CHAPTER 59: FIRST DAY

The scene shifts.

We see the newly opened Shining Star Bank. A large crowd of people was standing outside the bank.

One of them a middle-aged man in a simple work shirt came forward.

He spoke to the person next to him. "Do you know what this bank is saying?" he asked his voice a mixture of excitement and disbelief.

The second man looked at the first man.

He had a very surprised expression on his face. "Yes I heard it," he said. "It’s unbelievable."

Then the other people present there who were standing in the long queue started to slowly go inside the bank. They had all seen the marketing team of Shining Star Bank.

The team had passed by their neighborhood a little while ago.

They had been told that within the first week of its opening the bank would give them a loan of up to one million dollars. And even loans above that would be given at just one percent interest.

Hearing this all the people present there were shocked. At first they did not believe it. It sounded too good to be true. It sounded like a scam.

But now they wanted to see for themselves how much truth there was in it. So they all started going towards the bank one by one.

This was a very golden opportunity. A chance they could not afford to miss.

There were a lot of people standing outside the bank. The queue was getting longer and longer. And the crowd was increasing one by one.

Smith was present inside the bank. He was sitting with Andrew in the main office. They were watching the chaos unfold on the security cameras.

Andrew looked at the growing crowd. "We should be prepared for an even more difficult situation," he said his voice a little tense.

Smith just shook his head after listening to Andrew.

He then called all the bank staff present around him. He called them towards him and told all of them to try to finish their work as quickly as possible.

To process the applications as fast as they could.

One staff member who was a little older looked at Smith and Andrew.

"Our workforce is falling short sir," he said. "If we have to complete this work we will need more people. Many more people."

On hearing this Smith got very upset.

"I can see that too," he said his voice sharp with frustration.

Smith knew that he had expected the name of his bank to slowly start spreading after a week.

But he had never expected that so many people would come on the very first day. The response was overwhelming.

Andrew took a deep breath.

He stood up. "Okay for now all of you try to handle all these people," he said to the staff. "I will make arrangements for more people." Saying this he started to leave from there.

Smith knew how capable Andrew was. He let Andrew go without saying anything.

He knew that Andrew would surely bring help.

We then see that as Andrew came out of the bank he collected from a staff member the contact information of all the people he had interviewed for jobs in the bank but had not yet hired.

He had a long list of potential employees. And he was about to call every single one of them.

While the crowd was continuously increasing outside the bank on the other hand we see the marketing team of Shining Star Bank roaming around the city.

They were giving a thousand dollars to everyone they met. Just to listen to their pitch.

And while talking to them they were telling them about Shining Star Bank.

Especially its advantages. Like the high interest rate for keeping money in any type of bank account. 8 percent per month. And also the easy and free transfer from one bank to another.

It was a revolutionary offer. An offer that no one could refuse. An offer that was about to change the financial landscape of Viper City forever.

The war had begun.

And Shining Star Bank had just fired its first shot.

A billion-dollar shot that would echo through the entire country. The world of finance would never be the same again.

Adam’s plan was working. Perfectly.

Also the bank would not charge the customer for the transfer of funds from one bank to another.

The bank would pay for it itself. Everyone got too curious.

They thought they would go and see it for themselves. Because of this strategy people started discussing Shining Star Bank everywhere in the in the city.

After a short while Andrew also entered the bank. Behind him many people wearing black clothes also entered. He pointed to the staff member who was working inside the bank.

He showed him all the people behind him. "Explain the work to all of them quickly," he said. Andrew had brought more than 50 people.

The whole day passed by doing the same thing.

Still Smith was sitting inside the office with Andrew. Both of them had documents in their hands.

There were many people in their office. Those who had papers in their hands. We see that the crowd outside the bank had reduced now. But many people were still coming.

The reason for this crowd being less was not that the discussion about this bank had ended. Rather Smith had given an order from the top to announce the closure of the bank.

And to tell everyone to come tomorrow. That was why a lot of people were still coming. But they had to leave disappointed.

Inside the office Smith took a deep breath. He kept all those papers aside.

He looked at Andrew. "Today we have opened more than ten thousand accounts," he said his voice a little tired but also filled with a sense of accomplishment.

"And we have given loans to more than twenty-five hundred people. Out of which the maximum amount was ten million dollars."
