Lucas didn’t look the least bit fazed. With a cocky glint in his eye, he drawled, “Mr. Shea, fancy running into you here. I’m just the messenger. The Phantom Healer took off right after the surgery. I don’t know where he goes.
“If you’re that curious, go hunt him down yourself. And tell your guys to clear out. This is a hospital, not your personal casino.” With that, he grabbed Olivia’s arm, ready to whisk her
away.
He said, “Olivia, you must be starving after hanging around here so long. Let’s go get some seafood boil. I’ve already made all the arrangements.”
He thought to himself, ‘Olivia went through all this trouble toe here; I have to make sure she’s well taken care of.’
Olivia nodded. She turned to Thomas and said, “Make sure there are two guards outside Juliet’s room, 24/7. No one gets in unless I or Lucas says so.”
She then shot a pointed look at Natalie and Fiona and added, “Especially certain people who just don’t get it.”
Thomas nodded eagerly. There was no way he’d dare ignore the Phantom Healer’s orders. He said, “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of everything.”
Andrew watched the way Olivia and Lucas acted so close, his fists tightening as he barely held himself back from snapping.
Lucas nced over at Andrew and, with a casual grin, called out, “Mr. Shea, wanna grab some food with usb?/b”
“Surei,/i” Andrew replied, which was totally out of character for him.
“That’s a shame–maybe next time,” Lucas blurted out, caught totally off guard. He honestly thought Andrew would turn him down without a second thought. He eximed, “You’reing too?”
Andrew nodded.
“Didn’t you say your stomach can’t handle eating with other people?” Olivia said, her tone light and teasing as she arched an eyebrow.
Andrew chuckled and said, “You’re not just anyone to me.”
Lucas hadn’t seen thating. He shot Olivia a sideways look, trying to gauge her reaction.

Olivia stretchedzily and casually remarked, “Alright, let’s head out. Seafood boil is just perfect for winter.”
Performing surgery was hard work, and this one was a real marathon. By the time Olivia finished, her breakfast felt like ancient history–no wonder her stomach was growling now.
Ethan wanted to stop Andrew, but the thought of getting his pay docked gave him pause. In the end, he figured it was safer to just let it go. He thought, ‘Anyway, with Olivia around, nothing’s likely to go wrong!‘
Olivia took the opportunity to think things over.
When Juliet was first adopted, Fiona and her husband seemed to adore her. Olivia wondered how things had ended up like this after just a few years.
Back then, Fiona and her husband showed up at the orphanage every single day, helping out from morning till night. All to win Juliet’s heart, snacks and toys just kept pouring in.
That was why Grace was convinced they truly cared about Juliet and signed off on the adoption.
Thinking about it now, Olivia felt that all the attention they showered on Juliet just felt off. She thought to herself, ‘If they don’t have some ulterior motive, why bother trying so hard to please a kid?‘
But she’d only find out once Juliet woke up.
Always thinking several steps ahead, Olivia had witnessed her share of power struggles among the rich. No matter what the future held for Juliet, she was already making sure there’d be a safety in ce–just in case things ever went south.
Andrew noticed Olivia’s absent–mindedness.
He nced across the table at Lucas, who was happily snacking on fried shrimp while waiting for the seafood boil to simmer so he could throw in more ms. All he could do was shake his head in helpless amusement.
All over Hirica, Lucas was famous for being a carefree foodie and notorious flirt who never took anything seriously. His reputation was so well–known that even the kids on the street could chant it like a nursery rhyme.
