CHAPTER 520: GURKHA REALM.

The young couple spent another half a day to traverse the void and reach a small village. The village was not even covered with any array to keep the chilly blizzard away. Hao Ren and Han Lingshi got down on the carriage, and they heard a few wolves howling from the side. Hao Ren raised his brow and the beasts went silent.

Just then a few people stepped out of what looked like straw huts. They were all wearing beast skins and their hair were decorated with beast teeth and bones. When the people spotted Hao Ren and Han Lingshi, they were vary of the two, but then a voice echoed in the surroundings, "Teacher Hao!"

Hao Ren turned around and found a young man dressed in a similar attire walking over with a wolf beside him. Hao Ren knew this guy, but he couldn’t recall the name of the person.. The young man walked over and bowed to Hao Ren as he said, "Teacher, I am Deepu, the one you taught for a few days on the way."

Hao Ren waved his hand and caused the guy to stand up straight and asked, "I remember you have two more people with you at that time. Where are they?"

The young man smiled and replied, "Those two are in seclusion for a long time. However, I am surprised to see you here."

Hao Ren nodded and said, "This is my wife, Han Lingshi. She brought me here."

Han Lingshi smiled and said, "I have come here because I made an appointment with the chief of the village."

A sturdy man with a braided beard stepped up and said, "Your Excellency, I am the leader of the village, Kuman. Please, let us talk inside."

Han Lingshi nodded and then the crowd retreated inside one of the biggest straw and mud houses. The interior was simple but it was covered with beast skins to provide insulation. Hao Ren said, "People below the Dao Realm cannot handle such cold with ease."

The men smiled and replied, "This cold is the reason our children have a tempered body, and they are mentally tougher as well."

Hao Ren nodded and he saw a few knives hanging on the walls. The knives were curved outwards, and they were all one foot long. Hao Ren smiled and replied, "It seems that your clan has a rather talented artifact refiner as well."

The people smiled but they didn’t reply, but the chieftian said, "These knives are left behind by our ancestors. Although we have a talented refiner in the clan, he is not yet near this level."

Hao Ren nodded in understanding and they all sat down in a hall which was floored with cushions. Han Lingshi asked, "Can you tell me about the Gurkha Realm now?"

The chief nodded and replied, "Gurkha Realm is a small world left behind by a Heaven level expert. He was a tribal like us, but he climbed the stairs of the cultivation world and comprehended the Dao of Hunt and at the end of his lifespan, he sealed off his treasures and legacy inside the small realm.

Many centuries passed and the treasures that he left behind grew into a proper world that opens every few centuries and allows the people from World Overlord Realm to step through. This is so that a candidate could seek out the hidden legacy.

For hundreds of thousands of years, the small world has opened but none of the people ever succeeded in finding the secrets hidden there."

Han Lingshi asked, "How is it determined who would enter then?"

The Chief replied, "Every clan in the northern wilderness has two slots. They are free to trade these slots with someone they trust in return for some benefits. Some clans are stronger than the others and so they trade with weaker clans and send in a higher number of people to increase their monopoly inside."

Hao Ren nodded and then he asked, "So, is it alright to kill people inside?"

The Chief nodded, he said, "The Dao of Hunt is said to be a branch of killing Dao. So it is normal for you to kill the people if they try to harm you. The killings are later on judged by the tribal council. Although they don’t make things difficult for the people, they can be nasty to outlanders. So, either you hold back from killing the people or you make sure to use some imaging stones."

Hao Ren and Han Lingshi nodded, and they exchanged glances, and the latter said, "Priority is the Jade Solaris Lotus, the rest of the things are secondary. Unless it is necessary, we won’t kill."

The man nodded and said, "The realm will open a few days later, after the sacrificial ceremony. The entrants must get a prey to sacrifice. Shall I arrange it for you?"

Han Lingshi shook her head and said, "My husband will get it for us."

Hao Ren was shocked, but then he sighed and said, "Yes, I will."

That was it, Deepu smiled as he said, "I will guide Teacher to the hunting zone."

The chief nodded and said, "Be mindful of the Kumaon Territory. I don’t want that Guru to come and cry."

Deepu chuckled and replied, "Yes, I will be sure."

After a couple of hours Hao Ren left the place with Deepu in lead. They walked slowly through the barren lands, and Hao Ren once again marveled at how cruel the situation in this region was, however, all of a sudden he caught a sound echoing through the surroundings.

He asked, "What is that? A mowing cow?"

Deepu shook his head and replied, "Those are Blizzard Rams. They are as big as cows, but they are Rams, and they will fight till death. They are the prime sacrificial preys. It is hard to locate them but its impossible to catch them alive."

Hao Ren thought for a moment and said, "Come, let’s give it a try. If they die, then we can stew them."

Deepu was surprised, but he led Hao Ren to follow the location where the rams were gathered. Hao Ren spotted that there were a dozen of rams. He thought for a bit and then directly walked over with slow pace.

His movement stunned Deepu, but he was told to wait behind. The rams saw Hao Ren approaching and they all turned to look at him. Hao Ren located the leader of the flock and then he gazed straight at the beast. He could sense that this beast was slightly taller than the rest of the flock and his coat was also shinier.

He raised his hand to point at the beast. These things were also world level beasts, and they were spiritually awakened. The young man said, "Lets fight, if you win I will let you go. If you lose, well you lose."

The beast was spiritually awake so it understood the provocation and then it snorted and stomped the foot on the ground. It accepted the challenge and then it charged through. Hao Ren smiled and clenched his fist hard. Then he waited for the beast to reach really close before he punched him right in the forehead.

The punch sent the beast flying, Deepu opened his eyes wide when he saw this. The beast flock was shocked as well, but that was it Hao Ren caused the beast to lose consciousness with just one hit. Then Hao Ren looked at Deepu and asked, "Do I really need to catch one more?"

Deepu gulped and said, "Teacher, these guys will go berserk."

Hao Ren raised his brow and turned around to see a dozen rams charging at him as they let out mowing sounds. The entire area seemed to be rippling with thunders. He understood why these beasts were called thunder rams.

Hao Ren was not easy to defeat and he clenched his fist hard before he vanished from his spot. Then he attacked the beasts with all his power and took them out one by one. He had a special physique, but even then the impact from the punches caused his hands to go numb.

Initially he intended to hold back from preventing any accidental kill, however, the leader made Hao Ren pour in all the force he could use. It was because the beast suddenly accelerated on contact. The young man didn’t want to feel the same again. It was a risky move to allow a mad beast to have a chance.

With the matter solved, Hao Ren turned to look at the side and said, "Deepu, come over, I will need your help to tie them up."

Deepu rushed over while gulping his saliva, and as they tied up the flock and then Hao Ren and Deepu carried the flock off on four spears and Deepu said, "Teacher, if they make a statue for you and start worshiping you as the god of war, please don’t be surprised."
