North America Gunman Detective
Chapter 945 - 547: Encirclement
Jimmy and Charon left the park, and he wanted Perkins to take the intelligence copy while also requesting information on Perkins and the forces behind her.
Getting a copy of the FBI intelligence wasn't difficult; they could obtain it by organizing their records. However, they didn't have any information on Perkins at the moment and needed to investigate further, but they could provide a phone number, which needed to be checked before giving it to Jimmy.
Jimmy returned to the FBI office, and Mahong followed shortly after; of course, Jimmy had called him back while on the road.
Mahong went straight to Jimmy's office after coming back, "Did you find any clues? You called me back in such a hurry."
Jimmy: "Wait a bit longer; the intelligence should be delivered soon."
Mahong looked at Jimmy in surprise: "Delivered here?"
Jimmy nodded: "That's their sincerity."
Mahong was a bit speechless. Regardless of which agency was helping with the investigation, shouldn't this be done privately? Delivering it directly to the FBI office? He turned to look at the public affairs office, "I'll go make some coffee, would you like a cup?"
Jimmy: "No need."
After waiting for an hour, the receptionist called Jimmy's office, "Hi, Jimmy, someone named 'Reynold' is here to see you, at the front desk."
Jimmy: "Hold on, I'll be right there."
Jimmy hung up the phone and walked out and returned shortly, carrying a file folder.
Sitting at his desk, Jimmy opened the folder, took out two printed sheets, glanced at them, cursed, and handed the documents to Mahong.
Jimmy: "Our data has been leaked."
Mahong took the documents to have a look: "Not a big deal, do you want to change places temporarily?"
Jimmy: "No, you live alone, but I have a fiancée and her family. If I go to her house, it would affect them. By the way, they need to leave for a while. You check the documents first; I'll make a call."
Jimmy left the office and found a meeting room to call Nia's father, Kevin: "Kevin, are you at work?"
Kevin: "What's going on? Jimmy."
Jimmy: "Something bad has happened, and I'm wondering if you could take your family and leave for a while?"
Kevin: "Reason?"
Jimmy: "You're in danger, but we don't know when it will be resolved yet. For safety, take a holiday for now."
Kevin: "Is it related to the hospital case?"
Jimmy: "Yes, it's quite troublesome."
Kevin: "What about you?"
Jimmy: "I'm fine, don't worry, I'll sort it out quickly. Your safety is crucial; once you're safe, I have no worries."
Kevin: "Could you tell me more about it?"
Jimmy: "Not just yet, maybe later."
Kevin: "I understand. Be careful."
Jimmy: "You too, it's best not to appear in public."
Kevin: "Alright then."
Jimmy hung up the phone and called Nia, briefly telling her to listen to Kevin and leave temporarily. Nia was speechless. Jimmy didn't give a reason, but still urged her to follow Kevin's arrangements. Fortunately, Nia wasn't new to Jimmy, knowing when to act as needed.
After arranging these matters, Jimmy returned to the office. Mahong placed the documents on the table, "What are you going to do?"
Jimmy picked up the documents: "Take the initiative, there's a phone number here, I'll follow up and see where she is."
Mahong: "Her? You know their identity?"
Jimmy paused: "I have a clue, but it's not confirmed."
Mahong: "Can't say now?"
Jimmy nodded: "The source of the clue is not easy to discuss, but it's mostly confirmed, at least one person escaped. She's an assassin, top-notch, but there are no photos, no other information. You must be cautious, change your residence, and check your car every time before you leave the office. People like her can't be judged by common sense."
Mahong: "And you?"
Jimmy: "I can't move; I'm bait. If she really comes for me directly, I'll be delighted."
Mahong: "No, it's too dangerous."
Jimmy: "Don't worry, if a tactical team ambushed me in the street, I'd still be fine. Just an assassin, not a big deal. It's not that I underestimate you, you haven't gone through such dangerous situations, stay cautious."
Mahong was speechless. The assassination situations Jimmy had encountered, anyone else would have died long ago, their body in the morgue by now, yet he had indeed not gone through such experiences.
Mahong: "I understand, so what do we do now?"
Jimmy: "I want you to stay in the office; I'll inform you if I have leads. You can bring people to support. If I don't call you, just stay in the office and don't go out for now. Their target should only be you and me."
Mahong took a few deep breaths, "Alright, waiting for your call." He got up, opened the office door, and left.
Jimmy took a sheet of paper, copied the phone number twice, folded and tore it, putting it in his pocket, then fed the documents of himself and Mahong into the shredder.
The FBI office uses different levels of shredders; the one in Jimmy's office is P3 level, which cuts paper into pieces no larger than 2mm, ensuring it can't be reassembled.
Those P1, P2 level shredders only cut paper into strips. Based on the writing, there's a chance of reassembling them, so confidential agencies don't use these lower-level shredders.
Jimmy made sure the documents were destroyed, packed up, and left, driving to the Anti-Terrorism Bureau.
