Omega Ascension System[BL]
Chapter 46: _Ascension Shop
CHAPTER 46: _ASCENSION SHOP
Elian’s POV
*****
[SYSTEM ONLINE: Ding! Congratulations, fruitcake! I don’t know what you did in the dark lands but it shot up the rogue king’s seduction meter through the roof.]
Elian rubbed his forehead as the system’s mechanical voice rang in his mind. He lowered his gaze, realising that his lower body was still fully dressed in his physical body.
Then why was his consciousness naked?
[Your mind probably subconsciously sent a projection of you more suited for your mission in the dark lands: Seducing Kyren. And ouuu, you slutty bottom...]
Elian’s face heated up at that last part.
"I’m not a—"
[Anyway, here are the stats and information...]
[Mate #1 Seduction Meter: 55%]
[Mate #2 Seduction Meter: 62%]
[Mate #3 Seduction Meter: 66%]
Elian’s lips parted as he stared at the status bars on the translucent blue screen in front of him.
[Main mission: Get the seduction bars of your mates to 50%... Status: COMPLETED. Reward: Ascension shop, loading...]
Elian’s eyes lit up with excitement as he sat up, brushing aside strands of hair. He stretched his limbs, trying to ignore the lingering phantom ache left behind from what Kyren did to his consciousness.
His crotch was finally relaxing and should remain that way... if he doesn’t think of all Kyren did.
"I’m the sin you’ll thank yourself for committing." Kyren’s voice echoed in his mind all over again.
That damn smirk! Those abs... Those arm muscles. Those piercing red eyes. The depth and equal smoothness of his voice.
Fuck, that man was perfection wrapped in sin in all the best ways possible.
And he might just be his guilty pleasure...
[ASCENSION SHOP LOADED. Wanna see?]
Elian smiled slightly, nodding at the system.
He clicked on the shopping cart icon on the right side of the screen, and then a list of items appeared. He scrolled down the list, seeing a plethora of things that either spiked his interest or made him scratch his head.
[Like I’ve said before, the Ascension shop contains tons of items, both items from this planet and beyond anything possibly existing within it.]
Elian soon stopped on one item that caught his interest for some reason. He tilted his head, furrowing his eyebrows at the name.
"Poppers?" He blurted, his mind reeling. "Is this some kind of drug or—"
[Ooop. You’ve reached the sex enhancing section already. Don’t worry, that’s an off-world item.]
Elian arched an eyebrow. "But I’m interested in it."
[You’re an Omega whose body produces its own lubrication and gets pleasure from one of your mate’s sneezing. You wouldn’t need it, trust me.]
Elian clicked his tongue, rolling his eyes.
"How do I get these items anyway?" He queried, squinting. "Do I give you money? Golden tickets? Moon tickets?"
Those were the two main currencies of the empire, with golden tickets being the higher denomination. They could be accessed by citizens through digital purses.
[No. You use the currency offered to you by the system... Ascension points.]
Elian scoffed. "Is everything about this system ’ascension’ themed?"
[Well, I’m the Omega Ascension System, am I not?]
He shook his head, folding his arms in front of his chest and rubbing his chin as he stared at the screen.
He currently had two strength Ascension pills from the system. But he felt like if he wanted any luck navigating life in this palace, with his survival on the line because of those assassins... he’d need more than any of that.
"How many Ascension points do I have and how do I get them?" He asked, arching a brow.
The system showed a "loading" bar in front of the list of items before making a ding sound.
[Host currently has 15 Ascension points. You’ll get new ones of varying numbers each time you complete "special missions". Those 15 are a bonus. You’re welcome.]
Elian tried ignoring the slight sarcasm in the system’s voice. It was odd how it could both sound emotionless and sassy like someone’s rebellious teen daughter, at the same time.
"Special missions... I’m guessing these missions are different from the ones you currently give me." Elian’s gaze became distant. "Can you show me the items that I can afford with fifteen Ascension points?"
The System loaded before updating the list of items in front of him, showing him a much shorter one.
"Oh..." He swallowed, his gaze scanning the list curiously. "What could I buy...?"
[Want me to make a suggestion?]
Elian shook his head. "No, I’ve got this..."
His gaze suddenly landed on something mid-scroll.
It had a small image projection of it attached to the name and seemed to call to him... Or he was just being delusional. Whatever it was, he wanted it.
"Mana point boosters." He whispered with excitement in his voice.
He’s heard of mana... It was the energy witches used in practising magic.
One mana booster was exactly 10 points!
"I want a mana booster!" He yelled out excitedly without thinking, already imagining himself opening portals and turning Lucian into a frog like those mages from Arcadia.
Unfortunately, the system had to be a buzzkill.
[To use a mana booster, you’ll need a source of mana, genius. Aka, a mana core... Which you don’t have.]
Crap...
Elian groaned, raising his head and staring at the ceiling. "Fuck!"
He let out a hoarse breath, racking his mind before slowly focusing his gaze back on the translucent blue screen.
"How many Ascension points would it take for me to buy a mana core?" He queried, clenching his jaw with anticipation.
[Price of mana core: 1000 Ascension points.]
One thousand?!
"That’s robbery!" Elian snapped.
[Oh, I’m sorry. But it’s not my fault you’re an Omega who has no business having a mana core to begin with. Except you’re a hybrid like the rogue king...]
A shiver ran down Elian’s spine at the mention of the rogue king. His skin prickled with memory—Kyren’s gaze pinning him in place, as if he’d been stripped bare in more ways than one.
His eyelids fluttered as he asked curiously. "He’s a hybrid?"
[Yep. Your recent interaction with him gave me enough data to run a scan on him. He’s part witch, part werewolf sovereign. A devastating mix.]
Huh... That explains how he was able to hold his consciousness in place back in his throne room.
Elian let out a sigh, hopping off his bed and then stretching his limbs for the second time since he woke up. He scratched his back, pouting his lips.
"Fine then. I’ll save my Ascension points. In the meantime, give me one of those special missions."
The Ascension shop blinked out, showing a loading bar before finally showing a mission for Elian.
[Special mission generated.]
But when he saw it, his jaw fell, his cheeks burning.
"What the heck?"
