Lucas nodded. He hadn’t done anything shady, so there was no reason for him to feel guilty.

Winston dered, “Enough. The matter concerning the Evans family will be investigated by the proper people. The party cannot go on. You may all leave.” His tone was so firm that it felt like he was giving orders.

That was it–the party was over. Taking Winston’s word as final, the guests began filing out.

Olivia calmly sipped her coffee and handed Nina a tissue to wipe her tears. No one in their wildest dreams would connect a girl like her to a crisis that had shaken the entire Clusia.

Curtis sensed something amiss. Before leaving, he approached Olivia with practiced grace. “May I have a word with you?”

Without even ncing at him, Olivia replied, “I’m not interested in making friends.”

Her words left Curtis momentarily speechless, yet he showed no irritation. He just kept smiling faintly, his face looking good under the light.

“It’s fine. See you.” With that, he turned and left, receding into the distance.

Lucas watched him leave and instinctively shook his head. “He’s still the same as when we were kids–always putting on a front.”

Olivia raised her eyebrows. “Care to borate?”

Lucas said, “We all used to call him the ‘big poser‘. Ever since we were kids, wherever he went, he carried that look like nothing in the world could faze him, like he saw right through everything.”

Lucas exined, “He hasn’t changed a bit. Girls go crazy for that type. What do you call it… a smooth yer, right?

“What makes him better than me? Why does every girl rave about how good–looking he is, while all I ever get bis /bthe dreaded ‘nice guy‘bel?”

Lucas leaned closer to Olivia, his expression deadly serious. “Olivia, just be real. Who’s hotter, me or him?”

Olivia replied with no expression, “Him.” She had never been one to lie.

Lucas copsed onto the table, pounding his legs wildly as if struck by a terrible fact.

Mitchell burst intoughter at Olivia’s blunt honesty, unable to stop himself.

Olivia paid him no mind and turned instead to check on Nina.

From the very start of the video, Nina had been crying nonstop. Her eyes were swollen, and her once–bright gaze clouded with tears. The drops rolled down her cheeks, leaving faint streaks across her face.

“Olivia, they finally got what they deserved.” Nina buried herself in Olivia’s embrace, her shoulders trembling

    incessantly as she sobbed.

“Yeah.” Olivia stroked Nina’s forehead softly. “Karma is real.”

Now that the Evans family had fallen, all those who had colluded with them were thrown into panic, especially Cheryl, who had just been taken in as their adopted daughter.

The downfall of the Evans family hade so suddenly that no one had been prepared. And no one had a clue who took them down so quietly.

Mitchell suddenly asked, “Olivia, who do you think had the guts to take the Evans family down?”

“Aren’t you happy about it?” Olivia gave him a casual nce, her expression cool. She remembered well that the Grant family and the Evans family had always been enemies.

“Of course, I am.” Mitchell pped the table and leapt to his feet, his face lit with excitement. “I’ll buy out every firework in Hirica and set them off for three days to celebrate.”

Lucas got this weird sense of déjà vu. The way Mitchell was being so loud and carefree kind of lifted his mood.

“Very well.” Olivia’s tone stayed calm. “Maybe it was Lucas.”

Lucas pointed at himself, baffled. “Me?”

“No way.” Mitchell shot Lucas a look of disdain. “If he were that smart, the Grant family would have surpassed the Evans family long ago, instead of being under their thumb for over a decade.”

Lucas rubbed his forehead with a bitter smile. “That much is true.”

“Your family’s businesses include hospitals, too. Aren’t you afraid?” Olivia looked up at him.

“Of course not. The Grant family has never done anything shady.” Mitchell was brimming with pride. If Lucas hadn’t held him back, he would have climbed onto the table in excitement.

Olivia smiled. “I heard from Grandma Grace that Mr. Logan Grant was a man of integrity. Even when everyone believed she had poisoned the children, he stood firmly by her. A man like that won’t easily fall into danger.”

“Anyway, they finally went down. I’m so happy.” Mitchell pulled out his phone. “I’m going to buy a trending slot online to celebrate.”

Lucas nced at the boisterous Mitchell and just shrugged.

Suddenly, Olivia felt a gaze fixed on her. Instinctively, she lifted her eyes toward the third floor.

Sure enough, someone really was looking at her.

Kicked out of the vi, Margaret shivered violently in the cold.

The investigators entered through the back door, and those taken away had been escorted out the same way.

As a result, Margaret had no idea what had actually happened.

The Shea family kept things locked tight. And this time, Andrew had been in the know from the very beginning.

Dressed in a tailored gray overcoat, Andrew stood before the window, sipping his coffee. When he noticed Olivia looking up, he smiled. “Oops, looks like she caught me.”

“Ethan, why was the system breached?” Andrew’s gaze shifted to Ethan. “Or are you telling me you don’t want to work here anymore?”

Ethan was at a loss for words. Someone had just broken through the Shea family’s firewall and forcibly streamed the video in. It was the first time the Shea family had ever suffered a hacker intrusion.

He said, “Mr. Shea, they came so suddenly. We truly were powerless to stop it.”

The hacker’s ID was encrypted, and when they traced the signal, all they found was a virtual address. It was clear the hacker was a seasoned hand at cyber infiltration.

“I don’t want excuses.” Andrew hated exnations after the fact. The damage was done, and apologies didn’t mean anything. What he wanted was answers.

“Understood, Mr. Shea.” Ethan stiffened. “We’ve already sent word to Shadow Syndicate, and we’re reaching out to Enigma Institute, hoping to track the man down quickly.”

Ethan suddenly thought of something and added, “It almost reminds me of—”

“I’ve already confirmed. It wasn’t Mystery.” Andrew cut him off.

At first, they suspected Mystery right away, but after digging deeper, they confirmed it wasn’t him.

“Mr. Shea, I wasn’t talking about Mystery.” Ethan shook his head, his expression solemn. “Do you remember Queen?”

Queen showed up out of nowhere four years ago as a hidden protector in the dark. With code as her weapon, she carved out truth and stood as a shield for justice.
