Richard wasn’t stupid. The warning in Edward’s words was crystal clear. Given his current situation, he’d count his blessings just to keep his position–no way he’d risk talking about any of this to

anyone.

Edward then fixed a hard stare on Donald and said, “And as for him, human trafficking, luring women -let him rot in prison for the rest of his life.”

His gut told him that if he wanted to find Ivy, he needed to keep Donald alive.

“Why not just kill him?” Charles asked, his eyes cold as he stared at Edward.

Edward replied, “Old habits die hard, I guess. I just have a hunch we’ll need him if we want to find Ivy.”

Charles said, “But he’s hurt so many girls. Those girls are someone’s daughters, someone’s precious little sisters.”

Suddenly, a lightbulb went off in Donald’s head–something just clicked. He went over every clue and found that Ivy and Olivia matched up in every way.

He then looked up, studying Charles closely, and noticed just how much he resembled Olivia, especially around the eyes.

He thought, ‘No doubt about it. It’s exactly what I thought. Bunch of idiots–the person they’re looking for is right under their nosesb, /band they still can’t see it. But I won’t tell them. This is my ace in

the hole.”

Suddenly, he screamed, “Go ahead and kill me–none of you will ever find that damn girl.”

But nobody bothered to listen to his crazy ranting.

Human traffickers had this habit–they always kept photos of their victims. Donald was still clutching those photos of the children. Each picture bwas /bbeled with the price the child had fetched or the

amount they could stillmand.

Rich families balways /bwanted boys. Girls were tougher to get rid of–unless they were pretty, then

someone might buy them to raise as a child bride.

Donald said, “If you bpromised /bto let me go, I’d hand over the photos.”

Charles’s lips twisted into ba /bcruel smirk, and he bsaid/b, “No one threatens me. Cripple him, then throw him bin /bthe Summers family prison. And remember–make sure he gets special treatment.”

His men nodded, duct–taped Donald’s mouth shut, and dragged him off.

Charles thought, ‘I don’t need anyone’s help–I can find Ivy on my own. As long as she is still out there, I’ll find her. One day, no matter what.‘

“Charles, let him live,” Edward said, his face drained of color, eyes starting to lose focus,

Charles frowned, but gave a small nod. He thought, ‘If Edward insists on keeping Donald alive, he must bhave /bhis reasons.’

Out of nowhere, Edward suddenly fell backward and crashed hard onto the floor.

Ethan’s heart skipped a beat–he was freaking out. He quickly grabbed Edward, making sure he didn’t get hurt any worse. He said, “Crap. Ms. Summers warned us his body was already running on fumes. We need to get him emergency help, fast.”

“Is there a hospital around here?” Charles scowled, annoyed.

Ethan replied, “Technically, yeah.”

The so–called hospital was just a cover for a dirty surrogacy business. No way they’d be able to save Edward in a ce like that.

Andrew said, “Get the car–we’re taking him to the city hospital.”

Just then, Olivia walked in and said, “Don’t bother with all that. He’s not dying.”

Seeing Olivia, Ethan finally rxed. He asked, “Ms. Summersb, /bcan you save him?”

As a wage ve, Ethan was nothing more than a pack mule. No matter if it was the heirs, the heiresses, or any of their cousins, if he was on duty, it was his job to keep them out of trouble.

If anything went wrong, he’d be the one getting docked pay. At this rate, he’d be paying off his

mortgage for the next eighty years.

“I can fix this,” Olivia said, her tone t. She crouched down, checked Edward’s eyelids, and took his pulce
