Fiona could see right through it now–Natalie was just bragging about being the Phantom Healer’s apprentice. But at times like this, she had to stand by her own family.
So she stepped forward and chimed in, “Hey, handsome, do us a favor and let my niece in. She’s from the Evans family in Hirica. If you help her out, the Evans Medical Group will make sure you get the best support in the future.

After all these years in this circle, Fiona had learned one thing: money and power were always the best tools. She believes that Lucas would be smitten as long as the conditions were right.
Lucas looked at them like they wereplete fools. He thought, ‘Who’d even touch anything from the Evans family these days? Even if she put the whole Evans family on the table, I won’t let her in. Keeping Olivia happy is all that matters.’
Natalie and Fiona just wouldn’t let up, and Lucas guessed Olivia was almost done with the surgery. Hel was genuinely furious. He snapped, “You’re driving me crazy. Seriously, how many times do I have to say it? Not happening.
“If you keep making a scene, I will call security and toss you out.” With that, he hurried into the
operating room.
Natalie’s face twisted with humiliation. The thought of Olivia meeting the legendary Phantom Healer while she was stuck out here made her so jealous that she could barely think straight.
Natalie was fuming. Not bcaring /bif anyone inside could hear her, she mmed her fists against the operating room’s iron door. She roared, “Why can’t I go in? Why does that fraud get to go in? Why her

Lucas had just walked in when he caught Natalie ranting. Instantly, his temper red, and he forgot all about Olivia’s warnings. He yelled back, “She’s got the credentials. You don’t. She knows the Phantom Healer.
“The Phantom Healer picked her himself. You’re just a wannabe trying way too hard.”
Letting loose like that, he felt a wave of relief wash over him. He thought, ‘Guess cussing someone out does wonders for bone’s /bbmood/b.

“Why does she get to go in, and I don’t?” she muttered under her breath, her jealousy ring.
Fiona’s expression soured. She hadn’t expected that Juliet would have a friend like Olivia at that
orphanage. And that this friend would know the Phantom Healer. She thought, Juliet just gets all the
luck.‘
Meanwhile, inside the operating room, Olivia was already dressed head to toe in surgical gear, with only her eyes visible.
Lucas had handled all the preparations for this surgery. The operating room and equipment were well–prepared, and even the circting nurse had been told to keep quiet about the Phantom Healer.
The only thing Olivia was worried about was Lucas’s big mouth.
Once everything was set, Olivia gave a nod to the circting nurse.
With a press of the surgical timer, the operation officially began.
Brain surgery was no joke–especially with Juliet’s tumor in such a rare, dangerous spot. One wrong
move, and her life would be on the line.
A young nurse came over and handed Olivia the instruments. She said, “The hair’s all shaved, blood
supply is good to go. Are we starting the craniotomy now?”
“Let’s begin,” Olivia replied. She picked up the scalpel, her hand rock–steady as she made the first cut.
She instructed, “Start the anesthesia.”
Within seconds, Olivia announced, “Scalp incisionplete, skull opened.” She quickly located the

Lucas couldn’t handle the sight–he kept his distance, his face twisting up as he caught a glimpse of
the tumor.
