Olivia was even better than Henry.

“Shut up,” Margaret said, her voice dripping with contempt for Olivia. The very thought of her made her blood boil, and she regretted ever taking her in.

Margaret said to Cheryl, “I know you’re kind–hearted, but you must understand, once you get involved with people like them, they’ll never let go.”

Cheryl nodded and said softly, “She truly understands medicine and is incredibly skilled. She even outdid Henry. Even Winston had nothing but praise for her.” Cheryl was so angry that she clenched her teeth.

“What?” Margaret almost yelled, her voice rising with frustration, “Did Winston really take an interest in her?”

If Winston had set his sights on Olivia, their entire n would have been ruined.

Cheryl shook her head. “No. He is just interested in her, and he even brought her up to his grandsons.” She paused, then shifted her focus. “I’m pretty sure Grace taught her medicine.”

“The Grant boys?” Margaret squinted slightly. “I knew she would manage to get close to the Grant family. Don’t worry, those two boys from the Grant family are losers.

“I’m impressed by what Grace did for her,” Margaret said, her tone filled with contempt.

“What do you mean? Does Ms. Lane have any connections?” Cheryl frowned. If that were true, she would have to be more cautious.

Margaret sneered. “She’s just the head of an orphanage. She’s from a small town with no backing whatsoever. If there’s anything special about her, it’s probably the affairs she got herself into when she was young.”

Margaret snorted. “I don’t know the details, but it seems she’s had affairs with Henry, Logan, and Troy.

“She was good at medicine back then, but after she poisoned those kids at the orphanage, her reputation was ruined, and she ended up in court. Since then, only the Grant family has backed her up, so it’s not surprising they’re so close.”

Cheryl hadn’t heard that part of the story before. It was only now that she realized why Grace’s medical skills were so remarkable, and why she was connected to the leaders of the major families in Hirica.

She didn’t get why Margaret had waited so long to tell her such important information.

Margaret noticed Cheryl’s difort, assuming it was due to potential trouble with the Evans family. She pulled her closer. “Don’t worry. The key thing now is we need to find a new ally. Getting close to the Shea family would be the best move.”

Margaret said pointedly, “Cheryl, men are obsessed with you. You’ll definitely be able to win over that young heir of the Shea family.”

Cheryl forced a bitter smile. Margaret was always urging her to use her beauty to get men’s attention, but Andrew wasn’t some superficial guy who only cared about looks.

“Actually, there is a way to get into the Shea Manor,” Cheryl said slowly.

“What is it?” Margaret asked.

Cheryl said, “When Henry was taken away, the Revival Grass was left in the Shea family’s living room. They will definitely let us igo /iin and retrieve it, but the problem is, we already gave the Revival Grass to the Evans family.”

“It doesn’t matter,” Margaret cut in. “The Evans family has been arrested. No one cares about them now. The Revival Grass originally came from the Sherman family, so it makes perfect sense for us to retrieve it.”

Margaret gently stroked Cheryl’s face and said, “You’re so smart, always keeping your guard up. I’m so proud of you. The best decision I ever made was bringing you into this world.”

Cheryl didn’t say a word, but the image of Olivia examining patients earlier today kept shing in her mind. She couldn’t exactly pinpoint it, but something about it felt strange.

Cheryl didn’t realize how much Olivia had taken up space in her mind. Every time something rted to her came up, she found herself turning hostile and harsh.

ording to the original storyline, Olivia was just a minor character with no real significance. The main focus of the story was Cheryl’s entrepreneurial journey, followed by a man’s love story that would unfold muchter.

She couldn’t shake the feeling that what was happening now didn’t quite align with the story she had been reading. The differences were stark, as if the characters were the same, but the plot had taken an entirely different turn.

She wondered, ‘Could my appearance have caused a butterfly effect? Either way, I can’t let Olivia continue to ruin things for me.’

Margaret didn’t dwell on it. She thought Olivia couldn’t cause any real problems. Olivia had dropped out of school after middle school, while Cheryl had made it into Kingtonelle University. It was pretty obvious who had the upper hand.

She was confident that once Cheryl got close to the Shea family and established herself in Kingtonelle, the Sherman family would make aplete turnaround.

Margaret was lost in her fantasies of the future when Cheryl interrupted her. “Mom, who did the Evans family offend to end up in such a messb?/b”

There weren’t many people in Clusia who had the ability to do something like this.

“The Evans family has been reckless, making a lot of enemies.” Margaret rolled her eyes. “Every one of them is a troublemaker. Maybe one of their enemies secretly filmed them and turned them in.

“Bad deeds always catch up with you. Alright, enough about that. Let’s go back and figure out how to make use of your dad’s birthday party.”

Cheryl nodded. She felt that she was the main character in this story, so there was nothing for her to worry about.

Meanwhile, just as Olivia was about to leave, she was stopped by Vivian.

Vivian was polite yetmanding. “Wait a second. I have a gift for you.”

She stood at the door, her hair gently blowing in the wind, revealing an effortless charm. Draped in a ck coat, her delicate. corbones were exposed, exuding both wildness and allure.

Mitchell was taken aback. “What? What do you want with Olivia?”

Mitchell spoke so loudly that it made people ahead of them turn around. They were surprised to see Vivian wanting to speak with such a young girl.

Vivian squinted, a threatening glint shing in her eyes. She lowered her voice and said, “I wasn’t talking to you, kid.”

She then looked up at Olivia, her expression softening. “Someone asked me to give you the Revival Grass. Ms. Summers, this way.” Vivian gave a slight bow.

Lucas, worried that Olivia might be mistreated, quickly stepped in front of her. “I’ll go with her.”
