Henry figured, ‘Right now, I’d better y nice and think of a workaroundter.
“Natalie may be mischievous, but it was only a minor mistake. Let’s not hold it against her,” Henry said with a smile. Then, turning to Olivia, he continued, “But since you say the herb is fake, how about you prove it?”
Henry thought, ‘I’ll just make this girl vouch for the herb. Once that’s done, I can handle the fallout!
“It is quite simple. Take a bite, and you will understand.” Olivia stared intently at him. “I need to warn you that the fake Revival Grass is extremely toxic. Eat it, and you’ll be dead in ten minutes. Wanna bet your life?”
Olivia’s voice seemed to be magical, making Henry want to change his mind.
Olivia meant he could only prove its authenticity by personally testing it on himself. If he didn’t dare, it meant the herb was fake. But no way was Henry gonna risk his own life.
While Henry was deep in thought, Olivia cast a sidelong nce at Cheryl and said, “Cheryl, did you ever think that the Revival Grass you stole from the orphanage was fake?”
Cheryl jumped, stammered, and shook her head. “I–I didn’t steal anything! I have never been to Sunrise Orphanage.” Her pitiable demeanor quickly elicited sympathy from those around her.
Mitchell rolled his eyes. “Ms. Sherman, stop pretending. Olivia never mentioned ‘Sunrise Orphanage‘ at all, okay?”
‘What a dumbass,‘ Mitchell thought.
“No, I…” Cheryl bit her lip, her eyes brimming with tears. She felt deep regret and thought, ‘Why did I have to say so much?‘
Natalie, pissed that her bestie was being picked on, jumped out. “Enough! There’s only one orphanage in Hirica. using us because of that is way too much.”
Everyone saw Cheryl’s reaction, and it was highly likely that she had stolen the herb for the Evans family; however, no one had expected it to be a fake.
Still, as long as the orphanage stayed quiet, it wasn’t a big deal. Even if the Evans family had stolen it, it didn’t
matter.
Most of the crowd just watched. Cheryl looked so pathetic anyway; some folks actually felt sorry for her.
But some individuals spoke out against unfairness.
Troy was furious. “Kids these days have no sense. Straight up stealing stuff? Unbelievable!”
Mitchell joined in the scolding. “Exactly. They stole the herb and then gave it to the Shea family–just trying to gain for nothing.”
The two were totally on the same page. With these words, the Shea family was even less likely to take the

“You guys know what you did,” Olivia said, peeking at her watch. “But now, prove if this Revival Grass is real.
“What, scared now?” Olivia shot Henry a look. “Didn’t you swear this was legit?”
Cornered by Olivia, Henry walked up to her. He lowered his voice. “Listen, kid, sometimes you gotta let things go. The Evans family is influential in this city. You sure you wanna cross me?”
Olivia looked at him, her smile bold and unrestrained. “That’s a threat? But your day of reckoning’s here. Get ready for hell,” she said, pping her hands.
With a loud bang, the main doors of the hall were kicked open.
Cops in full SWAT gear stormed in, armed to the teeth, like they were here on a serious bust.
Before anyone could say a word, they pped cuffs on Henry and his crew.
Henry struggled. “Who are you? Why are you arresting me?”
The team leader shed his badge. “Kingtonelle Criminal Case Investigation Team, please cooperate!”
Everyone was stunned and thought, ‘That investigation team only handles the biggest cases. Why would theye here to arrest Henry?‘
Vivian remained silent, watching with indifference as members of the Evans family were apprehended.
She’d heard about the stuff the Evans family had pulled. If anything, the cops werete–these psychos had gone unpunished for way too long.
Olivia poured a cup of coffee for Nina, her face expressionless. “Watch closely–the consequence of our enemy.”
Nina nodded, staring at the scene, determined to burn it into her memory.
Rowan shouted hoarsely, “Let go. We are from the Evans family–how dare you!”
One cop taped her mouth shut and shoved her head down.
That was when Henry realized how screwed he was–this had all been set up. He immediately put on a smile. “Sir, please don’t misunderstand. I am from the Evans family, the one in Kingtonelle…”
“Ryan Evans, the guy you bribed into office in Kingtonelle? He’s already been stripped of his job,” the lead cop said, stone cold. “Thought you could buy your way to safety?”
Ryan was from a branch of the Evans family. Henry paid a significant price to send him to serve as an official in Kingtonelle, all to make things easier for the Evans family. And now he was told that Ryan had been arrested.
Henry was stunned, but continued to make excuses. “Impossible! Ryan has always been an honest official, serving the country and the people.”

“Save it!” the cop red at him and snapped. “Ryan spilled everything you guys did.

“Like swapping out cheap equipment for real medical gear and cashing in, scamming patients, threatening loans, doing botched surgeries that killed people–hell, you even poisoned families to shut them up. Some real psycho shit.”
That hit home for Nina–her eyes filled with tears. Finally, someone saw what they’d suffered.
The cop added, “And don’t forget–your people ran that whole surrogacy and child–selling ring in Magnolia Town; working with traffickers, tricking college girls, forcing them into surrogacy, and even organ trafficking. You treat people like livestock!
“All of it–downright evil. Arresting you is getting off easy,” the cop said, gripping Henry’s chin. “When it’s execution day, I’ll be first in line to pull the trigger.”
In addition, the Evans Group had also engaged in numerous illicit activities behind the scenes. All of these matters would be thoroughly settled with Henry.
Henry shook his head in disbelief and eximed hysterically, “Impossible! I don’t believe it. The Evans family bis /binnocent. I am innocent.” He looked like a total madman.
Natalie was extremely frightened and pleaded with a tearful voice, “Mom, Uncle Henry, please think of something.”
Rowan realized it was over for the Evanses. The only one she couldn’t bear to lose was her daughter–a brat who always made enemies.
But Natalie was Rowan’s beloved daughter. In order to save Natalie’s life, Rowan even had Fiona adopt a child just to get a bone marrow match for Natalie. No way Rowan’d watch her daughter go down with the Evans family.
Rowan sobbed and struggled, desperate for someone to notice her.
