CHAPTER 110: _AT LONG LAST

Elian’s POV

*****

[Ahem... Ignore the time jump... Congratulations host! It’s morning which means you completed the mission: Survive your first night out of the palace.]

[Your reward, as promised, is a +5 boost to all your current stats.]

Elian merely sighed when he saw the system notification in front of his face. He indeed felt a sudden surge within his body, like all his cells were working overtime to be "better".

It was good news... Scratch that, it was great news!

A plus five increase to all his stats was a lot.

But alas, after Estella’s confession last night, he hadn’t been able to catch even a wink of sleep.

Axel and Lucian moving in and out of the hotel room, making calls to the palace and ensuring Estella was looked after by the guards in her room, didn’t help matters either.

[Aww... Someone’s clearly dick deprived. Want me to replay recordings of your naughty time with each mate? The one with Lucian giving you a—]

’Now is now the right time for your lewdity, system.’ Elian said mentally, sitting up on the hotel bed and snapping his neck. ’Show me my stats. Maybe that’ll make me feel better.’

The system didn’t say anything snarky but instead began loading in front of his eyes. After a couple of seconds, it showed all the numbers in his stats.

[Here are the host’s stats:]

[Category: Wolfless Omega (Suppressed Lycan King bloodline)

Strength: 9

Durability: 8

Speed: 10

Regeneration: 7

Senses: 10

Mana Core level: N/A

Total Evaluation: Host is one point away on each stat to being an average adult werewolf. That’s progress!]

Yeah... Yay for him.

Elian’s eyes lingered on the "suppressed Lycan bloodline" tag for a bit before he dismissed the screen.

"Lucian and Axel barely looked at me after Estella’s big reveal. Do you think they’re—"

[Threatened by the fact that your third mate is the mysterious Rogue king? Yeah, maybe.]

Goddess...

Suddenly, a creak came from the room door, causing Elian’s eyes to widen alertly. The door swung open and Lucian walked in, his musky scent breezing into the room along with him.

"Alright, just got off a call with my dad and the palace is free from any more spies," Lucian remarked with a plain expression, clasping his hands in front of his chest. "Aurora, Estella and Axel are downstairs. Ready to leave?"

Elian blinked at him, mesmerised by the way the early morning sunlight reflected on his silver eyes for a second. But then he shook his head, drawing in a deep breath.

"Lucian..." He started, getting off the bed. "You’ve barely said anything since... Last night. Since Estella said the rogue king is my mate."

Lucian’s face was as stoic as ever but there was a slight twitch in his eyes. "What’s there to say?"

Gods...

"I don’t know, maybe the fact that I hid it from you all this time?" Elian said with a shrug, pressing his lips into a thin line. "I know I messed up on that—"

"Elian," Lucian interrupted with a wave, forcing a smile on his face. "It’s... It’s all good. I get it. Your life was already hell when everyone knew you were the Alpha Prince’s and Beta’s mate. I could only imagine what it would’ve been like if everyone knew you’re mates with the Rogue king himself."

He chuckled dryly, shaking his head. "Anyway, come on, let’s go. Don’t want to keep the others waiting, right?"

Elian plastered a smile even though he noticed the slight clench of Lucian’s jaw. The Alpha Prince only gazed at him for a bit before waltzing out of the room, leaving the door open.

[That conversation went better than expected.]

’It was a disaster. Lucian only started opening up recently and now THIS?’

[Hey, compared to his reaction when he found out you’re also mated to Axel, I’ll call this a win. Now would you relax? We have a triple wedding to plan. Or... Would it be one wedding since they’re all getting married to you?]

"You’re fucking insane." Elian cursed out loud as he walked to the room’s entrance, closing the door behind him once he was out.

[Well, golly! I’m only trying to be a wingman here.]

.

.

The drive through the industrial district and back to the royal palace was... Quiet.

Elian felt awkward, especially when he caught Aurora occasionally glancing at him as if he had broken her trust.

His mate did kill her mate after all.

[Oh, please! As if her mate wasn’t going to kill you two yesterday.]

’Let’s not. I’m just glad all that drama is over...’ Elian rubbed his forehead with a sigh, sinking into the comfortable leather seat.

Eventually, the aether craft stopped in front of the royal palace. Elian and the others stepped out one by one, walking toward the majestic golden palace.

Estella was in a separate craft, escorted by a few guards.

To Elian’s surprise, a line of guards welcomed them as they walked toward the palace, each of them donned in golden armour and the crest of Lunaria.

[Oh, talk about a grand entrance.]

The golden spires of the royal palace glimmered against the early sun, stretching into the heavens like blades forged from light itself.

The closer he walked, the heavier the air felt, like the palace itself demanded submission.

And standing before its colossal entrance — two figures awaited them.

The Alpha King and Luna Queen.

Lucian’s parents.

The Alpha King towered like a living storm, his broad shoulders wrapped in a cloak the colour of midnight, his piercing silver eyes burning with the same unyielding steel as Lucian’s, but sharper.

His very presence made the guards at his side straighten further, like his shadow itself enforced discipline.

Beside him stood the Luna Queen, beautiful as ever. Her gown shimmered like liquid moonlight, and her crown of woven silver threads rested perfectly in her pale hair.

Her smile was soft, but her gaze was calculating.

For a moment, Elian’s breath caught.

It almost looked like they were waiting for them. For him.

His heart stuttered.

[Wow. Look at you, getting royal treatment. Mama and Papa-in-law rolled out the metaphorical red carpet.]

Elian swallowed, forcing his feet to keep moving even though every instinct screamed to bow or look away.

The King’s gaze flickered over each of them — Axel, Aurora, even Estella’s guarded escort trailing behind. But when his eyes landed on Elian, they lingered for a bit.

Elian fought the urge to squirm.

"Welcome home," the King said at last, his voice carrying like a thunderclap over the courtyard.

Elian blinked, but then his eyebrows furrowed.

[Wait. Hold up. Something’s not right.]

Before Elian could process it, a sharp ping rang in his mind.

[ALERT. Incoming aerial craft, not native to Lunarian technology. ETA: 00:00:12.]

Elian froze.

’What?’

[Behind the palace. Fruitcake, I suggest you do not smile like you’re about to faint.]

And then... the sound tore across the sky.

A deep, guttural whirr, mechanical yet beastly, vibrating through the ground beneath their feet.

The guards stiffened. Axel’s hand instinctively went for the hilt of his sabre. Aurora muttered a curse.

Elian turned.

From the horizon, slicing through the pale dawn clouds, came a black aircraft — sleek, angular, and nothing like the golden Lunarian aircraft he was used to seeing.

Its body drank in the light like an obsidian dagger in the sky.

The ground quaked as it descended, landing with a hiss of steam.

Silence swallowed the courtyard. Even the Alpha King narrowed his eyes, his soldiers raising their weapons.

The ramp lowered as smoke hissed out.

Suddenly, a tall, dark figure emerged, each step echoing like war drums against the marble tiles of the palace courtyard.

And then... HE appeared.

Kyren.

The Rogue King.

Elian’s lungs seized, his heart skipping a beat as he blinked with disbelief.

"No freaking way."

[Oh, yes! Time for some drama!]

When Kyren’s red eyes scanned the place and landed on him, Elian stiffened, a primal sense of longing eating through his being.

And then the Rogue king smirked, letting out a whisper. "At long last..."
