He handed her a cup and said, “Jenny specifically asked me to bring you this. Hot chocte. Go ahead and have some. I’ll handle things with them.”

With Andrew taking care of everything, Olivia could finally let herself breathe. She took hot chocte and passed it to Ang first. Ang’s emotions were all over the ce, and Olivia figured she needed

it far more than she did.

Ang replied, “It’s okay, I’m fine. When I get marriedb, /byou’ve got toe celebrate with me.”

Olivia smiled and nodded, and then started drinking, sipping it quietly as she finally allowed herself a moment of peace.

“And make sure to bring your boyfriend along, too,” Ang added with a smile.

Olivia froze, not quite following. Then it hit her: Ang had mistaken Andrew for her boyfriend. She had no idea how to clear up the misunderstanding, and before she knew it, she just nodded along.

Well, that pretty much made it official–Andrew was now her ‘boyfriend‘ by default.

Andrew hadn’t gone far, and when he overheard that, his eyebrows arched, and he couldn’t help but let a grin slip. As Olivia turned to look his way, he quickly cleared his throat, trying to y it cool–like he hadn’t heard ba /bthing.

Jenny gave Andrew a look of utter contempt, her face full of disgust. She scoffed inwardly, ‘Look at him, acting all chill but secretly loving it.‘

Then she bounced over to Olivia, grabbed hér hand, and checked her from head to toe. She said, “Olivia, are you okay? You nearly scared me to death. If anyone dares mess with you, I’ll wreck them.”

As she spoke, she even pulled a scary face to show she meant business.

Ang chimed in, “How are you supposed to take anyone out? You’re just a little squirt.”

Jenny puffed up her cheeks, looking all innocent and proud. She said, “I’ll just have Andrew handle it

for me.”

Ang said, “You’re so cute.” She turned to Olivia and asked, “Is she your sister?”

Before Olivia could answer, Jenny bsaid/b, “Nope. She’s my future sister–inw.”

Jenny had already called dibs on Olivia as Andrew’s future wife,

Ang immediately realized that Jenny was Andrew’s younger sister.

Olivia just shook her head, not even bothering to exin. She thought, ‘Kids are just blunt like that.”

When Donald was dragged in, he was still hooked up to an IV, barely hanging on–looked like he could drop dead any minute. minute.

Donald was desperate to stay alive. Gina had already died from the poison, and he was determined not to end up like her. He thought, ‘Once I get my strength back, I will drag that little brat down with

me if ites to it.’

But just as he was still on the drip, a bunch of people barged in, tied him up, and hauled him off, IV

and all.

It wasn’t until Edward staggered in, barely on his feet, that Donald made a desperate attempt to sit olliup. /li/ol

The inclothes cops moved quickly, pinning Donald down. At Andrew’s signal, they forced a dose of medicinal herbs down Donald’s throat to keep him conscious.

Donald, who had been suffering badly, suddenly felt much better, his energy slowly returning. He shot a suspicious look at the people in front of him. “What did you just give me?” he demanded.

Andrew said, “It’s the antidote. But it’s just a third of the real thing. If you want to stay alive, you’d better answer every question we ask.”

Edward shot Andrew a puzzled look. He thought, ‘How the heck does he have the antidote?‘

There was no real antidote. The so–called herbs were bjust /brandom weeds Ethan had grabbed from the roadside, mixed with something to keep Donald awake–just enough to threaten him.

Whenever Olivia brewed up ba /bpoison, she never bothered to make an antidote.

Richard stood off to the side, his face serious. He said, “Donald, you’d better start talking.” He then nced nervously at Andrew and added, “The Evans family can’t protect us anymore.”
