“This young girl can’t be experienced. No matter how impressive she may be, she’s still not as remarkable as Henry.”
Mitchell shifted ufortably as he listened to the debate. Leaning toward Olivia, he whispered, “Maybe we should just drop this. Neither Lucas nor I know anything about medicine. What if something goes wrong?”
“Lucas.” Olivia ignored Mitchell entirely, fixing Lucas with a pointed look.
“Lucas,e on, talk some sense into her,” Mitchell pleaded, tugging on his brother’s sleeve.
Lucas yanked his arm away, exasperated. ‘My idiot brother,‘ he thought. In one swift motion, he kicked Mitchell’s legs out from under him.
Sitting on the floor and rubbing his sore shin, Mitchell finally fell silent.
Henry stood there, smiling as he looked at Olivia, not taking bo
seriously.
He thought, ‘What could possiblye from pairing a broke young student with a cynical trust–fund baby? I’ll bet they don’t even know how to write a proper prescription.
‘And even if she can do anything, the second it’s revealed that her mentor is Grace, everyone will see her for what she truly is.’
That year, the incident in which Grace nearly poisoned all the children in an orphanage caused a sensation throughout Hirica.
He knew that the moment the Shea family learned Olivia was Grace’s protégé, they would forbid her from treating Winston.
Natalie also followed in to take a look. The patient’s illness was so severe that even Henry could barely manage to cure it. She thought Olivia would certainly not be able to do anything.
Olivia’s brow furrowed as she checked the patient’s wrist. His pulse was strong and his breathing regr, but she found no clear cause for his condition.
Lucas appeared entirely unconcerned, lounging with his legs crossed as he leisurely observed Olivia. If she couldn’t cure it, then no one could.
“Describe your symptoms.” Olivia lowered her eyes and smiled.
“I just feel like my hands and feet are always cold, and I haven’t been able to eat or sleep well.” The patient’s face was mostly hidden behind a mask, but his voice sounded elderly.
“Sometimes, I also get this tightness and pain in my chest, and I just have no energy.” He handed Olivia a scan from the hospital. “I had this done, but they said nothing showed up.”
‘No wonder his condition has been so hard to pin down,‘ Olivia thought. She was quiet for a moment, and then her expression softened. “Don’t worry. There’s nothing seriously wrong.”

“What do you mean?” the old man asked, his low voice tinged with doubt. “You can tell that just from checking my pulse? I’ve been to several hospitals already.”
“What you’re experiencing–poor cirction, low appetite, and fatigue–it’s all rted to your daily life,” Olivia exined gently. “Try to avoid stress, cut back onte nights and strong tea, and incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your diet.”
After she finished speaking, Olivia picked up her pen, wrote a prescription, and handed it to the old man. Smiling, she turned and left the room.
The entire process took no more than five minutes.
Everyone outside the room was stunned. It had only been a short while, and she was done.
Natalie gave a derisiveugh. “Oh, you came out so quickly. Found nothing, huh?”
“What could she possibly understand?”
“A yboy and an arrogant girl–what could the two of them possibly figure out?”
“Mr. Evans remained inside for thirty minutes, whereas theysted only five. It is likely that they were unable to linger any longer.”
Upon hearing these murmurs, the smile on Henry’s face grew broader.
‘The Evans family is renowned. No way they would instead trust a young girl. I’m their choice,‘ he thought.
Standing outside the crowd, Curtis merely shook his head and said nothing.
Meanwhile, Vivian received the final result, and a glimmer appeared in her eyes.
As expected, it was just as she had anticipated.
