: "Yes, I underestimated their ruthlessness. I initially thought five people were enough to suppress the average suspect."

Hughes released his chin-stroking hand and waved it, "No, you can't say that. Remember, we were following normal suspect management procedures, and there was no wrongdoing in this."

Mahong nodded: "I understand."

Hughes looked at Jimmy: "Are you sure they're all taken care of?"

Jimmy: "I checked every room. Unless someone hid particularly well, all those who came to the hospital should have been dealt with. But one thing is certain, if they had someone on the outside to assist and never came into the hospital, it's certain we wouldn't catch them."

Hughes: "Are there any known escapees?"

Jimmy: "We'll need to wait until we have all the photos of the people from the scene to confirm with the Poison Snake Gang. Currently, we can be eight or nine percent sure that the female gunman who attacked me on the road is the waitress from the Poison Snake Gang's restaurant."

Hughes raised his hand to signal Jimmy to stop and picked up the desk phone, dialing an internal line: "Ruiz, come to my office."

Ruiz received the call and headed to Hughes' office, with Jimmy and Mahong sitting quietly saying no words.

Soon, Ruiz knocked and entered the office, "What happened?"

Hughes: "The Poison Snake Gang, are you familiar with them?"

Ruiz glanced at Jimmy. He remembered giving Jimmy this gang's information a few days ago: "Yes, I'm aware of them."

Hughes: "I don't want to hear any more about this so-called Poison Snake Gang."

Ruiz: "Anything else?"

Hughes: "Nothing more."

Ruiz nodded, turned around and left Hughes' office, without asking for a reason.

Hughes looked at Mahong: "Write the report for this case as soon as possible."

Mahong nodded without speaking, knowing writing reports is not a problem for someone as experienced as him.

Hughes looked at Jimmy: "I know you have connections; dig them out. Remember, our people can't just die like this."

Jimmy nodded: "What about Mrs. Mason?"

Hughes: "Don't worry. You two, leave now."

Jimmy and Mahong stood up, buttoned their suits, nodded at Hughes, and left his office.

Walking through the office corridor, Mahong said: "Take care of your report as well. If you have trouble writing, come to me."

Jimmy: "Got it. Help me polish it when you're done. First, give me the gunmen's photos. I need to investigate a bit."

Mahong: "I'll call the forensics office. Give me some time."

Jimmy: "I'll wait for you in the office."

The two arrived in front of the office. Jimmy took the elevator upstairs back to his office, while Mahong turned toward his office direction.

Isabel watched Jimmy walk into the office, but instead of approaching Jimmy, she went to Mrs. Mason's office, "Mrs. Mason, Jimmy is back."

Mason pulled open the blinds, saw Jimmy sitting in his office, and shook her head: "Don't disturb him. The entirety of this case is under information blackout; we'll discuss the time for public disclosure later."

Isabel: "It might be difficult to control the media's side. There have been too many deaths, both doctors and patients this time."

Mrs. Mason: "Not yet, we need to wait for a unified statement to be ready."

Isabel: "But there's a scheduled press conference tomorrow."

Mrs. Mason: "Cancel the Q&A session."

Isabel nodded: "Understood, I'll arrange it now." With that, Isabel turned and left Mrs. Mason's office.

Mrs. Mason, expressionless, watched Jimmy and then closed the blinds.

Jimmy reloaded bullets in his underarm holster in the office, unwilling to do anything and spaced out for over an hour before receiving Mahong's call, then he stood up and left the office.

At the elevator entrance, Mahong handed a folder to Jimmy. Jimmy opened it, glanced at it, and saw it contained photos, with fingerprint information below them. Jimmy nodded, returned to the elevator, and drove towards the Anti-Terrorism Bureau.

Perkins watched the breaking news on the TV, his expression changed. It was supposed to be an easy rescue mission; how did it end up with such major mistakes?

In the morning, the four people coming from the training camp were meant for Emily. The newcomers at the training camp are not particularly numerous, and considering the training costs, there aren't many ready to start missions.
