“I believe Mr. Evans‘ misdiagnosis was due to lung congestion seen on the X–ray.” Olivia spoke with shing eyes and a faint smile. “So he concluded it was a pulmonary function issue. Actually, it was merely a smudge on the image.”
Everyone’s eyes widened in disbelief. They thought, ‘She even exined why Mr. Evans made a diagnostic error?‘
Natalie murmured, “How could that be? The patient had clear symptoms of a bitter taste and dry mouth. How could it not be the case?”
“A dry or bitter mouth rtes to air quality and water intake,” Olivia said clearly.
She added, “This patient drinks strong coffee–he’ll drink a ton when he’s in a good mood, but sometimes goes all day without water if he’s down. So yeah, it’s pretty normal for him to feel like this.”
Mitchell watched Olivia as she spoke, then turned to look at Lucas in confusion, like he was saying, “Dang, she really knows her stuff?”
Lucas just rolled his eyes like he was saying, “Duh.”
Olivia continued, “It is not a serious illness. Avoid anger andte nights, and he should recover within half a month.”
Before Henry could even get a word in, an old man strolled out from behind the curtain. “Hey, kid, you got some serious skills.”
Everyone turned at the sound. The old guy had salt–and–pepper hair and a face full of stories, but his cheeks were rosy and his eyes sparkled. He burst outughing, shing a huge, toothy grin.
He said, “You are indeed an interesting young girl.”
Vivian walked up with a smile and said, “Grandpa.”
The old man was vigorous and spoke with a resonant voice, showing no signs whatsoever of illness.
“I heard everything you all said.” Winston grabbed Vivian’s hand and said loudly, “The girl nailed it–my problem is exactly what she said. She gets first ce, hands down. If anyone’s got a problem with that,e talk to me.”
As soon as he finished speaking, he nced at Cheryl and let out a snort. He knew it was always Cheryl instigating the situation. He thought, ‘Pretty, but she is far too scheming.‘
Cheryl felt creeped out under his gaze, retreating and hiding behind Henry.
With Winston Shea speaking up, nobody dared say a word.
Henry was fuming inside, but he forced a smile. He said, “My friend, this is all a misunderstanding.”

Vivian said with a threatening smile, “Mr. Evans, my grandfather certainly never had a friend like you.”
Henry’s expression darkened further. Vivian embarrassed him again, but she was from the Shea family- someone he couldn’t afford to offend.
The folks who just backed Henry all looked down, wishing they could melt into the floor.
They had never anticipated that the patient would be Winston. If they’d known, not in a million years would they have sided with Henry.
Cheryl’s mind raced. She panicked, thinking, ‘If the Evans family tanks, I’m screwed.‘
In the book, the Evans family made it to the end just fine. That was why she had her folks bend over backwards to kiss up to them, so she could be their adopted daughter.
‘My good days just started–the Evans family cannot go down now,‘ she thought. ‘Wait. The Revival Grassb!/b‘
“Grandpa Henry, don’t worry. You still have the Revival Grass.” Cheryl immediately calmed Henry and reminded him. “That is a vital ingredient for the Refreshing Pill, and there is only one such herb in the world.”
Henry’s eyes lit up like he just got smacked with wisdom. He thought, ‘That’s right. I still haven’t taken out my
ace.‘
He immediatelyposed himself and raised his voice. “Mr. Shea, I feel so sorry that I messed up your diagnosis. But you gotta believe me, I didn’t do it on purpose.
“But honestly, I came to this party for an even bigger reason.” Henry waved for the waiter to bring something
over.
He said, “I know your grandson’s sick, and you guys have been trying to get the Refreshing Pill. Trouble is, that pill’s missing one crucial ingredient. Lucky for you, I just happened toe across it.”
Everyone knew how rare that pill was and how impossible it was to get that missing herb.
Winston had seen all kinds of crazy things. He lifted his hand, looking serious. “Mr. Evans, you know as well as
I do how rare the Revival Grass is. If you really have it, I’ll pay whatever it takes.”
Although Winston was somewhat irritable, he cared deeply for his grandchildren. If Henry truly possessed Revival Grass, Winston would definitely buy it.
“I sure do,” Henry said, opening the wooden box himself to show everyone.
“That’s the Revival Grass!” someone cried, spotting it right away.
Even Troy stood up. He thought, ‘Did Henry truly manage to obtain the Revival Grass?‘
Curtis just nced at it, shook his head, and stayed calm. He thought, “That herb’s been gone for years. Even if it showed up again, how could itnd in Henry’s hands?‘
This herb was extremely rare and disappeared three years ago. It was said that the Phantom Healer was unable to cultivate Revival Grass, and as a result, the Refreshing Pill could no longer be produced.

The most remarkable property of Revival Grass was not its use in producing the Refreshing Pill but the ability to neutralize all poisons and prolong life.
Three years ago, in Hirica, an olddy fell gravely ill. It was the Phantom Healer who used thest Revival Grass, thereby saving her life. There shouldn’t be even one left now.
Curtis wondered, ‘How could the Evans family possess Revival Grass?‘
Even Vivian finally looked moved. The Shea family had been chasing doctors for years, all for her brother and sister’s lives.
The Shea family was rich enough, but they didn’t have enough time. Andrew had been frail since childhood. Fortune–tellers had all predicted that he wouldn’t make it past thirty. The Shea family’s most beloved youngest daughter didn’t have much time left.
No one outside the Shea family was aware of these matters.
Vivian thought, ‘If we just had one Revival Grass, at least Andrew or Jenny could be saved.
Before Winston could speak, Vivian said, “Mr. Evans, since you know how important the Revival Grass is to the Shea family, just name your price.”
She figured, with enough money, she could buy that grass, no doubt.
At these words, an uproar ensued. Being able to name a price with the Shea family was a very enticing offer. Everyone looked at Henry with great envy.
Just a minute ago, folks thought the Evans family pissed off the Sheas, and now boom–the tables turned and the Sheas needed them. No one knew whose side to be on now.
However, Henry shook his head and smiled graciously. “We know what your family’s going through, so we decided to give you the Revival Grass as a gift.”
Winston also raised his eyebrows, somewhat surprised. He wondered, ‘Would the Evans family be so generous? Yeah, right. There has to be a catch.‘
Sure enough, Henry added, “But there is one catch: The Evans family wants to be the Sheas‘ only doctors and medical partner. Deal?”
