North America Gunman Detective
Chapter 956 - 552: Should We Take Action? (Part 2)
After arranging for agents to go undercover with the arms dealer, they successfully made contact with the intermediary. Now, they need some time to draw out the people behind the scene. If there are no accidents, this lead will definitely yield results.
The Anti-Terrorism Bureau is also tracking the origins of the female assassin and Perkins' vehicles, but the cars of those four people are a bit unexpected. They come from outside of New York. Although they contacted the Jersey City side, because the road surveillance there doesn't cover all intersections, the car disappeared. Currently, we can only confirm they likely came from the north.
Jimmy nodded continuously in the meeting room as they presented their conclusions. Yes, whether it's the training camp or their headquarters, they are all in the northern part of New York. The direction is correct, but the clues have been interrupted. Jimmy's side can directly get specific information. However, just using the current clues to reverse infer a direction is already quite good, especially since those people have no records whatsoever.
The FBI still has some issues. The boss of the Poison Snake Gang, Montello, has disappeared. There are no messages from flight information or any other directions. Ruiz directly mobilized four or five surveillance teams to monitor known Poison Snake Gang locations and his home, as well as that villa in Jersey City, but it's been two or three days and there's no news.
Jimmy is basically working as a liaison. Other people have different things to handle, and he mainly collaborates with Bill in the meeting room to tally information coming from various channels.
Since the information he has is somewhat sensitive and cannot be explained as to its source, Jimmy decided not to submit it first and to investigate it himself.
Currently, there is basically nothing for him to do here, so Jimmy directly left the Anti-Terrorism Bureau to return to the FBI office. In Hughes' office, Jimmy gave the information to Hughes.
Jimmy: "Hughes, I got some information from a certain channel and need satellite photos of these two places to verify."
Hughes looked at the information and then at Jimmy, "What is this?"
Jimmy: "The headquarters of the Deep Red Rose and a training camp in Canada. Of course, that's what the information says."
Hughes: "What is the Deep Red Rose? What do they do?"
Jimmy: "The people who attacked me this time came from the Deep Red Rose. Those people who can't be traced at all should all come from their training camp. The source of this information is sensitive, so I haven't submitted it to DHS."
Hughes frowned and looked again at the information in his hand. The manor villa issue in Albany isn't a major problem, but the training camp in Canada is tricky. He can apply for satellite photos, but monitoring a foreign location is very sensitive.
Hughes raised the information, "Are you sure this information is reliable?"
Jimmy: "At present, it seems to have a certain degree of credibility. I am actually worried about the reliability of this information and thus need verification. Also, I am not sure if I should give this information to DHS now, mainly because I can't explain its source."
Hughes shook his head: "The source of the information is not a major issue. If it truly matches existing information, not providing the source is acceptable. I'll try, though I predict there might be issues with that Canadian training camp."
Jimmy: "Confirming one location would be sufficient. If the headquarters' location is correct, the credibility of the training camp should also be quite high."
Hughes: "Alright, go back for now."
Jimmy: "Thank you, Hughes."
-----------------
Winston only had to wait one night. The decision from the high table came out. The Deep Red Rose will be removed, and arrangements will be handled by the Russian Trasov family in New York.
Once Winston received the call, he immediately informed Charon. This operation would have intelligence provided by the Intercontinental Hotel and be responsible for logistics.
While waiting for Charon's arrival, Winston thought it over and still decided to give Jimmy a phone call.
Jimmy was organizing information in the meeting room when he received the call. Seeing it was Winston's number, he immediately left the meeting room to answer it.
Winston: "Jimmy, are you busy?"
Jimmy: "Working, what's up?"
Winston: "Could you come over for a chat if it's convenient?"
Jimmy frowned a bit, "Now?"
Winston: "As soon as possible."
Jimmy glanced at the meeting room, "Later, I'll call you when I'm heading over."
Winston: "I'll wait for you."
Charon arrived at Winston's study and learnt about the high table's decision.
Charon: "Sir, if it's the Trasov family, is it him who will act?"
Winston nodded: "If there are no accidents, it should be him."
Charon: "What do we need to do?"
Winston: "Get in touch with the Trasov people and see what they need us to do. Oh, and if Jimmy comes by, bring him up directly."
Charon frowned slightly: "Sir, will he be involved?"
Winston: "I'm still considering it. Go ahead."
Charon: "Understood."
-----------------
Jimmy didn't want to go directly to the hotel because Hughes had already given him a message in the morning before work, informing that he should wait for notice to pick up the satellite photos. Now, Hughes hasn't called, so what if he goes to the hotel and the call comes in midway?
Holding his phone, Jimmy returned to the meeting room and told Bill that he needed to return to the FBI office. Bill frowned a bit but did not refuse, just telling him to inquire about the Poison Snake Gang's interrogation results while he was at it.
Jimmy can't help it as he runs out here and there for the case. Bill really feels like he's slacking off, but it's alright. Jimmy doesn't have much to do here now anyway, so returning early is fine.
Jimmy didn't wait for Hughes' call and went back to the office. Not wanting to run back and forth, he sat in the meeting room outside Hughes' office to wait.
Finally, Hughes returned from outside with a file folder and, seeing Jimmy in the meeting room, directly let him come into his office.
Hughes gave the file folder to Jimmy: "Here are the photos you wanted."
Jimmy glanced at the photos in the file and looked at Hughes in surprise: "This clear? Where are they from?"
Hughes: "Don't ask, just take them back and look."
Jimmy nodded, closed the file, and left Hughes' office. He spread the photos out on the conference table in the nearby meeting room. The location of the manor was in the previous information. They could locate it based on the address, verify the coordinates, and the satellite could take the photos directly. Jimmy had never seen such high-resolution photos before.
When he was seconded to Dallas earlier, he had applied for satellite photos from the Dallas office. Those photos were, in fact, just very broad and had little ground detail.
Now the clarity of these photos was excessive. He could even identify vehicles and horses on the ground. They appeared just as tiny dots in the photos, but the outlines were already very clear.
The shape of the house and surrounding roads in the photos were sharply identifiable. Even the contour of the buildings' shadows could be clearly seen.
Jimmy carefully went through the photos. Looking down from above, nothing particularly unusual could be discerned here. If there was something strange, it was that there seemed to be quite a few people here.
Due to the resolution issue, you couldn't actually see the shapes of people. But based on the black and white dots in the photos, you could roughly determine that those outside were probably people.
Not much was actually gained from the photos. The manor, garden, and pasture were all discernible, and no particularly special buildings were found. However, comparing it with the information Jude provided, it was basically the same, suggesting Jude's information was relatively credible, although whether this is their headquarters remains uncertain.
Jimmy collected the photos and stood up to leave the office, heading to the Intercontinental Hotel.
Upon seeing Jimmy, Charon took him upstairs, and Winston's first words almost broke Jimmy's composure.
Winston: "Jimmy, interested in taking down the headquarters of Deep Red Rose?"
