Olivia didn’t bother with pretenses and opened the box, cing the items into her bag. ‘Why not take a gift that’s handed to you?‘ she thought.

Seeing Olivia’s actions, Henry let out a cold snort. “Typical of someone who’s never seen the world. No manners at all.”

Lucas was really getting annoyed with this incessant old man. ‘Why does he have to be so nosy? He should just keep quiet. No one would think he’s mute,‘ he thought.

Ignoring Henry’s mockery, Olivia continued to put the items away.

The people around her, seeing her actions, joined Henry inughing at her.

“She’s clearly a poor student, so excited about the jewelry,” onemented.

“Who else here has touched the gifts? I thought she was different, but she’s just asmon as theye,” another added.

“Only Henry can hold his own in such situations. He’s seen it all,” someone else chimed in.

The voices of the guests grew louder, all directed at Olivia. Even Vivian noticed what was happening.

As Vivian turned her head, she caught Olivia in the act of putting the gifts away.

This girl is really interesting,‘ Vivian thought.

Vivian had made her way in the business world, and she believed that no one could truly dislike money.

The hypocrisy of these people, pretending to disdain the gifts, struck her as insincere.

Among the crowd of people pretending to be above such things, Olivia’s actions won Vivian’s

    favor.

“Miss, are you satisfied with the gifts prepared by the Shea family?” Vivian asked with a faint smile, her gaze falling on Olivia.

This question once again made Olivia the center of attention.

Everyone in the room sneered, sure that Vivian must look down on Olivia’s mercenary behavior.

Henry’s smile grew wider. “See? You’ve been called out.”

    :

Olivia’s behavior was really not fitting for high society.

Simon and Cheryl exchanged nces, feeling somewhat schadenfreude. ‘Thankfully, we distanced ourselves from her just now,‘ they thought.

Vivian, unaware of the situation, was puzzled by the mockery directed at the young girl.

Though Olivia wasn’t wearing an evening gown, it wasn’t a big deal.

No one had stipted that one must wear an evening gown to a party. Vivian believed that as long as one wasfortable, that was the most suitable attire.

‘Could it be that they look down on this girl just because of this? If that’s the case, then these people are really too snobbish,‘ Vivian thought.

Vivian was just about to speak up in Olivia’s defense when she was interrupted.

Olivia’s lips curved into a faint smile as she ran her fingers over the box and nodded. “Not bad, I like them. The Shea family has prepared some great things.”

Henry led the sneering. “Of course, the Shea family prepares only the finest. But we’re not as money–grubbing as you. You just took the items right there, looking like amoner.”

The guests, unsure of what to do, some followed suit and agreed, while others just watched indifferently.

“So what?” From beginning to end, Olivia’s tone and expression remained calm andposed, not even a wrinkle on her brow, but she spoke clearly. “Loving money is human nature. Since the Shea family has given these gifts, why shouldn’t I ept them?”

“Are you saying that being pretentious and making a big deal out of epting gifts is polite? Or do you think the gifts are not good enough and you don’t want to take them?” Olivia sneered, tapping her fingers lightly on the table.

“All I know is that epting the gifts graciously is the real respect for the giver,” she added.

“Girl, what do you know? This is basic etiquette. Has no one taught you about honor and integrity?” Simon was getting more and more annoyed. She implied that they were all just pretending to be above the Shea family’s gifts.

Simon’s anger grew, and he mmed his hand on the table, standing up. “Today, I’m going to teach you a lesson.”

“A yboy has the right to talk about honor and integrity?” Lucas smirked, clicking his tongue. “Mr. Evans, too much wrong will backfire. You’d better deal with those girls outside instead of wasting your time here.”

Lucas scrolled through his phone and projected several photos onto the public screen.

They were hotel pictures, scrolling one after another.

The main subject of the photos was Simon, while the faces and bodies of the girls were carefully obscured.

“You ying around with women is one thing, but going after minors? That’s just despicable,” Lucas hated these predators who preyed on women. Simon had actually gone after minors, taking photos afterward to use as ckmail.

The girls who had been victimized were too afraid of damaging their reputations to speak out, so they kept quiet about the whole thing.

If it weren’t for Olivia asking Lucas to look into the Evans family, Simon might have continued to get away with his actions.

Simon’s face turned pale. ‘Where did Lucas get these pictures from? How could he have gotten them? I thought I had covered everything up,‘ he wondered.

Henry was furious, mming his hand on the table as he stood up. “Lucas, you’ve gone too far. How dare you insult us like this? Do you think I’m not here? Who are you to use Lucas? He’s my grandson.”

Olivia tugged at the corner of her mouth. “Let the police figure out if it’s true or not.”

Then, she looked at Vivian. “Ms. Shea, what do you

    think?b” /b

Vivian’s expression was stern, and her words were resounding. “The Shea family will not allow any criminal to go unpunished.”

She pped her hands, and a group of well–trained bodyguards immediately surrounded Simon, quickly pinning him down.

“Take him away and hand him over to the police, along with the evidence,” Vivian said with amanding air.

Then, she stared coldly at Henry. “Mr. Evans, rest assured. If your grandson is innocent, I will personally apologize. On the other hand, if he’s guilty, I’ll make sure he spends the rest of his life in jail.”

Vivian had a faint smile on her lips, but her face was as cold as frost.

With years of experience as a profiler, she had a keen and perceptive mind and a calm reasoning ability. It only took her a few nces to determine that Simon had definitely done those things.

With Vivian’s words so definitive, Henry couldn’t say much more and could only watch as his grandson was taken away.

Moreover, this was the Shea family’s territory, and the photos had been exposed in public. The Shea family couldn’t just ignore it.

Lucas had really yed a ruthless move.

In just a short while, what had happened here had been posted online, causing a huge stir.

With Sean’s help in spreading the news, it quickly ignited public opinion.

The people at the scene were still unaware of what was happening online.

Rowan was stunned. In just a few minutes, Simon had been taken away.

She was foolish and couldn’t help but question Olivia. “Olivia, these photos are doctored—”

Henry’s voice was deep andmanding. “Silence.”

Rowan was taken aback, turning her head to look at Henry’s expression. “Henry—”

She didn’t understand what Henry was afraid of.

Henry was really at his wits‘ end. Rowan was more of a hindrance than a help.

If they dared to bring out the photos, they weren’t afraid of being investigated.
